I came here without any expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Sunday at lunchtime the pub was packed but the service didn’t take long. Their scotch eggs were pretty good, although the fish and chips were really outstanding. Friendly atmosphere and ok prices for the area.

Definitely will need to book in advance as they are usually packed. Portions are massive and the roast was definitely worth the price. Food was greasy for me but it is a roast after all. Definitely fit for meat lovers but they also accommodate for vegetarians and have other dishes on the main menu

My go to place in London for a Sunday roast! Service today was exceptional, heaps of roast options on the menu and local beers on tap. We sat out in the booth and enjoyed the front bar. The scotch egg was fantastic the the roast simply perfect 👌🏻

The best fish and chips I’ve had in a London pub, and probably the only one I managed to finish even though it was a big portion as it was delicious! The oil wasn’t smelly (sometimes you get that in pubs) and I didn’t feel gross after eating, just felt very full. My friend said the burger was very very good too. On top of that, the staff was very polite and it felt really chill, just sit down and have good meal and beer, nothing fancy (although the prices not so much, but I was mentally prepared for it because, well, it’s Hampstead, but also £6 for a pint is just London’s sad reality now isn’t it). Thanks all!

Warm atmosphere Great service Only if they had real ice cream instead of the socialist vegan ice cream… Love the place, will certainly come back, but the ice cream… Oh the mulled wine is fantastic. 🚽 🚨clean facilities. Appreciate the change table is put in the disable bathroom, just so dad can be helpful as well.

First time having Sunday roast in Hampstead and first time for my friends from abroad to have Sunday roast, scotch egg and sausage roll EVER. Great food, friendly staff and lovely location in a small bustling alley near cafes and ice cream shops, tucked away from the main high street. Do note that they have two entrances - one side for drinking and one side for more spacious restaurant seating. We were able to book the night before for a 12 noon slot and were given really spacious seating. It gets more crowded towards 1pm, but has a very comfortable and vintage vibe. We were worried about the food being oily from other reviews but it wasn't at all. Portions of the roast were very filling. We got the roast beef and pork - it was all around wonderful. Before the roast, we ordered scotch eggs, sausage roll and fries whilst waitng for our friend. Those were delicious too. According to one of my friends, these were the best fries she ever had. To quote my friends from abroad - "Feels like a typical English pub experience. Wish we could have visited more often." Will definitely be back again!

Food was amazing! Weren’t checked on at all after we had our food and we were in the bar part rather than restaurant which was the probable reason.

Bought my Mum here again to this great Pub but this time for her Birthday. We both had the fish and chips again which was excellent. The waitress was lovely too. Highly recommended!

Last minute Sunday lunch for two ladies and a dog . Didn’t want to sit outside so used the public bar. Shared a chicken roast and apple crumble, both excellent. Service from Max was exemplary, even the dog enjoyed it !

I had the lamb pie here recently and it was gorgeous. Loads more lamb than I thought I'd get. I know it's standard practice now but the table service was really good as well. Get the lamb pie.

If you are looking for an english Sunday roast look no further than The Flask. Great atmosphere, amazing service and an even better ‘Roast Beef’ meal with the family. @The Flask, we can not thank you enough for making a group of Canadians even happier after experiencing a true “Sunday Roast” Keep it up and I would recommend this place for anyone 👍✅

Sam and I did a pub crawl in Hampstead and this was the first pub. I had a Five Points Pale Ale from The Five Points Brewing Co out of Hackney London. This is one of two pubs we normally visit when in Hampstead. The other being the Holly Bush. This is a nice, clean pub with very good snacks. We split a pork and apple sausage roll. Very good indeed.

Charming old pub with good fish and chips. Wife’s vegetarian dish was nice. Beer menu is lacking (as a Young’s pub).

Table booking was nicely accommodated. The wine was good quality. Nice atmosphere. Too bad the experience was spoilt by the head waiter/ server arguing with my friend - pushing her to pay for her drink when she had already done so at the bar. Next time you come to a table asking for payment - do make sure to first check with your bar staff who has paid for their drink already. Not OK!!!!

Really nice, atmospheric dog-friendly pub (particularly useful for dog-walking Health walkers) with good food. The only suggestion for improvement would be more veggie options. And the service is good too.

Pint is on point here. The barman tried to draw a shamrock when he heard I was Irish. Full marks for effort. Such a lovely old building as well. Great for after a walk on the heath.

Had a blast at the pub! The roast beef was seriously fantastic—tender and bursting with flavor. Huge props to Megan, our server, for being awesome. Super friendly and made the whole experience extra enjoyable!

Always a favorite when in London. In my top 5 pubs ever, just delightful, the staff very attentive and beer always good on tap. Tried the house red yesterday, a malbec , recommended by both staff we spoke to, and it was extremely good.

Had a lovely meal here last night, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was great and the beer even better! Andrew was polite and attentive. My friends wanted to have some wine but weren’t sure what type they’d be a fan of, thank you Andrew for your recommendation ! Will be coming back.

Fantastic pub. Went here after a walk in the heath. Loved the Sunday roast and the vibe. The team looked after us really well and the food was one of the best I have had for a while. The location is perfect and short walk from the tube station. Can’t wait to return.

Staff are always good here, had the roast for about the 5th time. It is definitely good but it's the most expensive out of the Hampstead pub roasts as far as I'm aware and it isn't the best but as I said, it's nice and look at that generous portion of beef (little bit tough but only as expected from rump).

A nice traditional looking venue and pleasant staff, but purely on the food I would not recommend. Boiled potatoes and watery gravy for £21. I've had a few roasts in my time and I would have been ashamed to serve those potatoes, dense as anything, pale due to barely any roasting and a gravy so watery adding it to the Yorkshire pudding just made it wet batter as opposed to dry but added no real flavour. I also had to ask for more gravy as after the breast and wing my plate already looked dry. The half chicken was small, dry in the breast, and the root vegetables amounted to a charred slice of parsnip, a slice of carrot and a bed of beetroot, with cabbage to pad it out. But I did finish them, unlike the Yorkshire and potatoes. My partner had a potato salad, which while fresh the only real flavour came from the vinegar in the pickles. Good for a drink, bad for food.

Beautiful and clean pub with lots of ambiance. My husband had the burger and they came with the absolute best crispy chips. I had a salad with roast beetroot and it was amazing. They do table service which was nice for a change! We brought our baby and they have an accessible toilet with change table, and they have a few high chairs available!

Always good to be here. Busy with a vibe. For a drink with the dog or food. Good options for both vegetarians and meat eaters and salad lovers! Ample parking at nights (well if you’re the designated driver) . Brought a Canadian tourist here, he loved the fish and chips.

Came to the Flask for a drink with my family. We loved the atmosphere and the selection they offered. The bartender James was very cheerful and helped me pick out a local gin for my gin and tonic. We'll be back soon!

Sadly not the best dining experience. Primrose hill our local area but happened to be in Hampstead. £18.90 for sea bass which was only one small fillet with chips and some sand fire .. Engineer and queens in primrose better quality and better value .. however atmosphere nice for drinks ..

Brilliant service from start to finish - bit cold on arrival so one of the staff put on the radiator next to us. Tommy, our waiter, was very friendly and on top of everything. The food was delicious also. Total contrast to some other pubs in the area such as the Freemasons.

This is a wonderful pub with great service, friendly staff, that are attentive. One thing that needs to be improved on is more vegan options and also plant based milks as they currently do not have that option. Overall really satisfactory and worth the visit.

Treated ourselves to a bit of midweek dinner in the pub after popping to a friend’s art exhibition. Fell upon this cracking little boozer in Hampstead, loved the atmosphere and the look and feel of the place. Decent selection of beers and the food menu had a good variety of options to choose from. We are trying to eat a little less meat in the week so plumped for some veggie options and we weren’t disappointed at all.. 🤤 (I mean look at the depth of the pie, any bigger and I’d have needed climbing gear to get to the top 🧗🏼‍♂️) Our fave things: The portions… you will not leave this place hungry that’s for sure!! 🐽 📍🚇 Just a couple of minutes walk from Hampstead Tube Station

Been a few times and the last visit was disappointing. All tables said reserved from 4pm with no one sat at any one of them, when I asked if there were any others the bar man didn't even look up to reply. On the blackboards they could've written 6pm, 7pm etc so other people could've sat there at 4pm a quick drink. They got the bill wrong at the bar and were not very polite. Won't rush back when previously we've enjoyed it here
