Restaurant

đź‘Ť $1450vt for a big lunch was good value. So I had a green chicken curry and cold drink (plus iced water) in an air conditioned room with no other dinners. Place overlooks Iririki Island and it would be lovely at night with the twinkly lights. Staff were so lovely and helpful. Not wheelchair friendly... Absolute perfection! I’m so disappointed that we found this hidden gem on our last night. Never have I ever had such a delicious meal. Everything with faultless and I truly wish this place, the owner and the team nothing but success. Visiting here was a highlight of my holiday. The Lobster dish alone was 100/100.

Like all restaurants in Vanuatu, the service is good but a bit slow and the people are very friendly. I visited with my wife and kids and while my fish wad beautiful, their vegetarian meals were not great. The blue cheese pasta was 3/5 and the Thai vegetable curry was lacking in any depth of flavour and tasted of cayenne pepper (2/5). Although the fresh baked bread was hot and delicious and the view over the water is amazing. This place is definately for seafood lovers only. Prices are standard for Port Vila. Which is to say over $220 Australian (Jan 2020) for family of 4, no entrees and 1 'cheap' bottle of wine.

Very, very good food! Very clean and cool. Excellent view (upper story) of Vila bay & huge fish swimming below. Had olive Ciabatta bread, lunch Salad with Chicken & baked Spinach & Feta in phylo dough.

We were so pleased to find Chill's, shame it was on our last night. Staff, decor, food and cocktails were great. Great views of the sunset over the harbour.Had the Chill mixed grill, the seafood skewer and kids burger, all were tasty and food came out quickly. A clean restaurant, with nice ambience. Definitely worth a visit.

Me and my family went to Chill Restaurant for lunch. Chill is located within the Central market area above seaview restaurant, they are open all day from 11am to 9pm Mondays to Fridays. Judging by the location I was not expecting such a marvellous and enticing restaurant. The interior had a white theme decorated with her plants, a pretty big bar and painting and photographs from before Vanuatu gained it's independence. The owner greeted us very warmly and we felt very comfortable and settled in nicely to the air-conditioned room. The menu consists of lunch special options, which came with a drink. There was also main course meals mainly for dinner service and a variety of drink options. For meals collectively we ordered three dishes. We got the pasta of the day, steak dish and a fried local fish dish. I enjoyed the pasta, it was similar to a chicken Alfredo but to my liking. The other two dishes were also decent in quality, the coleslaw on the side was tasting abit old however. We had a round of hit beverages which were ok abit diluted as it was made with an automatic machine which is still very cool to see however. Lastly we ended with dessert, the restaurants signature chocolate soufflé. We decided to try it out, they did warn us it was going to be 20 minutes of wait but we had time to spare. When it arrived I was abit disappointed as the soufflé collapsed when I scooped it. There was nothing in the soufflé which explains the extra sauce on the side. The pastry was also a tad bit undercook as I could still taste the tangy raw egg flavour. However overall the experience with the food was good. The thing that really impressed me however is the restaurant itself. Magnificent interior design and layout. The theme suites it's location. The view out into the bay and iririki island was just breathtaking, we could have stayed there till dusk. The music form the market area below was a tad bit irritating but that wasn't a big problem for us. Overall great experience at Chill Restaurant. Some adjustments to the food would make my experience alot better. I still recommend coming here for lunch as the lunch special offer is a pretty good deal. The view and atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing and would be a good pace to come a a relaxing afternoon.

Following a 2 and half year closure , Chill opened last week ( mid Dec 2023) What a breath of fresh air , in fact I would rate Chill as best venue we had the pleasure of experiencing. Our " greeting" was prompt & warm. Views from this upstairs venue are amazing , looking down the harbor & over Iririki Island . Decor & Wait Staff uniforms are so fresh , & professional. The Menu presentation is at another level. I had my first ever Lobsterlicious Pizza. To the whole Team of CHILL , I applaud & congratulate you . When next in town , you will be our " go to " With thanx Heather & Harry

Don’t miss out on this beautiful restaurant because it’s located above a fast food place. My partner and I ordered the seafood platter FOR ONE and it was soooooo much seafood for the both of us. This usually includes crab but they did not have any so they gave us extra lobster!!! This was about $70AUD so that’s like $35pp - how good! We also ordered a prawn pasta in case we did not have enough to go around but we were sooo stuffed to the brim by the end of it. The view is amazing and the staff were lovely. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to others.

I have to say. There are not much choice for my wife who’s a fussy eater in Port Vila. We had 3 dinners elsewhere with unpleasant experience. Nothing to do with the service. Just the food wasn’t what we expected. This Chill restaurant really opened our eyes and recovered our appetite. Good and 5 stars.

A gem of a restaurant in this part of the world. Fairly expensive but worth it. The coconut crab is a must!

Seriously over priced yet under serviced. The compulsory star goes solely to the view (which was lovely). Signature dishes of coconut crab, lobster & seafood platter were all unavailable after waiting all week to get in (it was closed for 6 days). Instead we ordered a few cold entrees and hot mains. All the food came out at the same time so by the time we got to the mains they were cold. The calamari batter was basically raw flour and the worst I’ve ever tasted. The fish was average, oysters average. However the beef and haloumi and prawn skewers were both delicious. Halfway through the meal, our waitress went on lunch break and refused to serve us, so we had to walk up to the counter to order dessert and coffee. Even getting a water refill was too much to ask. All of which would ordinarily be fine ( I mean it’s vanuatu right?) except that it was easily the most expensive restaurant in a two week trip where we restaurant-dined daily. Would recommend NOT going here unless management drastically changes its approach.

Nice vibes when we entered the restaurant. It was ashamed they didn't have lobster on the menu so we didn't get the seafood patter, but ordered the coconut crab. The portions are fairly big and we also got marinated prawn skewers with a side of chips. Waiters and waitresses are really kind and funny!
