Cool Design museum to see the exhibits of finnish style glass and ceramics. Went here for 40 mins as part of the panorama tour with the helsinki card (61euro for 48 hr) Part of the urban tour which is nice. There is free coffee upstairs, which is drunk out of designer cups just saying. Lots to read and take in, couldve spent an hour. There is also a shop downstairs (tax free over 40 euro spend)

A great place with a range of products of iittlala and Fiskars. Nearly all products can be found at here. If you were a fan of iittlala or Fiskars, preparing spending at least 1 hour in here. If you were tired during your shopping, an auto-machine is here. You could make yourself a cup of tea or coffee surely. All staff are friendly and helpful. Here should be somewhere you can’t miss during your stay in Helsinki. Taking tram no6 from central railway station is the shortcut. Tax-free is applying to foreigners.

It was such a pleasure to visit. I don't know how often the exhibition area and design studio is open to the public, but it was a privilege to be able to visit. We had an incredibly knowledgeable guide and there was so much to learn about the history of Arabia and Iittala even though I know the brands fairly well. My favourite part of the tour was definitely the design studio itself and getting a peak at some of the artists own rooms. Magical and inspirational.

The Museum of Design is free of charge. The exhibition is rather small, I spent there about 20 min. There is some information about Arabia's and Iittala's ceramics and glass products. I am a little bit disappointed that there wasn't nearly any info about the technologies in use, nor anything about production lines. So don't expected to see a factory interiors.

The museum is free of charge, but is quite small too. Has some interesting background stories about some of the more famous Arabia artists. My favourite part was the extensive coffee cup and drinking glass timeline. We were also given a 15% discount voucher for the store at ground level.

A wonderful store to see Finland designed glassware. They have informative displays even if you are not buying anything. Helpful staff will even offer you a beverage as you stroll through store. Watch for last chance and joining club membership for deals!

The museum on the top floor deserves a visit as it depicts the 140 years of glass-blowing and ceramics history.

Cool place where information meets store. Big place. Prices are regular, so it is no outlet. There is a cafe next to the store with very basic items. The store has a little kitchen and today they served Glögi for visitors. Went there for an event, not sure if I would come specifically here otherwise.

Quite small one, but it was really interesting to visit. Also, free entrance was a surprise.

We came here for a bigger selection of Arabia pieces and to see a different part of Helsinki. Easily accessible with tram, and we ended up walking along the waterfront park after our shopping to check out the area. Yes, there are outlets, but nothing was on sale at all, so if you‘re coming for discounts, this is not the place. They did a great job of packing my purchases for carry-on and everything made it home in one piece. I like that they have some „how it‘s made“ displays a d in this location you can also purchase some vintage pieces.

Could be more representative exhibition for two brands of this scale. Worth a visit though.

It's a relatively small gallery. The curator was very friendly and patiently answered all our questions. We were offered free coffee. The entrance is the large glass structure on the side. The museum is located on the 8th floor, accessible by elevator. There's a store on the ground floor.

Great selection of Iittala and Arabia merchandise. Also some great sales there, some pieces are 50% of, some even more compared to prices in other stores

Hard to find infos about prices and entrance dates. You have to reserve a guided tour wait 2 days for confirmation. Shame Arabia and Iittala. Such an important place in Finnish history
And btw: on the webaite it says that it is open on Sunday 10-16. Right now it is Sunday 14.05P.M. First guided tour is 6 days later. Very sad day for us.

It became one of my favorite place in Helsinki! The museum on the 9th floor was very nice. Staffs in the shop was very kind too. A Japanese staff helped me out to mail my shopping items to Japan. She was extremely nice. Thanks to her once again. Highly recommend to visit !
