Cool outdoor space . Was there for a birthday but they don’t allow you to sing happy birthday outdoors…. their “license” doesn’t allow it?? Bouncer was on a power trip enforcing this. It’s was also 8/9pm on a Saturday night. Day light robber with their pint prices

The place is beautiful and the staff is nor terrible, but the guy that runs the place is quite peculiar. Piece of advice: If you're on duty and you're running the place, perhaps don't get smashed. This sort of thing would never have happened in a professional music venue in London.

Always great fun and great atmosphere. The security guys at the door are great too. Nice space and good gigs/music.

Realy enjoyed thursday Blues jam night. It's free, and people are friendly. The staff are helpful, kind, and approachable. You can hang inside right next to the stage or chill in the outside beer garden.

What a great place!!!!! We visited for a birthday celebration. We had an area booked in the garden. Even though it was quite a chilling evening we were not really cold because there were enough heaters. They have lots of space available for booking (inside and outside). They let you order food from outside. You just tell the delivery to meet you at th door.

Lots of old furniture inside, could be considered quirky but given the dirty condition of lots of the sofas, it was just kinda gross. Cocktails are cheap but bad quality. Live music in the evening but quite loud and not good.

Booked a space for 15, months in advance to celebrate my birthday Pros: - We arrived 25 mins late and the team were kind to hold our space when I informed them I was running late - Large quirky outdoor area - Bring your own food - Good prices and tasty cocktails Cons: - The space for 15 was actually two benches that could fit 6 people. I voiced my concerns to the manager as other tables who had booked for similar numbers had been given large dedicated areas. His response was to keep referring to the terms & conditions and they can’t guarantee seating for all on busy days like this. The confirmation email states “your reserved area will include a combination of seating and standing space. Don’t worry there will be plenty of space for you and your guests” 6 seats for 15 people on a busy night, where do you expect people to stand? We noticed a group was leaving and no other booking signs were propped up so we moved to a much larger table. The management could have easily done this for us to begin with but seemed like they didn’t care given how “busy” they were anyway - My partner had brought a cake along and asked if they could store it. The immediate response was yes but you can’t sing happy birthday in the garden due to noise complaints. First time I’ve heard that but I’m guessing they have a valid reason for this. Staff came twice asking whose birthday it was and strictly informing the whole group to not sing happy birthday (we hadn’t even brought out the cake yet). When my friend was queuing to get in and said he’s joining our party, he was reminded again not to sing happy birthday. Fair to say we were put off by cutting the cake there altogether and moved to the next venue who were very pleasant about it

Great venue, fun atmosphere with live music however I went in hoping for some food as someone who is gluten intolerant. I was told at the bar (despite it being labelled on the menu GF) I was told I wasn’t able to eat and turned away. Also, my friends were treated extremely poorly by management staff, who were very rude and aggressive towards a woman. I can’t recommend this place less despite the atmosphere.

Love this hidden gem of Battersea. Specially on Thursdays night's, when they have the blues jamming. Service is great, and the beer garden is amazing and fun. Great decor, nice ambience.

I love this place. The band playing was very funky and cool. The only bad thing about this visit was the Bloody Mary that I ordered. This is my favourite drink and I don't know what they did, but it's the worst I have ever had. It's almost like they filled half the glass with Worcester sauce and then added a touch of vodka and tomato juice. sadly not spicy at all. Apart from that service was good, music was great and as always awesome surroundings.

Went midweek in the run up to Christmas and have to say was disappointed. Only two beers on tap and barely anything in the fridges. Barman was however friendly and rather apologetic to the situation. Pub itself (inside) felt tacky rather than quirky like the pictures suggest. Outdoor/garden may have been better for that, but inside just felt run down.

I enjoyed the visit so much! The interiors and vibes are so nice, have never seen anything similar in London yet. The garden and general atmosphere are fantastic. Stuff members were really kind. Although, my favourite part are the 3 kittens and their mom. ❤️

Went to The Magic Garden to watch a performance for an Afro-Peruvian music band yesterday night with family and friends, and we saw someone delivering pizzas from elsewhere to people inside so assumed it would be fine for us to buy food and eat it while we watched the show. We bought a pizza and then my sister asked if she could have a knife so we could cut it and the short guy (with the man-bun and gauges if i remember correctly) said something along the lines of "You bring in food from somewhere else and i have to bring you a knife? I'm not your slave" He was also very rude to my friend's mum for absolutely no reason. My sister and my friend's mum both have noticeably Latin American accents and are just as polite as me and my friend who don't have accents and he was fine with me and my friend so.. if he's not xenophobic then he might want to fix his behaviour to reflect that.

Boyfriend and I came here for a Friday night date. We were looking for live jazzy music and we were not disappointed. In fact the whole night went above and beyond our expectations (we have been wanting to come for years and finally made it down). If you are looking for great cocktails and a great atmosphere with incredible live music - get yourself down. Mr London college of fashion aka security man, made the night for us. I did not catch his name sadly. We were newbies and he welcomed us, told us the drill and made us feel at home. The coolest smoking area/ lounge. I would elaborate but it was a nice surprise so you’ll have to go and see. Until next time Magic Garden xx

It’s always a good nice with amazing environment, kind and fun staff really top it off! My favourite part is the huge covered garden where smoking is allowed, perfect for those chilly evenings or rainy days

Came here on a Saturday around 17:30 for a friend’s birthday drinks… was really looking forward to having some food here after ready all those reviews about how good their food was, but to our disappointment we were told on arrival that there was no chef in the kitchen that day, and they did not serve any food whatsoever, not even chips. Out of 3 ales on draft, 2 were not available. The staff were friendly and apologetic. They have a gorgeous beer garden at the back which was partially covered; however, it was hard to breath there as it was full of smokers. Left that place stinking of smoke & hungry. They also charge £7 to get in after 19:00 (no charge before that).

A truly spectacular little space with a marvelous garden space. Great for gigs or just hanging out. Highly recommended. I saw my friends The Egg there. One of the best nights and crowd I have ever had or seen

Staff is super nice with the exception of one racist lady in her 50s. She came to our table a few times to complain and even after we left (because of her) she came and told we could not chat in front of their place (we were in the sidewalk!!). Seriously thinking about bringing a lawsuit against this place

Honestly one of the best chilled out pubs in London, and judging from the live music possibly better than the O2 in terms of value for money on live entertainment! Service is excellent and the setting superb, however if you don't wish to try it yourself I won't be disappointed as it will leave more room for me!

What a wonderful place. We were visiting from Canada and this place was just down the street from our Airbnb.Went in and saw a band called Don Kipper. Balkan psychedelic disco band. Wow they were great!!!. Met lots of very nice people. Great vibe in there. We went back and played the Tuesday open mic. Didn't have our guitars but everyone was very friendly and loaned us their guitars. Great fun!

Had pre fireworks drinks at this quirky little pub near Queenstown Road station. The decor is totally bonkers but I like that. They were setting up stage for live music so put your dancing shoes on. Decent selection of drinks at okay prices. Friendly staff.

Dig the playlist. Staff are friendly but they let me know it would be last call an hour and a half before last call…and again a half an hour later and a half an hour after that. Just seemed a bit unnecessary and excessive. Perhaps this is just the way it’s done here. No food. Seems they could make a little more $ by offering pre-packaged snacks (crisps, pretzels…etc.)

Great outdoor space. But we booked for 20 people in advance, and there was only space for 16 of us packed tightly around three small tables. My friend asked inside about why this was the case and the manager was rude and aggressive towards her. Thankfully, the other staff members sourced some dining room chairs. Also claim to serve gluten free food but declined anything is gluten free when ordering. Overall a massive let down as I heard good things.

Starting with the good stuff, this place is lovely inside, the interiors have a warm feeling with very interesting and fun designs in each room. I was looking forwards to coming here for a dinner with my partner for her birthday and booked ahead. With confirmation messages from the magic garden prior, I was very excited. However, upon arrival there were only two staff members, live music was indoors no where near the seating areas and we felt ignored when wanting to order food, after waiting a long time with no instruction or help from staff we decided it was best to leave. I can't imagine what the wait for the food would have been. Overall a disappointing experience which is a shame as the place could be absolutely amazing.

One of the best pubs I've been due to their unique decoration. The outside area truly is something else. And to top it up they have live music.

We had a party of 6 inside and 2 other friends at the door that were denied entrance because they "didn't have a booking". We didn't have a booking either and we were at a table without a reserved sign (the middle area between the bar and the garden) with other empty tables also without a reserved sign. The bartender gave me a speech about the maximum amount allowed which I normally understand but it was 19:30 and the place was half empty. I told him that we had a great time so far and that we're happy to stay longer , but we need our 2 other friends to be with us, otherwise we have to leave.. Obviously.. From a business point of view it would have been wise to agree with our terms and let the 2 friends enter, but the bartender's reply was "see you later then". Extremely rude for absolutely no reason. It was an important reunion, but the venue ruined it. We regrouped in another venue so we can all be welcomed. I guess we won't "see you later" ever again.
