The pub is lovely inside but unfortunately we had a bad experience. I've tried to contact them twice since and haven't had a response so here we are. I ordered a medium glass of merlot. The server said they were out of merlot, so I just said whatever the house was - I'm not fussy. The server suggested one and brought it. It was fine, not my taste. My friend came and ordered the same as me. We had burgers, they were fine, service was quite slow but they let us stay longer than our booking time. When we got the bill, I saw that the two medium 'house' wines came to over £30. I was shocked and queried it and the server (different to the lady who initially served us) said 'yes we are out of house wine and only have the expensive wine left'. So without asking or telling us, we had been given extortionate wine instead of the house, which I would never have ordered. Bear in mind this was a Saturday evening so 'only having expensive wine' seems bizarre. We should have been warned and I would never have bought it, or the expensive wine should have been charged the house price as that was what I ordered. It's pretty disgusting and deceitful so I won't be returning and would encourage others to check what they are buying very carefully.

The staff were really friendly, it was said to be wheelchair friendly & wasn't. If you have a manual wheelchair & are able to manage a small step you may be able to get in. I couldn't get in with my electric wheelchair. I needed to leave my electric wheelchair in the the Beer garden near the 3 steps from the garden. I went back to 1 of the doors with 1 steps & pulled myself in. Once in the staff were great & I had a child's meal as an adult meal was to much for me to eat, but it was well worth it, I enjoyed it so much. There was no disabled toilet there so go before going.

Beautiful, quite secluded little pub in a great spot. Elegantly festive at Christmas time and a really cosy vibe.

We had a great experience here at The Windsor Castle Pub, great food, we wanted to try fish and chips and the leek pie.

Another amazingly popular pub rammed on Easter Saturday..even the beer garden is booked solid. Luckily the wonderful staff let us sit on a reserved table as we were only here for a quick drink..and ready to go as soon as asked. Had a good Taylor's Landlord. Madge on lime and soda. CAMRA heritage interior....thus in 2023 Good Beer Guide.

Sam Smiths pubs so you pretty much know what your getting. The stout is nice. My Mrs worked here many many moons ago, hence our visit.

The Windsor Castle, a super pub on Camden Hill Road. A great pub if you are not too tall, there are gates dividing the pub, a great journey to get through. An excellent selection of both cask and keg beers served by excellent members of staff. a delightful place to visit and have beer/Food/ conversation.

Lovely old pub. Interesting menu. Pricey wine list. We had oven baked cod. Tasty but far too many ratte potatoes bulking up the portion. Veg were pretty scarce! Fish a chips sadly fish was dry so maybe cooked early. Steak Pie was recommended by our waitress but was dull and veg looked overcooked my brownie with salted caramel was very good.. Very dark day so our party moved from main pub area for more light. Beautiful outside space for summer enjoyment. Will try again in better weather. Verdict: lovely reunion with friends. Menu looks good but results are underwhelming.

Gorgeous pub. Friendly staff. Can’t wait for the sun to come out so we can enjoy the garden. Pimms was delicious.

Cozy place, for tranquil people. Good fish and great salad. Nice terrace in the back. Very convenient if you go to Portobello Market. A little bit expensive.

The food and place are great especially when the weather is that amazing but the service is terribly slow and mediocre. Even if they are lovely, they just don’t know what they are doing unfortunately. If you’re a patient person and don’t mind repeating yourself, you’ll have the best time.

Historic London pub, with ' class dividers' between rooms still in place (which were made to make you ' bow' when entering a higher class room) Lovely outdoor (covered) seating too with blankets and hot water bottles available! Good selection of drinks and food on offer.

Great atmosphere. The food was outstanding. Service was wonderful and fast. And they were super busy when we were there.

Yummy vegan roast with vegan dessert option. Great service and caters for all other diets too. Yum!

A bit expensive but a wonderful atmosphere and an excellent beer garden. The food was good and the selection of drinks decent. Their web based ordering system is well made with good customisation options (as an example all drinks can be ordered as halves, shandies, or with cordial added). The staff are friendly and provided both bar and table service during my visit.

Absolute favourite pub in London... nooks and crannies, very private, amazing garden... cannot wait to try the food. Looks amazing and patrons left no food. Huge portion though for me... I'll make sure to get there hungry.

Truly a lovely place for a pint or proper pub food. The fish and chips might be the best I’ve ever had - light and crispy and with a full fresh moist cod filet, hot, a perfect balance of flavours and textures, and elegant presentation. The chips were also perfectly crisp on the outside while hot and tender on the inside. The staff was lively, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere was quaint and comfy and the bar itself makes for a well-rounded pub experience. Highly recommend!

Beautiful inside and terrace, with generally snappy service hidden in a residential area. Food was standard pub grub fare though, pretty bland and overpriced with fairly unadventurous beer selection.

Loved this place lots of seating both inside and out. The garden is great with lots of heaters and ambient lighting. Perfect place to relax. The staff are so lovely you cant help but feel welcome. Would definitely recommend. Food looks delicious though just a prosecco pit stop for us this time 😏

I was just here the other day and the service was absolutely amazing, my server was Andrea and she is just the nicest person ever. I was having a hard time deciding on the menu and she explained everything perfectly and she got me in the mood for the scotch eggs and the cod with beans and chorizo and it didn't disappoint. Highly recommend the place and if you have the chance ask for Andrea to be your server!!

Such a beautiful pub, the garden is the perfect place to have a drink with friends, super quick to get drinks from the outside bar too! Scott (on the bar) was really lovely for our whole visit! I didn’t eat but the food coming out looked good, will definitely be returning!

🚇 Notting Hill Gate 🍺 £5.85 Pravha ❤️ A charming old world West London pub. . The Windsor Castle is located in a peaceful street in upmarket Kensington. Agatha Christie lived just around the corner, I’m not sure if she ever popped in for sherry after scribing a novel but I would love to think she did. The nearest tube is Notting Hill Gate which is a five minute amble away. . This pub was built in 1830 and is Grade II listed. The building wouldn’t look out of place in a rural village and is unlike any other pub facade in London. . The interior of this pub has a Dickensian feel and is full of old world charm. There are beautiful Georgian wall panels throughout and be careful to watch your head on the partitions between bars. There are loads of comfy nooks and crannies to plot up in around the four different areas around the bar. At the back of the pub is a large covered beer garden for whatever the weather. . The beer choice is good, there were the usual suspects, a few craft options and cask for the cultured imbiber. My beer was ok, it had a bit of a twang but I’m not one to complain and necked it soon enough. Dining here is quite the intimate affair, the menu is pub classics, good old Fish & Chips costs £17. . The clientele was a mix of tourists checking out ye olde London pub and well to do locals. The atmosphere here was convivial and relaxed. The staff were very efficient, they were ran off their feet running food to tables inside and out to the garden. . The @windsorcastlew8 is full of old world charm and an intimate pub experience. I would definitely recommend a visit here and bring your other half, they will love it. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 26/11/22

Best Sunday Roast in Nottinghill, make sure you have a reservation. The place is very pretty with an amazing garden as well.

The roast beef was cooked to perfection and served in a right portion, with good accompaniments and nicely presented. My Bloody Mary was made to perfection (not too spicy, not too bland, as requested) and desserts (two British classics) were delicious. You have improved your cuisine. Service was prompt and attentive. I will come back soon.

Stopped by here by chance, wasn’t overwhelmed. The beer was pretty good, food was pretty good, service was pretty good. I did love the outdoor seating vibes they had. Both pates we ordered were very similar only difference was the protein chosen. Great place to stop for just a drink.

Food was okay. Drinks were good. Service was alright. Not a bad stop, but not a great stop. The building is nice and well decorated. I really enjoyed the outdoor seating experience. Would go back for a drink!

Delightful updated pub which manages to combine a traditional, partitioned pub interior with a very spacious and pleasant outdoor dining area AND a decent selection of real ales. Card only payments.

📍Windsor Castle 🌍 Kensington / Notting Hill 🏛 Not much to see from the outside other than glowing windows, but thus is actually a great pub. Inside is a series of small rooms with low ceilings and lighting to match. They're split up in some cases by dividing panels with doors just the right size for a child. 🍺 Reasonable choice, three four ales whdn they're all working. ℹ️ The pub closed for a refurb a while back and I'm pleased to see it has been a very gentle one. 🙋‍♂️ My view: Great pub after a wonder through Notting Hill and Portobello Road. Find a snug and settle in for some food, beer and people watching.
