Used to go to this pub over 10 years ago when it was usually very quiet most evenings. On returning recently on a Thursday evening it was absolutely packed! Good choice of beer.

Food was exquisite! Waiting staff were amazing. Visit ruined by some selfish non-mask wearing misogynistic men who knew the bar staff. Control your visitors!

I could not be better treated at my sister's wedding. Carlos, Carmen, Michael and Anestis (manager) were absolutely fantastic. We felt like home and the food was incredibly good ( thanks to the chef). We are so gretaful. Rooms upstairs are clean and nicely decorated with all the facilities you can need. You are a great team!

I’d never noticed this pub before, close to Farringdon Station and Hatton Garden, tucked away slightly on Saffron Hill. As the sign says, The One Tun was established on this site in 1759, and has always traded under the same name. The present day pub was rebuilt in 1875, with a single room bar having very attractive, traditional decor. Upstairs has boutique bedrooms. Didn’t eat here but the Thai menu looked very good. This may be my new favourite stop for a quick pint on the way home from work.

Went to this lovely pub with friends and we had a really good time. Staff is very friendly and always smiling. Cocktails were amazing! Not a massive fan of Thai food but this dishes made me change my mind about Thai food :)

Out in London so decided to book a room. Great location 2 minutes from Farringdon station. The staff are lovely, room small but had everything we needed. We had dinner on the second night and the food was great.

Beautiful rooms and a great pub downstairs. The staff were great-both friendly and helpful. Definitely get the spicy prawns. Historic location frequented by Charles Dickens a block from a tube station. Stairs and no lift

Been considering pubs with rooms for a while and enjoyed the first try here:) Literally across the street from Farringdon, with easy connection to Heathrow and other locations via tube and trains. The adequate amenities are great, better than some Marriott hotels (the days are gone when all decent hotels offer vanity kits and toothbrushes and slippers). Also love the soya “shots”. Not vegetarian, but really like the unique idea. The room is clean and nicely decorated, spacious with high ceilings (although there’s some water remaining in the kettle.) The area is bustling in the evening and quiet at night and in the morning. Mostly feels safe upstairs with a separate entrance. (Just wish the bathroom window can be locked for extra security.)

One of the worst hotels I've stayed in. We had so many issues with our room! We have called twice and left messages along with emailing them regarding our stay (as we were told to do by a manager upon checkout). We would like a full refund but no one will contact us back. We have videos and pictures of the room and will be taking this matter further if they don't get back to us. I truly advise you to avoid this hotel

I am doing this review for the pub not the rooms above. The One Tun has a lot of history attached to it, they explain it well on the outside of the pub. It is really nice inside and the staff are friendly too, it is located near Farringdon Station.

Stayed one night here and wish we could have stayed longer and made more use of the beautiful clean and stunning room. We had room 8 which is 3 flights of stairs up, so wouldn’t be great with luggage. Room really well equipped, with coffee pod machine, kettle, fridge, ironing board, hairdryer, Netflix, dressing gown, slippers and more. Free water, chocolate, crisps, nuts. The most comfiest of nights sleep on a firm mattress and quality bedding. Beautiful shower. Water pressure a little low. Drinks served until 2300 and 10% discount offered on food and drink if staying. Unfortunately we were there too late for dinner but menu looked good. Check out easy- just pop the key back in the letterbox of pub next door to private door to rooms. Will definitely stay here again if in London. Near underground station and restaurants and coffee shops.

Stayed for four nights in the hotel over the holiday weekend. The pub was nice, even though it was closed for most of our trip. Our room was more than we expected. While somewhat small, there was plenty of room for the two of us. We were lucky enough to get the room with a terrace, which we used almost every night. The staff was exceptionally nice and accommodating! And the location was close enough to the train that getting to major locations in London was quite easy.

It's a decent pub for some drinks after work which seems to be the main clientele. Staff are friendly and they even did table service for us which was a nice touch. It's close to Farringdon tube so a good starting point for a night out if meeting friends

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The location is perfect, not too busy with easy access to the underground (Farringdon St.) The room was clean and spacious with complimentary Netflix, which was a great feature. The bed was comfortable as well. The only real complaint is that the shower was poorly laid out and actually quite cramped. Otherwise, it is a great place to stay while in London.

What a gem! Loved the vibe. Food top notch, we had *properly* crispy druck pancakes, a Pad Thai and some spring rolls. Staff were excellent. Would highly recommend.

I booked the new back room for a retirement party for my colleague on 25 May. It was a lovely evening and the impeccable, attentive service from Nicola and George was very much appreciated! It is a lovely, fresh, snug space with a lush, thick curtain you can pull over for added privacy. With beautiful wooden high tables and comfortable chairs it is a great place for a gathering of 15 odd. I would highly recommend the sharing platters, totally delicious along with the Thai fries. Lovely selection of wines (the French rose is very nice) and beers and of course top shelf spirits. If you want to smoke you can hang outside with your drink, take your time and chat to the regulars. It is a very dog friendly place which is a perk for us animal lovers and check out the portraits on the walls! I had to book quite last minute and George was ever so helpful. There was no charge for the room or minimum spend (very unusual on busy nights!) and yet we were treated like royalty :-) Tucked away on Saffron Hill it is a real gem of a place, very close to Farringdon tube and overground stations. The actual pub itself is very roomy and fresh too. I am looking forward to going back soon. Thank you George and Nicola!! Zoe B

This place is a must stay if you want to be centrally located (London), close to train station (600ft), and all the local sites. The rooms are beautiful & the Pub has a great chef and menu. Just a note. The stairs to get to rooms above the pub are steep. Love this place!!!

This was a decent visit before doing something else in the area. The main driver was sampling the Thai food. The chicken Rendang curry which came with rice and bread was very good and the pad Thai not too bad either (so I’m told). It was a bit strange to be charged the 12.5% service charge having ordered food at the bar, so the bill came to more than expected. Essentially I ordered two drinks at the bar with a couple of mains and the charge was added to it. To be fair the drink prices weren’t too bad for the area. A pint of Star is the best value in terms of cost and value if that happens to be your poison. The staff weren’t overly friendly either, but assisted with retrieving a lost item down a drain during the visit so that claws back a pint or two. The food and booze were nice and good value. Perhaps just more friendliness and transparency about extra costs would go a long way. Still scrapes a 4/5 by the width of a Rizla paper.

Glad we chose One Tun. Close to the tube and multiple restaurants. Relaxing neighborhood compared to the big hotel area. Tina took great care of us checking in, eating and drinking.

Very nice food and lovely staff. Odd to find a British looking pub, specialising in Thai food, but will definitely visit again.

I have just had lunch at this pub after an absence of about 6 years and there used to be a fantastic Thai restaurant attached to this. I came in hoping to re-live old experiences. The place was deserted and it was a Friday lunch time, that should have been a clue. OMG, what an appalling disappointment. The menu was pan Asian now and I ordered 'the Korean mixed fried rice'. They were basically trying to do a Korean bibimpap. ( A very simple dish to put together) What was offered was ridiculous meal put together by someone who clearly does not know how to cook. It was a bowl of 'boiled rice' - jasmine - with some julienned carrot and 'cucumber' placed on top, with some pre cooked prawns from the supermarket and a bit of Kimchi and a fried egg on top practically inedible , I left most of it and told them I was really disappointed and why , they didn't disagree and were polite but did not offer any kind of refund. The total cost of my meal was just over £15 with a small draft diet coke. (terrible value for money for an almost inedible meal) avoid like the plague for the food.

Small pub with limited seating, best to book ahead. Friendly and welcoming staff. Lots of great food options including vegan ones. Fresh and tasty ingredients.

Nice pub. Had a booked meal with colleagues and it was very nice, though the table was in the main pub area with multiple tables conjoined. Food was amazing and the drinks fine. A nice evening overall, though a quieter eating area would have been nice-to-have

By far the worst pad Thai I have ever had. It was wet, sloppy and sweet with a bitter after taste. There was no smokiness from the wok, no savoury notes or pungency from the standard paid Thai flavourings (shrimp paste, tamarind etc). Was also mixed with Chinese cabbage and non traditional ingredients and they couldn’t even be bothered to put in the basic ingredients such as egg, bean sprouts and garlic chives.

Our first time here, and definitely won't be our last. We had two rooms, dinner and drinks. The room was great, very well appointed and really comfy bed. Good atmosphere and food in the pub. All the staff were great from the moment we checked in.

Travelled for work. Nice place in good location. Staff were friendly and room was very clean with all the regular amenities - plus a coffee pod machine. Wasn't particularly noisy even though it's above the pub so can't fault it and will stay again

Very helpful and sympathetic wait staff, particularly as I was feeling rather battered following a serious dental treatment.

Amazing place, friendly staff, excellent service with great food ! We couldn't have aske for more! Despite the pandemic, Anestis (the manager) and his staff made our big day extra special!!! We can't thank you enough. The rooms were an additional bonus. They were clean, spacious and well equipped. We will definitely be back.
