A very important pub in London where you can enjoy a good pint of beer as well as a good typical English meal. You can sit inside or outside in the open air or on the sun when it's possible. You find it next to the Chorus hotel and opposite Hyde Park. On Friday and Saturdays there's live music and it's whole happiness.

The Swan is a super Fuller's pub on the Bayswater Road, close to Lancaster gate tube station. Plenty of wood and leather giving the pub a welcoming, lived in feel. A great selection of beer, both cask and keg on offer. Plenty of food too if you are hungry. There is courtyard seating at the front and a 'garden' room upstairs. Loads of room to lounge, drink and eat. A great pub.

Historic pub with lots of atmosphere and character. Pop in for a pint of London’s Pride or a delicious meal. Friendly service, reasonable prices. Patio seating and several rooms indoors. Right on Bayswater Road, across the road from Kensington Gsrdens, very close to the Italian Gardens.

🚇 Lancaster Gate 🍺 £5.55 Amstel ❤️ The Swan Hyde Park, a busy historic pub ready to quench the the thirst of many a Hyde Park visitor. . The Swan was the busiest pub I had visited on my crawl across the North end of Hyde Park, this is probably due to its location and that it also sits on the ever busy Bayswater Road. There has been a pub on this site since 1721 and it is said that this was the last place criminals had their last drink on the way to be hung at the Tyburn Tree just down the road at now Marble Arch. The box seat to get when you visit here is the patio space out the front as this space was the busiest and had a buzzy atmosphere. I was with my sister and my brother in law on this crawl and they remarked that this pub was very much geared up to cater for the many visitors to the area. Inside you can see that a lot of thought has gone in to the presentation of this pub with the various murals, wood panelling and the many pictures across the walls. Overall, this pub felt like a nice environment to spend some your time in. There is a elegant dining room upstairs which leads to a balcony overlooking Hyde Park, this was hired out on the day of visiting. The service was swift enough and we didn’t have to wait long to be served and £5.55 for a pint was average for the area. . The Swan Hyde Park is a decent boozer with some nice features which is set in a great location. . 📊 Information correct on visiting 13/11/21

A fine pub with a good, though somewhat limited, selection of food. We enjoyed their London Pride steak and ale pie, which was very tasty, but it could have done with more mash. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of old world charm.

Recently taken over by a great couple. The food is really good and the drinks are kept well. They keep it clean inside and have tidied it up outside. Prices remain reasonable. Well worth a visit.

Great location, nice menu. The lamb pie is great. Very busy so get there early. We got there at 6 on a Monday and it was filling right up. It's hard to get a second drink, etc because they're so busy.

Fine pub and eatery, beside Hyde Park. Air conditioned inside, tree shaded seating area to the front facing the park. Good choice of drinks and food on offer. Perfect for some refreshment after a walk around Hyde Park. Very friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere.

We came here at the recommendation of our tour guide. A classic English Pub with great fish and chips and drinks. It did not disappoint. We sat outside on the covered patio, which had a lively atmosphere. I was surprised that two fish and chips and two pints were over 40£, but the ambience was worth the price.

The fish and chips served at this establishment are truly excellent. The portion size is generous, and the accompanying potatoes are incredibly delicious. It's important to note that there is no table service; instead, you need to place your order inside and wait for it to be brought to you. The selection of beers available is satisfying, and the staff members are friendly and helpful. For the best experience, I highly recommend opting for a seat upstairs, where you can enjoy a lovely view of the park. As for the prices, they are within the normal range for London.

A place with and outdoor space, a view to Hyde’s park and excellent service. The waitresses were friendly and the food was quick and good. Also the tea, with flavor and special sugar.

My husband and I ate here during our vacation. We each had 2 drinks, split a charcuterie board, and had a main entree each. Food was delicious and felt like proper British food. The drinks were pretty basic but overall, we had a good time.

An authentic pub near Hyde Park with delicious pub food classics. It‘s our 4th year spending an extended weekend in London and coming back to the Swan feels a little bit like coming home. Staff is always friendly and makes an effort that it‘s a place where one can feel at ease. Be sure to book your table ahead if you‘re with a group, especially on weekends. I highly recommend the Black pudding scotch egg, if you‘re really hungry give their pies a try. When looking for traditional dishes you can’t do wrong with Fish and Chips or the burger. A garden and a patio on the 1st floor offer enough space to enjoy your stay on warmer days. Definitley will stop by again when being around next time.

Also the food came fairly Soon after. The Cheeseburger tasted good and was Well done. Overall We enyoed Our stay at the Pup and would recommend it.

Casual, relaxed open air dining in a restaurant first licensed in 1721, but kept up to date on amenities. Great place to enjoy a leisurely dinner after touring the city. The patio and balcony seating under the trees are especially nice. Authentic British cuisine which all was delicious.

BEST YORKSHIRE PUDDING EVER!! The lads there were wonderful and their service was amazing. When we went to grab a pint of a certain ale and there wasn't enough to fill the whole glass, it was on the house! I definitely recommend going there on a Sunday for their roasts. 👌🏻

  • 4/5 Michelle D. 3 years ago on Google
Staff were friendly and drinks are priced for the area. Atmos was warm and cosy, and the food was nice but quite expensive for pub grub. There wasn't a lot of social distancing as all of the tables were in service. But the restrooms were kept in a very good condition, which is rare for pubs. The bill also included a service charge which I was surprised by but I understand due to external circumstances happening at the moment.

It’s a nice pub, in front of Hyde Park, with tables outside and an amazing terrace with great view of the park (which was closed due to social distancing policies). Selection of beers is good but the only problem was the staff. One of the staff member was not friendly but maybe not all of them is like this one. I didn’t had food so I’m not write about it. I’d come back to this pub in a sunny warm day sitting outside on the terrace facing the park having a nice cold beer.

As far as pubs go, you can't get much better than this. Great location overlooking Hyde Park and its sufficiently screened from the main road with lovely shrubs and bushes that it's not too noisy at all. I'd give five stars but I didn't try the food so I can't quite justify that high a rating! Prices are a little steep but that's to be expected in the area

It's been about 2 years since our trip to London for this Canadian. Stayed in a hotel just a short walk around the corner from the pub. I still yearn constantly for a nice plate of The Swan Fish and Chips. During our 2 week stay, we couldn't get ourselves to eat anywhere else after our first taste on evening #1. Ate that meal 12 out of 14 times. Brilliant atmosphere and very fine suds on tap. Lovely chaps behind the bar. Absolutely cannot wait to go back and do it all again.

After a long walk through the beautiful Hyde park, my friends and I found this cute little place. It is really nicely decorated, but we sat outside in the garden because it was beautiful day. The service was very hard tried and friendly. The food there was pretty good too. A nice packed lunch. Recommendable!

We stopped of for some lunch and a beer, it just happened to be Tuesday which is curry and a pint for (I think)£6 day, everyone else went for the curry and loved it too, I had the steak and chips, lovely steak and the best chips I've ever had in a pub. I wish we had pub's like this around our way. It would be worth moving there just for the selection of beers and excellent food on top We WILL be going back

One star is generous! This is for the signage that was very clear that they were operating a one way system, a door to enter and another to exit (well, to us anyway) Its obviously a locals pub as we waited to be served by the one and only bar maid that was on duty and got ignored so that she could serve the guys that had clearly been there most of the day. However it was clear that ‘they’ couldnt get to grips with the one way system in place! We had booked a table by telephone as the reviews we had read said the food was popular and highly rated, she even took my name and phone number. We were then told that they weren't doing food and that the kitchen was closed, I explained we had called to reserve a table only 2 days ago to which she then went and spoke to a manager. He declined to speak to us himself but offered to open kitchen but was told it would be half an hour! We declined the offer and left! No apology nothing. The place looks nothing like the photos, a total shambles, wont ever return!!

This place seemed to be undergoing a bit of turmoil during my last visit. It's normally very busy, but tables were missing in the bar. Best if you can get a seat outside here though, overlooking Hyde Park. Just expect a lot of people ordering/eating meals. Its location means it's a hotspot for tourists, understandably...

Nice atmosphere with a wide variety of drinks. Live music wasn't great - the man "performing" was a drunk with a keyboard that could barely sing in tune. What kind of pub doesn't serve crisps!?

My friend took me here for our first pub stop. The atmosphere was nice and kind of busy for a weekday. We shared a fish and chips entree. It came out too fast ! Like minutes. So, I wondered if it was just sitting under a heating lamp. It wasn't the best fish and chips, but we were hungry. Beer was great as usual.

Out for a walk in Kensington Garden and Hyde Park and came across The Swan. Was an Inn back many generations but dated a pub as far back as 1721! Lost of seating indoor or outdoor. Several seating nooks for a cozy atmosphere. We came for breakfast. The hot chocolate was rich in flavor. The Full English did not disappoint. Organic porrage was a table favorite. The breakfast bap was a sasuage bacon egg sandwich. 100% recommended.

You will find this lovely pub directly next to Hyde park / Lancaster Gate Station. There are a lot of outside seating possibilities available and also inside there is enough space. We only ordered drinks and were surprised by the “cheap” prices compared to other pubs. Cider & Lager tasted good :) We did not order any food but it looked delicious. We met friends on a Sunday at around 1 and we did not need a reservation to find a place outside.
