The Crown and Shuttle on Principal Place, close to the Great Eastern Road is a great place for a beer. Situated in a building that looks like it has or is about to fall down. It's been opened up to create a brilliant series of drinking areas both inside and out. Lovely staff and good service all help. Plenty of well and lesser known beers and ciders from the keg as well as a couple of cask ales for those that do. Also some onsite brewing courtesy of Duvel it appears. A fine place to go.

Deceptively huge pub in Shoreditch! Fairly small exterior but opens up into two large bars with a large attractive beer garden. Exposed brick and junkyard decor adds to the hipster feel. Huge range of ales and craft beers - different ones sold in each bar. Great for big groups and for summer drinking outside. Food looked good too.

Been here a few times to take advantage of the lovely beer garden. Was not disappointed in my first taste of their food, chips were a particular highlight!

Sunny afternoon in the beer garden is great. They do a fantastic meal and drink deal at only £12.50. The portion size is good and the draft beer selection is very nice.

Closed now in Tier 4, but a good lunchtime visit a couple of weeks ago before the rules were changed. Everything done according to the rules at the time - social distancing and face covering rules observed by customers and staff alike. Beer was good and the 'substantial' meals were tasty! Fortunately, it was quite mild and dry so, with the heaters in the outdoor spaces, it was very comfortable for mid-December!

A wonderful pint of Guinness, which may I add is rare in Shoreditch. The fresh taste surrounded by wonderful staff, and a friendly atmosphere. The speed at which the staff serve is incredible, the management is on point!! And so are the wonderful staff that work there. A beautiful beer garden, which can be used no matter the weather. Heaters stationed perfectly to keep you warm during those brisk nights. One of the staff members named Valentine always greeted me and welcomed me with a smile, and without me having to say anything knew Guinness is what I needed! I can’t fault anything, the staff are outstanding, the management is wonderful, and the drinks are perfect which is more than anyone could ask for.

Decent little pub with large outdoor seating area to the back. Not a huge selection of drafts, but some tasty options none the less. Staff were great.

Not very busy during my visit but friendly staff and a nice bacon cheese burger. Nice seat out the back in the sun.

This is a great pub in Shoreditch with a pretty massive beer garden. Sadly doesn't get the late Summer sun but still nice. We got here at 4.30 and managed to get a long table but most were booked. By 6.30 on a Tuesday it was super busy. Service for drinks was quick at the bar. Definitely recommend for drinks with friends outside.

Nice large beer garden with toilets inside and out, never been in the evening but has a nice relaxed vibe during the day. Didn't eat so can't comment on that. Jubel beer on tap which is my favourite! Prices standard for central London.

Had our work Xmas get together in the upstairs bar at C&S. The organisation was so easy! Simon was great in assisting for any queries and also left an amp in the room for the keen karaoke goers! Abbi worked on the bar all evening and was great, helping with queries and also taking pictures 🙂 It’s a great little venue, there were about 40 of us and the space worked well. I think it’ll be a venue we return to now for team nights as it was enjoyed by all.

What a brilliant venue for our teams Christmas party. The upstairs room is Christmassy and created a buzzing atmosphere. Considering the amount of us, the food was fab, very good vegan choices which i really appreciated. And the welcome mulled wine very lovely touch. Big shout out to Liam, nothing too much trouble, thank you for your incredible service, friendly manner and patience with us. You rock. Look forward to coming back. Happy Christmas 🎄

Was in the other day for food and drink. I had the cheese burger and the mrs had the nachos to share. Great portions. Stayed after for a couple of pints, the lass behind the bar was sound think her name was mollie. Will definitely be back for more of easy lo dons finest

Really good pub for both winter and summer. Massive outdoor area. Half of which is covered. Great selection of beers as well. Although lost a star as their guiness was shocking

Unbelievable moments at this great pub during the World Cup 2022! The staff has been amazing with the french supporter, security, bartenders and a special big thank you to Valentin for the whole organisation of the French Fan Zone ! We will definitely come back again. Thank you!

Went here for work drinks and food. The grub was extremely tasty and the outdoor area is perfect for social events! It is all covered so even works when it rains. Highly recommend.

A good Shoreditch pub with a large heated bear garden that has shelter. Drinks are fairly dear, however gets busy with a good atmosphere. Has a good selection of drinks and pub food.

Had our Christmas friends party in the private room/ bar upstairs on 16.12.23- Liam and Molly were great on the bar and Amelia was so helpful in looking after us with the food - they made our day/ eve with the service so a big thanks for that. The sausage roll promised to be wrapped in bacon and yet none appeared It was also dry, and overpowered by thyme. Shame. Excellent atmosphere otherwise, but the sausage roll really soured the experience.

I came here with some friends for drinks and had a fantastic time. A very lovely popular venue on a Friday night! Dispute crowds staff were fast and provided excellent service. Will definitely be returning here again when I'm in the area.

Love the scene!love the people, the terraza, even on a Thursday is always full of live and good vibes. Good beer and good food!! Don't miss it, especially in summer. Ps:they have warm lamps in the terraza for summer. Amazing

This place is a hidden gem in the bustle of London. Absolutely packed on a Thursday night so it seems like everyone else knows it too. Drinks were cheap and good, massive outdoor area with seating and standing space.

The place has a good vibe so we went and sat at a table. After some time we just visited a bar to get few drinks and came back to our table. We stood up for about 5 mins around the table and the staff took our chairs saying we aren't using it. We tried to explain them that we just stood up for some time and can we get our chairs back please? But for some reason the whole staff was extremely unprofessional and shouting at us explaining that as we were not sitting for few minutes they were taken away. We requested them the next time you take the chairs could you please ask us? On that sentence they used more abusive words and asked us to keep our mouths shut! All I wanted was a good service and some amazing time with my friends! And did not expect the staff to be this rude! I won't recommend this place! :) If you want to have a peaceful weekend please don't visit here

Excellent beer even though not much choice of rum. Good venue with great choice of sitting area inside and outside. Old style pub i.e. where you can talk & just enjoy company.

Its a great place to have drinks with your friends or Collegues. The interior is good it has both indoor and outdoor sitting preffered is the outdoor sitting. The Hanging lights is amazing i liked the textured of the decorations. Its a crowded place so booking is preferred

Good place to catch breath and hide from the rain. Good selection of beers. Clean toilets. Friendly and helpful bartender is definitely compensate for temporary lack of coffee milk.

After a few visits in recent months, I can only recommend this pub. I spent incredible moments during this World Cup. The staff was amazing and allowed us to support our team in a safe atmosphere. What a great pub! Not much to look at from the outside but it goes back a long way and lots of seating in the garden. Good selection of beers and spirits, decent food, too. Popular in the evenings and well worth a visit.

This pub which doesn't look amazing from the outside is very nice. It has a fantastic outdoor area and a really laid back feel. We didn't eat here but the food looked lovely. Well worth a visit.

Nice pub with a reasonably large beer garden with cover so you can still Sit outside and have a nice drink from the selections of beers ipa's and wines. The staff friendly and knowledgeable about the beverages and food the offer. Great place to take you friends and work colleagues. The entrance is Deceptively small when you look at it from the outside but once inside you realise how large the pub is and with the addition of the beer garden it's very reasonably sized.

We hired the covered mezzanine area outside for an afternoon work party and it was absolutely perfect. Great setting paired with great attentive service. Thanks so much we all had a blast

Lost a personal belonging around 6:30. Manager said to me CCTV can only be looked at in 2 hours because he's too busy serving drinks. Maybe you need to get stabbed before it's worth taking 5 mins out here.

Great pub. Lovely decor and goes miles back. Drinks are a bit pricey but that's Shoreditch...

First meet up with friends for a drink in public. Bouncers friendly, bar staff friendly, nice atmosphere, food smelt amazing (but we didn't eat) toilets clean, very nice place and no complaints.

Pleasantly surprised by the space in the pub. We’ve been there with friends to watch the Word Cup and support our French team in a nice and safe environment. Thanks to all the Crown & Shuttle team, I’ll definitely recommend the place and will come back again !
