I booked this supposedly five star resort for a "luxury" stay. The pros are that the property is beautiful with three restaurants a pool bar and an activity room for painting, etc. There's a great spa facility for those who want to relax. The cons are that this is far from a five star resort. The following are small points but on the whole dampen the whole experience. The reception staff in the first exchange appear to be haughty. The room was like a matchbox for the amount they take from you. There's a bathtub but it's barely big for one person and that is the shower area too which I felt was very unsafe. The food was at best average, by the second day we were bored. And the prices on the food menu were exorbitant. No one answers at the concierge and the response is very delayed. Coming to room service, they clean the room when we didn't ask or put any sign outside. And cleaning is very shoddy. We kept requesting for an ashtray for 3 days which they said would bring but would forget I guess. There were frequent power cuts, the wifi was horrible so they gave a dongle a day later.

Good old property at south Goa. Rooms needs major makeover. Otherwise excellent service. Excellent location. Good food. Clean and calm beach great view. Swimming pool. Spa etc.

Very nice 5 star resort offering 24/7 Food, private beach and pool. Staff is really helpful at briefing the guest and as per department they have appointed different person. customer relation person calls you and check up with you regarding any issue during your stay and take the action within 15 minutes. Definitely recommended if you want to relax for 2-3 days

Checked into Caravela on 24th Dec.. on checking in, they mention that there is a mandatory Christmas Eve buffet that we have to sign up for, and that is 4k per person.. while I didn't appreciate this post facto arm twisting, I signed up thinking it will be a special Christmas buffet - "Let's get into Christmas spirit". Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing affair.. When we went for the buffet, there were hardly any options for Veg food.. nothing available for drinks that was included in the package.. even water you had to buy. Come on guys.. in 4k per person (20k for a family of 5), I can get the most elaborate buffet and drinks spread in the swankiest of 5 star hotels. this is just not done!! That too in the name of a Christmas buffet 😡

One of the finest properties . 1. They have their own private super cool beach . 2. Live music 3. Golf 4. Super cool swimming area 5. Super comfortable rooms 6. Kids and infants friendly 7. You actually don’t need to go out once you are in . Far from airport , but they provide good cab facility

The resort boasts a fantastic location with a serene and pristine beach. The rooms were comfortable, but the service, though satisfactory, occasionally fell short compared to similar properties in the area. This was particularly noticeable due to a wedding event during our stay, which seemed to divert attention away from other guests, leading to frequent neglect. Additionally, food buffet, bell services, and transportation left much to be desired, with subpar standards that contributed to a disappointing overall experience.

This place is more of corporate getaway than a family resort.although they may say it's a 5 star resort,we definitely did not get any of the 5star vibes or experience apart from the very expensive extras Bill at the end of the stay. You can get a lot of better hotels with 5star experience at much cheaper alternative resorts. The location of this particular resort is also another negative point as apart from a good private beach there's hardly anything else nearby.

Can be a 4 star rated hotel

When it comes to pristine beach properties, location plays a vital role. And, Caravela Beach Resort has scored massive points for that. And to add, their hospitality is excellent. If you are someone want to chill, relax and have a good time with your family or honeymoon, this resort is the place to be. Be it from room views, outdoor views, breakfast buffet and their 5 restaurants within the resort leaves no stone unturned when it comes to keeping their guests happy. Very beautiful property!

We zeroed on with this resort after lot of deliberation as we were travelling with a toddler for the first time and were not disappointed at all. From landscaping to facilities to management, everything is top notch. Special mention for the house cleaning and food services staff. They were prompt, warm and extremely helpful. Totally recommend this resort if you are travelling with an infant or toddler.

Great resort. Just one concern the location, although yes located right at the beach, the way to reach, especially during night doesn't feel very safe, doesn't have enough street lights. Not much options to explore around either. As far as the resort, it's excellent. Great service, good amenities and very well maintained. Veg Food not that great as per Indian taste. But overall it's a very pleasant experience

We were looking for a peaceful family beach holiday and Caravela beach resort turned out to be the perfect choice. The resort is huge, has lots of greenery, amazing food, good swimming pool, clean rooms and a Serene private beach. The beach was one of the cleanest I have seen in Goa. The rooms are very well designed and comfortable and Mr. Namdev ensured that our room is impeccably cleaned and decked up on daily basis. The resort has lots of activities to engage kids as well as adults. Most enjoyable was strolling at the beach early in the morning. All in all it was a wonderful vacation and we were taken very good care by Caravela.

Loved it , yes totally loved it. I have been to Caravela Beach resort in February of 2020 with my family. It is in South Goa. We are 4 in family and 2 of them is 70 plus age and somehow it is a little challenging to get around places with elder people, but not at Caravela beach resort. Staff here is very friendly and they took care of us and our every requirement on priority. We stayed in their Villa Rooms section with two rooms and living area. It was huge and beautiful. We have a huge garden in front of us and from there we can see directly at Verca beach and Sea. It was just mesmerizing view. For parents, hotel has provides E-kart or Baggi, to travel in resort - from room to beach and reception or restaurant. We also enjoyed at big swimming pool and beach side restaurants. In totality Caravela Beach resort is purely fun. You can visit beach anytime. Beach is clean and safe. Please see my pictures for above review. You will have peace here. Everyone should come here once...

They lack hospitality for such a "luxury property". After checking their website and confirming that the rooms were available, we traveled 25kms only to be sent away from the gate. All of this after collecting all the personal details. Receptionist lacked the courtesy to even apologize for the entire incident. Definitely do not recommend anyone this place which has zero hospitality.

Loved the overall experience in the resort. Perfect for couples and familes. I stayed for 3nights and everything was perfect. Only few things which can be improved - 1. Food ordered in room should be delivered in adequate time. 2. Room service should make sure that if guests have left the access card in the card holder then they should not lock the gates. Overall resort is beautiful with a private beach.

We booked for 3 nights believing that we are going to a 5 star property. On reaching place was fully packed. After we got the room which was far from reception. Moment we entered the room we were shocked to see the condition of the room it was dirty . There were spider webs on lamp and ac duct. Balcony was dirty with dead insects. Outside Balcony there was garbage. Ceiling and floor had scratches and looked like it was 50 years old. Furniture was in bad shape. Bed was wrongly made in a different direction. Overall shocking. Only good part was when we insisted they gave us full Refund. Sharing some pics also

I got married at the gorgeous resort and wouldn't have wanted it any other way. It has the most amazing beach in all of Goa and the service is excellent with lip-smacking good food. Everyone was satisfied during their stay.!

We had a wonderful stay at the Caravela. There was a slight issue with the room when we arrived but it was rectified quickly and efficiently. We initially booked the Deluxe room and the room they put us in was definitely not the deluxe from the photo. They moved us without hesitation to the room we should have had in the first place and we couldn’t fault it. The highlight for us was the service- the staff are all so friendly and will go out their way for you. Chef Paul was very kind to us and the food was delicious- fresh and very tasty. The location is superb- the beach was magical. I felt like I was in paradise.

Hotel was great and all the staff were excellent Bishnu Rajiv mayank and team were so helpful during my stay sunset bar was amazing place to stay.

One of the best hotel in Goa. Caravela Beach Resort I come for my office off side for 2 days. Rooms are so clean and nice. Excellent food and so supportive staff. View from the room is very beautiful and stunning view. Swimming pool was very big and nice. Private beach and a beautiful sun set view. Very big garden for other sports activities. Tennis courts and golf courses and many other sports activities also there. 360 every where greenery and never-ending property. Very nice place for spending time with your family and love one's. Highly recommend for family and kids. Overall experience in the hotel is excellent and superb 👌.

We had two night stay here, Monsoon's Goa was as expected. Location of resort is wonderful. Some of its Bar and restaurant were closed due to season which I fail to understand because resort was full of guests hence having no bar at beach was a dampener. Overall property is wonderful and staff is good. Young staff members were particularly enthusiastic. We liked the stay.

Reaching Caravela is a minor challenge on its own. Public transport is pretty much non-existant in Goa. Once there, the next challenge is to find your room. The resort staff is very helpful and guide you at various points. However, the place is larger than an average hotel and can get difficult to navigate on your first attempt. Once you've gotten the hang of the location, everything is awesome. You get the full Goa experience with authentic food and passing the day at the private beach. I enjoyed a pretty sunset and a quickly warming summer morning there. The pool rules require a swimming costume which can be bought at the hotel shop. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were buffet style for our group. There are other food options for guests. The rooms are neat and provide a good view from various points. I had the luxury of visiting three rooms allocated to my colleagues.

The resort is located right at beach side. The food is excellent. The rooms are good. For sea view, kindly ask for rooms on the first floor. Swimming pool is also nice. But it’s open only till 8 pm. I highly recommend Caravela Beach Resort, if you like to spend the time only for leisure. It’s a good property for family with kids.

Very well located properly, white fine sand beach. They have a nice beach side restaurant and separate bar. Not noisy at all. Staff is courteous and food preparation, quality is up to the mark. Very competitive value for money in middle of other well known 5star resorts in the same area. Just beware of marriage and other group celebrations which could be a distraction in peaceful experience.

One of the best family vacation experiences I have ever had, especially with a 2 yr old baby. They catered to our every single need with prompt and polite service, even late in the night. My wife was okay with the buffet... but me and my elder daughter loved it :) The location is awesome and very well managed. Kids enjoyed the beach thoroughly and also loved the activity room which made our lives as parents pretty relaxed. The room service was on-point and we loved the ambience of the whole hotel as well. I spent a lot of time in the swimming pool with my wife enjoying the drinks in the pool bar. All in all, money well spent, especially since we took the monsoon package.

This was our one of the most memorable luxurious stays in Goa. This 5 star luxurious property is there from last 30 Years! (Earlier It was owned by Ramada Group). Also this is one of the Biggest Beach resorts in Goa. We stayed in "Ocean View Room" and We had a spectacular Sea View from our Room. If You are booking an Ocean View Room, please ask them for the First Floor Room. The Swimming Pool is Huge and the Max Depth is 10 Feet!! We had a Great time at the Pool. Breakfast Spread was Awesome and it had a lot of Verity. The Property is right on the Fatrade / Varca Beach and the Water was clear and waves were not rough at all. You might find The Bathroom as little old School but it had everything needed with a Bathtub. If You are looking for a Luxurious Beach Stay then Caravela Should be on top of Your List.

5 on 5.. i promise that you will not find any better deal than this resort anywhere in Goa. Pro tip is that go for deluxe rooms that would cost around 9k but here are the things you would get. - Specious rooms - Large size washroom with a bath tub - Warm water swimming pool - green property Golf course White sand private beach Buffet breakfast Kids play area Ocean view/ sunset view. I have gone their 3 times and the experience is just amazing!! They would call and ask to see if you have any special occasion like birthday etc so that they can prepare.

Resort is beautiful. Food was average for a 5 star property. Staffs were good..kids play area is not so good. Play area should be more lively and colorful for kids to enjoy. The best part of the Resort is its beach .

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room was spacious, well-furnished, and impeccably clean. The ambiance was welcoming, creating a comfortable environment. However, I believe there is room for improvement in the room service. Timeliness and attentiveness could be enhanced to elevate the overall guest experience.

The resort has a private beach, very nice location. The property is huge and well maintained. The rooms are large and spacious. The food options are very limited and not the best specially non Indian cuisines. The beach side restaurants don't have much option of food or bites. There is no other shop or shacks near this as it is meant for a secluded experience.

This was our third visit to the resort, which has become our go-to spot whenever we visit Goa's southern coastline. Caravela is a wonderful location with stunning architecture and wonderfully kept gardens and lawns. It has access to a clean beach, which contributes to the whole experience of the resort. If you are a vegetarian, the hotel restaurant has a restricted menu; breakfast is well-stocked with a variety of selections, but it can become repetitive after a few days. Throughout our time, they gave us with delicious food for our children at no cost, which was a pleasant surprise. The standout feature of the resort is its courteous staff, who never fails to attend to your needs. Overall, it was a fantastic time, as it always is at the resort, and we look forward to revisiting it.

It was a pleasant and memorable stay at this Caravela Beach Resort ,Varca Goa . Hotel staff was courteous and well behaved. This is a Immaculate property situated right on the Beach . Buffet Food is quite tasty and lip smacking. Variety of delicacies were there in Breakfast,Lunch and Dinner. Garden view rooms are too good,having serenity view of Garden full of Trees and greenery and maximum views of Sea from the room balcony. Rooms are clean and tidy . Housekeeping staff is also very good. Mr. Anubhav ,at Hotel reception is a kind and gentle person and gives personal attention to each guest at the Hotel . All staff at reception is well behaved. Overall , Stay at this beach resort is memorable and quite upto the mark . Really recommend.

Very good place for family. Rooms are reasonably priced and spacious. Ala carte food for lunch and dinner was very good in quality and taste,much liked by kids too. The breakfast on the 1st day was good but the next 2 days was not very appreciable, the spread is vast though. Special mention to staff for their prompt and meticulous service. It’s a massive place! Quite loved the way this place looks, the vibe of it all. Very spacious. Just a lil disappointed with a food but apart from that the place is great. May be not so much for a 5 start hotel though. But all in all a good place. The service here was pretty good in terms of staff treating guests well, so hospitality was on point. The pool area here is really good and spacious. And the backyard which opens up to the sea is FANTASTIC. Almost like a mini golf course over there. Brilliant.

Good location of the property. Management staff is decent. A lot of guests are family groups who create a lot of noise which can disturb someone looking to relax, even on their private beach. The beach area with shacks and the bar can be improved. We were a bit disappointed. Te beach area was clean though. Food is really average. A huge room for improvement. Housekeeping is good. Spa was closed so cannot comment on that.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Caravela Beach Resort. The resort has everything in one place being from a neat and clean swimming pool , multiple restaurants and mesmerizing private beach. Everything was well maintained. Rooms are massive with great service. Hats off to the whole management. 👍🏻

It's a big property but very poorly maintained,old fashioned but not heritage.. the main lobby does not have central cooling.. and the restaurant and the lower level add up to heat and too much noise... room we're not clean... and had a very bad smell.. they charge like a five star but the property is not worth at all...

Excellent property. Very nice and clean. Huge green lawns to walk with private beach. The swimming pool is awesome with an Island Bar. We loved our stay there for the second time. The only issue that we faced was that the resort provides Very Poor internet connectivity.

A great location with not so great rooms. If you don't bother about time spent in the room then it's a heaven as the outside Beach , Mini Golf course, pool l, restaurent and breakfast is all very good. Rooms definitely need some rework and linen too. Our room was 151....

I visited Goa and selected Caravela for my stay in South Goa. Checkin process was so quick. Rooms were good and not congested with very spacious balcony and had a good view. The only thing which we didn't like was Food. There were very less option available in veg. And the items which were available were not so good. Swimming pool area was lovely and had bar inside pool. I was really mesmerized by the sheer size of property amd it offered everything. The beach was so clean with blue water and white sand and had shacks available to sit on the beaches as well. I loved my stay here for two days which cost me around 20K.

We had 7 days of stay at the resort. The best thing about the resort is nearby varca beach , The pool with a bar, & Golf course. Rooms were good. They have a pool facing and garden facing rooms. We were given garden facing deluxe room but we wanted a pool or ocean facing room apparently it wasn't available. By the time we realised it's better to have a garden facing room as it gives you more privacy and seclusion if you're looking for . Dinner and Lunch buffets are nice. Breakfasts are mostly repetitive. You will get bored eating same thing. Overall it was a nice experience. Would recommend it if you are going for a honeymoon or decent family vacation.

Very friendly staff, property is well maintained, breakfast variety is insane! Very good stay, visited in March 2022. This was our second visit. They also have paid and free activities for children to keep them busy and entertained! Definitely recommend!

Amazing. The entire resort property is huge and very well maintained. The garden and golf course offers some breathtaking views. Swimming pool is super cool. The private beach is great with options for watersports activities. Breakfast buffet spread has wide range of options. Very polite and cooperative staff.

Had my honeymoon stay here made it worthwhile...Nice cozy rooms with neat bathrooms, balcony with a view, vast property with beautiful lush green lawns ull fall in love with...play area, pretty pool and breakfast spread was great both continental and Indian food with good taste...they have another restaurant and bar by the beach... Private beach was simply the highlight with recliners and couple of shacks nearby with candle light dinner...pretty close to other beaches nearby as well...one of the best beach stays suitable for families and couples alike !! 👍

Visited Caravela 2 times (December 2020 and in March 2021). Property is beautiful and beach is perfect. Few rooms offer a lovely view of sea. Downside is quality of food. All said and done, its a good place for a short family vacation. Would be perfect if management works more on quality of food.

Overall best experience. Nice stay, got a good service with amazing food. Polite and helpful staff. Only problem is indoor games and swimming pool timing. They closed it very early. People usually roam around and come back to resort by evening. And if want to relax in swimming pool, they close it by 7/8 PM. Same thing with indoor games. If they can improve this nothing like it. Still would like to give 5 stars for food, rooms and services. As well well maintained property.

We stayed here for a week and overall experience was really amazing. It was little overpriced based on deal we got but overall stay was good. The room service staff is best among all the other stays we have been at. They are at your service with all heart all the time. One guy named *Vijay* and staff *Fatima* made a puppy with towel as he saw I was missing my furry friend. Also they have a private beach which is super clean and gives you awesome view to spend time with your loved ones.

Very Peaceful resort. Best for relaxing purpose and not too costly also. The view from the gazebo sitting at night is just priceless. We spent 6 days here in February for my first anniversary and it was a marvelous stay with superb tasty food and cordial staff throughout the hotel.

We had a great quick time away from crowd in a private resort. It is a place away of crowd, yet crowded. Even in off season all rooms are packed. They have amazing private beach and ample of open areas that may accommodate 3000+ people therefore definitely even when it’s all booked, you get your private space. There is long queues and wait for Breakfasts. Ambience- 5/5 Cleanliness-5/5 Food-4/5 Price - 4/5 P.N don’t reach before checkin time, you will have to wait till 2 pm 😕 and also need to check out at 11 am max 🧐

Location is great, almost a private beach with limited crowd, mostly people stayed in resort. Food was ok, for a 5 star property menu is quite limited, also room dining took some time. we took ocean view room and it turns out it requires special handling so we have to wait for around 2 hr for checkin, and we got last room in building, i would say partial sea view, please ask for first floor rooms if they listen.

We stayed here for a week for NY and beyond. The housekeeping staff was super, specially Ms Aggima who as very warm and helpful, she planed a surprise decoration for my bday in our room along with cake which was touching. Also suggested a couple of places to see which e enjoyed. The resort is stunning the beach is serene, private, u will love the shacks , the golf course , pool is gorgeous too. Overall a stunning property, must stay.

The most beautiful place, one of the best resorts I've been to, in India. Amazing vibe, humongous space, a great variety of facilities, fast service, amazing private beach, great food and bar. Wonderful sunset view from the resort, heavenly colours, great water sports and shack. Loved each and every day of my stay here, a perfect get-away from your daily repetitive scheduled life.

We were here at this resort for celebrating Christmas. We thoroughly enjoyed it here. Services were excellent. We enjoyed on the beech very much. Even the band they hv invited for Christmas Eve was good. Enjoyed music after a long time. Special mention of Ravi as he was really attentive to our needs at the cafe. Lush green property located on varca beach. Rooms are well maintained ,ventilated,clean and hygienic. Balcony for each room-suitable for yoga and meditation. Beach accessible from property and kids zone as well.

The stay was amazing. The resort was absolutely beautiful with lush vast green lawns, and the rooms were clean and pristine. The breakfast buffet was to die for. The staff was very courteous. The beach had a private entrance and was extremely clean. The sand was white and soft. The only thing I wish could be improved is the time taken for room service and the possibility of getting a late check out. I understand that its peak season, but when you stay at a 5 star you expect that you will be given a late check out by at least a couple of hours. Overall the stay and experience was amazing and one of the best I've had in Goa so far!

The property was just fantastic, the staff were warm & very very hospitable. The food was good and the green lush property was a treat to the eyes. The swimming pool in the cold winter was heated enough to be jumped into. The local artist songs were greatly enjoyed to be able to dance on the same.

Beautiful property with magnificent views. We came along with our kids. Kids enjoyed the beach.. gorgeous sunset and clean private beach area. The restaurant n bar along the beach had amazing staff.Neeraj and team did a fab job n made us feel super comfortable. The kids were in love with the staff as they treated them like family. They were very helpful with the menu selection n gave ample knowledge about the property n nearby areas. Rooms need some attention though not very comfortable beds. Besides that we enjoyed our stay at the property
