Customary details are collected by the local police as you hit the starting of ghat road. The drive up the town is beautiful. As we drove car did not stop our vehicle. Each curve is named after beautiful Tamil names. Enjoy the drive

Nothing much to do. The weather too isn't different except for the evenings when the temperature might drop somewhere between 27-30 degrees. It's good for people who don't want to do anything but sit and relax. There's a park, a lake with a boat house where you could get a boat ride, a place for a couple of adventure rides, a park with some exotic birds and a few temples if you want some entertainment.

I visited here on March and it's dry and arid with less water. Neatly maintained by ground staff. Boating was peddling one, with minimal water around. Weather was good, but as the day went on heat was at it's peak. Preference to visit this place after summer till February. Aquarium in nature park is not so well maintained, but fountain is good and activity takes place in the evening. Rate is 25/- for adults and 10/- for kids. Parks are good. Lots of adventure games available. Not much of a place to explore, but overall good weekend get over. Monkey menace to be taken care of, until you don't provoke them. Give fruits or veges and no snacks as they are already in the risk of eating much leftover with plastic. Restrooms are neatly maintained. Beware of jackfruit hawkers, mostly small to big varies from 60-200/- bargain won't be useful, but still can try your luck.

It's an amazing ride, specially the ride from Bangalore is good highway run. The ghats are fun to ride. Many stay options at Yelagiri. The trek to hilltop is a must try. Great view. It gets sunny in afternoon but the breeze is cool.

The bike ride to yelagiri from Chennai was good. A small hill but can get a satisfying bike ride if you are into it. We went in a off season but still the place attracted a reasonable crowd, boating was good here and the cost is reasonable. The hotels to stay are not very costly but food was not up to the mark. Its a family friendly tourists place.

Yelagiri, a nice picnic, trecking and vacation spot located in Tamil Nadu. It is near to bangalore and chennai both cities. Pros: Nice and peaceful place. Lot of picnics spots are available. Rope and tie knots are available. Good for couple to have some enjoyment. Few games for children and boating facility is there. You can find hotel and accommodation with 3 times food. Can also suitable for one day trip. Climate is very good, as it is hill. Cons. There were only few places to visit. No jungle and zoo parks. Teenagers find it OK.

There is nothing much to do here. The place is best suited for corporate team outings or family get togethers. There are plenty of resorts to choose from. If you just want to get out of the city and relax in some nowhere land you could come here. This would be perfect bike trip for amateur riders. The climate would be cool but you would still want an AC room.

The place disappointed me. It had been on my wishlist for a very long time, and what with all the stories of 13 hair-pin bends and multiple trekking trails, I was expecting a fabulous hill station. But turns out, the bends are broad and smooth - nothing to write home about. The view is decent, not breathtaking. And the weather. Oh, the weather. It was frigging hot in July. Definitely regretted not booking an AC Room. Good part - The Lake and the Nature Park was pretty and well maintained. Boating on the lake gave a sense of calm. And a "home made chocolate" shop next to the Nature Park sold us amazing almond chocolate. Will not visit again. But with the right expectations, can be a relaxing weekend gateway in the winter months.

Very nice place Hill station Near jolarpettai railway station This hill station is not as developed as other hill stations in tamilnadu like Ooty and Kodaikanal. However now its developing as tourist destination by promoting adventure sports such as paragliding and rock climbing, and parks are there.

Yelagiri forest hill is located in Yelagiri in Tamil Nadu. Vast stretches of paddy fields, other crops, horticultural fields, and woods dot the area. It is one of the most popular weekend getaway or ecological paradise for nature lovers. Visitors will get lost in the enticing beauty of Orchids farms of different hues, rose gardens, and other flowers. Trekking and hiking options that are available at this place allure the adventure enthusiasts. 2-3 hrs long trekking takes the visitors to the hilltop, from where the view of Yelagiri is breathtaking. The pristine beauty and salubrious air at the top soothe the sweat-soaked, tired trekkers.

If you want cool temperature during winters this is the place for you. There few parks that you can visit and there is a boating site. There are also quad bike race tracks which you can enjoy. It was a beautiful place, and it is being occupied by a lot of people. Soo many homes are being constructed. I feel like Yelagiri loosing its charm day by day.
