Really nice pub with a nice garden, great tasting food, friendly staff and a nice range of beers to pick from. There's love music on a weekly basis and a nice space to rent for special occasions

Paid £15 for a live music show on the 21/December. A jazz/bluesy band. The musicians were ok, nothing against. The sound of the venue was just owful, should have been free. We end up leaving half way. Ok £15 might not sound like a lot but still can get you in some pretty nice venues in London.

I was at the George IV Pub on Friday for the first time, and I must say it's definitely one of the best bars I've been to a long time, great atmosphere, excellent food, and the Live music was very good too! I highly recommend this place.

Great comedy club at the back Headliners. Fantastic night out with great acts and really casual atmosphere. Reserved seating and two bars to get drinks from. Also lovely area outside for intervals!

Went to comedy club which I thoroughly enjoyed - good mix of comedians for all tastes and the auduence loved them all. Walked through the pub proper which was buzzing full of life - aircon and I think a band was playing. It looked like everyone was having a great time. Have been there before and had a meal which was great. All in all, a good experience

George the IV is a great pub that has changed a lot over the years my first visit was over 17 years ago, Garden is better now than ever and is a suntrap in good weather. Great range of beers especially the local London Pride. I always make a point of heading here when im back in Chiswick. Always good to watch the sport in and in a great location.

Nice pub atmosphere with very kind staff! I'd just improve the veggie burger, didn't taste much, but the other dishes were much better presented.

Went to listen to Thursday night jazz. Only £15 for live music. Bargain. Good gig with a full house. Friendly pub, great bar service and two types of gluten free beer. What’s not to like?

Great pub fitting any purpose and request. Looking for great night out? Or just relaxing couple of hours after work? Want to listen some live music or watch a football game? You name it! Absolutely loved the atmosphere and decor, will definitely be back, especially during the summer as their beer garden is definitely a place to be. Highly recommended

Saw the band (great!) at the Boston room on 18th Jan. Had a bit of a tense moment following a misunderstanding of the seating arrangements but management went to great lengths to explain the situation and to look after us kindly afterwards. Nice venue. Food was a bit average (not worth knocking off a star though) but bar staff and beers were very good and, for those of us that need it, there’s a covered smoking/vaping area.

Great pub with fun events in the function room. However the "nachos" were honestly the worst, most embarrassingly pathetic nachos I've ever had. Didn't even have any cheese on, barely any salsa or sour cream. Basically £13 for a pack of Doritos. I went with an American and she was especially offended 👎 Sort it out and I'll change to 5*

Lovely pub with good beer selection, great lively atmosphere and friendly staff. Badly let down by the food unfortunately, the burger (pictured) was akin to something bought from a van for a few quid, not a whopping £18. Go for the drinks.

Really great venue to go with friends for drinks. Not expensive. Great live music on a Saturday. Amazing garden!

I have to start by stating I had to delicate my last review as that was 5 star. Not sure what has gone wrong recently Used to be such a good place to go and eat now not the venue of choice in Chiswick so many better places to eat and drink. Food quality has continued to go down hill from last chef left in 2023. Just nowhere near as good and so much more expensive. Drinks quality similar recently with the draught selection nowhere as good as it should be. Take today I decided I would give another try as it’s now March may have got better so checked online the menu and decided would have Chilly Nachos. Not the best idea as when I got in had first pint not the best and thought would order food with the next so went to bar and asked for the nacho sharer to be honest this was first mistake as maybe should have looked at the menu on the bar as there has been a change but no one updated online. The price has gone up online it’s £12:50 for chilly machos. On the menu at the bar it’s £13 but this is just plane nachos. No chilly if you want that it’s an extra £3. If I had seen that would have gone somewhere I think would be worth paying for. If you see attached picture the nacho was just enough for one and definitely not for sharing. The only positive from today was nice to see some of the good staff are still there. Nice place to go for a quick one but don’t stay long better places in Chiswick for food and drink.

Probably wouldn't book for a group. We ordered food in advance, but still had to wait 50 mins for it to arrive and didn't have enough chairs when we got there. Drinks taking about 10-15 minutes on an evening that wasn't too busy. Wasn't any apology or evidence of any level of customer service management (although the staff were polite), which is a bit disappointing when you consider how expensive it is.

Excellent pub loved the atmosphere, really enjoyed the fish and chips I do recommend it!!! The octopus was delicious and too salty but very good, the chicken wings were fantastic, and the avocado on toast was delicious but the Chile was too spicy. Would come back again , thanks to our waiter Ben S he made us feel very welcomed and never hesitated to check back on us.

Love this Pub and always visit when I am in Chiswick. Staff are friendly and polite. Good selection of beers and non alcoholic beers. Which is good for me as I am offten driving home after a busy day.

Good, lively atmosphere with frequent events such as live music and comedy shows to keep the place interesting. Standard London prices. Busy but not overcrowded and the people are generally nice. Haven’t seen any problem customers after going with colleagues after work about 20-30 times in the past five years.

Can't say I've had the food, but a great vibe with a good selection of beers. There's always loads of events, and great staff on the bar.

Perfect English pub. Great selection of beers, ales and spirits. Didn’t try the wine. The finger food selection was also very good. I look forward to going again!

Popped in for food while visiting our son. Unfortunately it wasn't the best and it took well over an hour to arrive although we had been warned there would be a wait of about half hour. The table wasn't clean and we had to ask if someone could do wipe it which only happened when we managed to grab someone who came to wipe another table and even then it wasn't cleaned properly. The food eventually arrived the pie was ok but the batter on the fish was very soggy and someone had sprinkled pepper over the top of it for some reason which should have been customer choice. The nachos were just about edible.

Was here for a comedy evening. A great venue for it out the back. The rest of the pub is really nice, staff friendly and good choice of beers. Lots of nice pubs in Chiswick and this is no exception, highly recommend.

Amazing staff, they went the extra mile when I didn't like the food that I have ordered, offering an alternative at no extra cost! Very much appreciated, no grumpy faces, very polite and understanding. Overall cosy pub with great sofas and Christmas decorations, good music too, maybe not very loud as I would like but no complaints. Thank you for the Amazing service, you made a difference! See you soon!

The decor of The George IV was really nice and the staff were friendly. The layout was a little odd for music, but they did the best they could with it. The only negative against it would be the mismatch between the professionalism of the bars design and the casual appearance of the staff, on entry it seemed more like the kind of place that would be uniforms, but as I say, they did their jobs well.

What a great place! Fantastic service, large variety of drinks and food. They have a covered garden for smokers, planty of space inside, great atmosphere. And the highlights - live showcases!! Some of them are free - of the most talented young guys, with great acoustic settings. Recommended!

I booked a room here to have a few drinks and some food with friends and family following my mum's funeral. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. They really looked after us and the food was great. Highly recommend this place for anything from a few drinks, spot of lunch, or a private event.

Service good but food not so. Very overpriced for what it is. Also they tried to get a double service charge so make sure you get a receipt before you pay as card payment prompts for service but that has already been taken, they will not tell you that!

Absolutely fantastic pub, Friday night 10th September the band was excellent really rocks wonderful place to let your hair down, mixture of ages which you never find these days from 20's to 80's danced and danced. You have to go a long way to find a band, people and good pint of pride and food. Brilliant garden. Definitely going back for more.

I find noise levels in pubs much of the time unbearable. This one is no exception. We had to sit outside to have a reasonable conversation. Food is good, but not cheap. And no service in the outside area.

I went on a Saturday night, so it was bustling. Reservations are advisable but not necessary if you're after a table. Fuller's ales and traditional beers, wines, and spirits/cocktails are served from the bar. Prices are fine for London. Even for the number of people, I thought the pub was noisier than most. A large and leafy garden is available for the sunny months

Great bar staff, warm and welcoming atmosphere, the DJ was amazing Great all round music to suit all ages. I had an amazing time and would recommend this place to Friends, family and colleagues. I will be very happy to return

A spacious and lively pub with descent toilet facilities and a good atmosphere. We enjoyed two bottles of prosecco together and did not at all feel pressured to order food, despite coming in at midday. Would happily go again. Good family atmosphere.

So dog and family friendly! Attentive staff. I can highly recommend the buttermilk chicken burger. The petting zoo on Easter Sunday was a genius idea.

The most delicious fried calamari I've ever had I think. Thank you guys. Next time I need to try other items. The place felt great and clean.

Brilliant night, loved the music, group of us went and had a great time. It's loud and packed Friday night, everyone dancing and mingling so great atmosphere. There's tables at the back if you want to be a little quieter and have a chat.

Great venue for a show .. but as a fan of London Pride, I'm not overly impressed with how they keep the beer.. have had to ask staff to change my pint on at least two occasions and they charge quite a lot more than local rivals, who pour great Pride pints for less coin...

An institution of a pub on Chiswick High Road, does a variety of good food - not just full meals but lighter lunches also. There's a good range of beer and other drinks. I've been coming to the GIV since at least the late 1980s when I ran a performance venue upstairs, but in recent years it's all about the food and the ambience and it's a nice place to go.

Relaxed Fuller's pub with outdoor area in the back and an area for entertainment, larger than we expected. Burger and a pint deal on Wednesday was great. A few tables in front will catch some sun in the afternoon.

Great atmosphere and a good selection of beers and ales on tap. The building itself gives a lovely comfortable vibe and also has a nice outdoor seating area. The staff are very friendly. Highly recommend a visit.
