Great pub! Excellent selection of beer on tap as well as cider. The food is delicious! Nice selections on the menu. Reasonable prices. You can order drinks and food from an app and they will bring it to your table, whether you are indoors or outdoors. Great location. Right near a bus stop. Friendly and attentive staff. Outdoor seating - of which there is one section for non-smoking and a section for smoking. Clean bathrooms with stalls that aren't tiny like some of the other pubs I have been in.

The decor is more akin to an airport pub or a 3 star hotel but it works well and feels spacious and glamorous. The drink prices are amazing even for a spoons. 99p for a Greene King IPA. Highly recommend best pub I've been to in New Malden.

My acquaintances and I have just tried to order drinks at this lovely establishment however one of us did not have our ID and fair enough she was refused to be served. Baring in mind we are all 20 and 21 and the person who was ID was not even ordering drinks she was just sitting with us. 6 out of 7 had IDs. We were understandably slightly frustrated at this inconvenience. Consequently, one of us proceeded to say "we're all obviously 20". The barman misunderstood this and interpreted it as 'you look 20'. Obviously as the lovely bunch of people that we are, we would never insult a member of staff. However outrageously we have been cut off and are being refused serving despite a thorough apology. Never come here. Terrible experience and we were here for a friend's birthday as well. Disappointing!

Steak night, cooked to perfection, seasoned well and very tasty. Great value with a drink for less than £10 cant go wrong. Nice surroundings spoke to a couple of local gents who were very friendly, all in all a nice evening. Interesting building with local information and history displayed in pictures.

Local pub in New Malden high street along B282 and B283 roundabout. Open all day. Pub is not a typical pub as is huge in itself. Busy at certian times. Drinks cocktails and food very affordable. Accommodating team of staff. Has good toilet facilities. Good place to meet up and chat with colleagues after work or for celebrating special occasions. Has ample outside seating. Place has no parking onsite but you can easily find parking along the road/area. Very highly recommended for a late night out in the area. Will be back soon.

The place is like any other Wetherspoons, it is clean, a great place to celebrate birthdays. Young families are warmly welcome. The price is cheap and cheerful. The portions are adequate and filling. The hot drinks refill is good for students and families who just want to relax and chit chat with one another. It can get quite noisy inside and that means it is a very popular place for the local and not so local people. The chicken was boiled before being roasted so the meat didn’t taste fresh. The meat just slid off the bone. The sauce was indeed spicy.

I like the Watchman and it proves to be a very popular place for lunch and a drink. The food is prepared well but some dishes appear basic. The menu is very affordable and full of choices.

I’ve lived in New Malden for over 13 years and I am ashamed to say I’ve only visited this pub twice. My last visit was a lot of fun with a friend of mine. Being able to order through their mobile app and pay straight away allows for a lot of flexibility and you can take as much time as you want looking at the menu. They offer great and classic pub grub with meal deals at very affordable prices. You really get what you pay for with the quantity and quality of food. Pair the food with some drinks and you’re gonna leave a very happy customer. Be sure to check it out if you feel like you can’t chose out of the growing food options in New Malden high street.

This was a good spoons. Staff smartly dressed. Keen to keep customers happy. All tables spotless and no rubbish. Food was actually really good this time as it can be touch and go sometimes. Friend had the steak and it was also really good.

Had a horrendous experience here today with a staff who was dismissive and rude from the get go. Plenty of attitude and the eye rolls- when we asked to speak with the manager, the manager gave us a feeble 'sorry about that, will speak to the staff'. Nothing else came of this and the manager clearly had no intention of dealing with it properly since she didnt even bother to ask us more details about the staff in question (otherwise who would she even know to talk to??). Literally the basics of customer service missing- there was one young gentleman here who served us for a while and he seemed to be the only one with customer service skills (thank you for salvaging our morning) but as for the 'manager' and the other staff? You need some SERIOUS retraining.

Nice interior, warm, welcoming staff. The problem here is every time i come there is only ever one coffee machine on. That's OK unless busy. The kitchen staff can't follow instructions, I asked for well done bacon and clearly wasn't. My fried egg was too snotty, made me feel sick. I know this is all matter of preference but these were my issues with this place

Went in during daytime. New member of staff served me and his attitude and service was very positive and he did my Guinness exactly the way I like it. Thank you Siol! 🤝

I ordered Piri piri chicken but it tasted more like herb chicken with a spicy sauce added. Waitress not able to change as she assured me " that's how it comes" Bit disappointed.

We love this place. We have been there many times and we will go back. Chicken wings are really good, pizza too, hamburger is weak tho. The best part is the vibe there which is amazing. Kitchen looks clean, which is important.

Quality of food is not great but won't get better at the point. What service you need is good enough. Atmosphere is great during day time with lots of families and friendly chatter. In the evening though people are there for drinks only at felt a bit rough.

As usual, comforting food at reasonable price. Very friendly staff and plenty of space to sit down.

Can't go wrong with this location. Always great, we have been coming here for few good years now . Nice place and good food.

Cant complain at all food was lovely and fresh had gourmet burger was spot on perfect plus drinks very reasonably priced to definitly be back, service and staff great 👍

There is also zero alcohol beer ~ Sometimes there is no hot water in the kitchen to cook.~

First time visiting while we were in the area and will not return ever again. Cold food. Rude staff. Not a great atmosphere at all. I went outside and some drunk followed me out and tried to start a fight with me because I didn't live there. If I was you avoid not for little kids at night. But if you live local then I'm sure you like it 😁 if you are an outsider AVOID IT

Went in a group with children. I had the Christmas turkey and it was fabulous. Very busy but service was good. Wouldn't hesitate to go back

Great service, efficient and friendly staff, great food aswell. I had their steak and jacket potato, which was almost perfect only let down by the cut of the steak however that's not the watchman's nor the fault of delicious animal, that aside, still tasted awesome and still had a great time, just what I needed at 8pm on a Tuesday. I can't really speak too badly about the atmosphere as I really wasn't there that long to witness it in full but everyone was happy and so was I so it really can't be bad at all.

First visit to this pub. Very large and plenty of seats. No car park. Ordered through the app, very fast service. Chip portions are small. The burger I ordered the American classic was very small. No mint sauce. A friendly environment to eat and drink.

A nice place for cheap (but delicious!!) afternoon deal. A small pub classic with a beer is just £6.99.

It was great to see this place busy, after the effects of Covid on the hospitality industry. Staff were friendly, approachable and attentive. A good selection of ales, lagers, ciders and other alcoholic beverages, along with non-alcoholic options including tea, coffee and hot chocolate is on offer along with a varied pub menu which includes curry, steak and burgers as well as lighter options, bar snacks and sandwiches. Would definitely revisit and is a good place to meet for a first date and parties are also accommodated. Well done to the team at The Watchman.

Had such a lovely evening. The staff are all amazing even the doorstaff. So friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure all was good.The food is amazing and great prices. But must name two main staff members who were fantastic Liam and Paul. All the staff are so friendly and the cheeky young darked lad behind the bar was funny. A good night was had by myself and my two daughters.

Staff are amazing! Food is above par and comes out quickly and to specification. Loads of tables to sit at in large groups and small. Definitely a place to come to for a nice relaxed breakfast or a great night out.

I have waited 20min for a steak and eggs however I only received the eggs which were cold. I waited 30min for the steak which I order medium rare however it came closer to Well done. I also ordered the ramen noodle bowl which I received warm however I didn't receive noodle but I got Spaghetti pasta inside. I also order two pizzas which were also cold and I had to send back which the were reheated and were only warm. I went there multiple times and was always very happy but today was a disappointment. I believe the Chef need more training and need to learn how to send food
