The theater is def on the old side and seating is very cramped. Beyond that it was fun.

PCPA is a staple in my family's life. It has been so in three generations. Our experiences have extended to visiting Eastern relatives and have led to many shared memories and family bonding. In pre-covid days , for example, about ten of us were there the night that George Walker inadvertently flung his sword across the stage during his performance in Pirates of the Penzance. His wonderful comedic improvisation that followed is still remembered in our conversations. It is not uncommon to hear someone mention something like, "Do you remember when we saw 'Hello Dolly' that summer? It was so bright and vibrant!" "Wasn't that a great performance?" or " Mom, we are definitely going to see 'Emma' this year!" We love and appreciate you, PCPA! Thank you for still being there and never disappointing.

The productions are always top notch shows and the staff is always friendly and helpful. There honestly isn't a bad seat in the whole place. If you get the opportunity to see a show here, DON'T MISS IT!

We attended a play reading, the first reading I've attended. As with all PCPA productions I've attended it was outstanding! Both the Allen Hancock theatre and the open air Solvang theatre are great venues. If you haven't been to a PCPA play, definitely go!!

Donde Lope de Vega ? He wrote over a thousand plays in Spanish! PCPA is not so collegiate theater. Same old 'pro' actors for seems like 20 years while students move props and lights and are hidden in minor roles. And someone always begs for more of your money after you buy an expensive ticket. Surely these are not school plays. The artistic director is teaching Broadway is the most important stage in the USA but many see more of the real truth at the Met Opera shows at local movie theaters.

I have seen 2 shows this 2021-2022 Season and both were brilliant. As You Like It (Shakespeare) and Into the Woods (Musical by Sondheim). The resident actors are very talented and the scenery department does So much with their stage and space that it never ceases to amaze me.

Go see the PCPA theatre productions at the coast if at all possible! The company is back at it! Their productions are very well performed, great acting, singing(musicals) and sound/lights. It's also refreshing to see new talent always surfacing.

Fabulous theater company, doing top notch work on the Central Coast of California. We enjoyed their recent production of Peter Pan. From the great sets and technical details (the flying was very well done), to all the actors showing tremendous aptitude and talent, it really is a jewel in Santa Maria. Go check them out!

Our family went to see The Sound of Music and loved it!! The cast was amazing and I don’t think there is a bad seat in the house. The community is so fortunate to have this theater!

Beautiful presentation of Sound of Music with a dedication to my dad whom was a sponsor of the PCPA for many years. He passed away last year. Mom and my wife got 27 tickets and we filled the seats with family and friends. Great memories and a fine, comfortable theater
