You cook your meat on a hot stone. Fun experience and really fresh quality meat, very tasty. Cooked beef filet, shrimp, and tuna coated in Sesame. Sides were very good too. Great sunset view.

Something weird about going to a restaurant and cooking your own meat. But it was great to come here and get fed well. Road has more pot holes than it should for such an establishment but don’t let it put you off. Surroundings are rustic and the view is to die for. Meals are great and well worth the money. Lots of variety of seafood and steak and the steak was of decent quality. Stone cooking was a unique point and was fun too. Enjoyed the meal and the company I had. Stone radiated heat and I was constantly concerned I would somehow have my face smashed into it and end up with a cooked cheek! But it was all good and the food was great. Tangkyu tumas!

The Stonegrill is an institution in Port Vila and comes highly recommended, rightly so. We had lunch here and firstly were taken by the views over the water and islands. We were warmly welcomed and even though we hadn't booked, being lunchtime (ish), it was no problem. I do advise 100% booking for the evening, especially Friday and the weekend. As entree, we both had the Stonegrill Vanuatu beef carpaccio which is hands down the best beef carpaccio I have ever eaten. So thinly sliced you could read a book though it, sprinkled with freshly shaved Parmesan, fried capers and a few dashes of pesto. Absolutely divine. We shall remember it for many a long day. The mains had a lot to live up to but did not disappoint: my partner had the special of Stonegrill white tuna enrobed with sesame seeds, which arrives on the stone and you let it cook to your desired level of done-ness. Sides chosen were kumara mash and veg of the day. The tuna was so good that my partner is still talking about it. My main dish was the special of coconut prawns, so subtly flavoured but delicious with the house dip, skinny fries and fresh salad. I washed it down with a bottle of local cider, which was not sweet but paired beautifully with the prawns. We had no space for dessert, sadly.

Had a delicious dinner with a great view across the harbour and watched the sunset. The price was good and the quality was everything I wanted. Our waiter Basil was very attentive and did not leave us wanting.

I had not booked and the staff did everything to accomodate for me and had a table made for me quickly. I was looked after perfectly. A well run restaurant with very nice and kind staff. Five ⭐️

We ate at all the best places in Port Villa and our family voted the best place to eat at for our last night and this was it, unanimously! Amazing food, great service, quick to make amends for little misunderstandings, fantastic drinks, splendid views and the crepes are the best we've eaten anywhere on the planet. The french owner runs this place with passion, elegance and empathy. Sensational *****

Eating the food at Stone Grill is quite an experience. I got the scotch fillet and they bring it to you on a hot stone and you cook it to your preference. It was delicious. The beef is locally grown, grass-fed from Vanuatu. The host is lovely, the ambience is beautiful and the food was delicious. For the quality, very reasonably priced too.

High quality fresh food and excellent service. Lots of fun cooking your own Surf & Turf. We really enjoyed the “vegetable of the day” which was choco cooked in a buttery pesto. Shout out to the lovely Vivian for her warm service. The banana fritter on frozen stone was “da bomb”.

Nice place to hang out, get simple steak rather than going for surf and turf. Enjoyed the view and vibe. View is mazing and staff are great.

So good that I had to go back during my short stay!! Excellent steak (the beef eye was better than the veal!) and chocolate crepes (better than the choco mousse which was a bit dense and lumpy). Service was friendly and although they missed the prawns on the surf and turf it was quickly brought. Make sure to reserve (regardless of the day of week!) and go earlier than later (later in the evening they run out of certain sides and desserts!).

Great place on the hill with a beautiful view of the sea while you have your meal. You cook your steak to your liking on your hot stone, served with 2 sides and sauce of your choice. I had the sirloin which was delicious; and I had a wonderful view! They were very busy, but the service was still friendly and fast. Definitely worth a visit!

Delicious food with an excellent menu, your selection is served on an oven heated hot stone for you to cook to your preferred style. Staff are fantastic. We booked for a great view of the harbour. Entrees to dessert were great.

Definitely worth it! We didn't make a reservation and walked in and the staff were so accommodating and found us a table. A fun experience. We went at night and I think it'd be better during the day to take in the views. Best to make a reservation and ask for a table closer to the view.

Stonegrill is a beautiful restaurant and one you must visit while in Port Vila. It came recommended from local friends and it did not disappointment. The service was friendly yet professional, and the food was delicious. There were a few things that weren't available on the menu, but given the recent cyclones, this was understandable. We went for dinner, but its probably better to come during the day so you can take in the views.

Had a lovely experience here as a solo guest. The staff were welcoming, even though it was a busy night. I ordered the beef on stone grill. Good quality meat. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. I sincerely hope staff are well looked after. They lift stones to serve us a meal, they are really quite heavy. For this reason 3 stars.

Food was amazing! I had the Marinara Pasta and a Chocolate Mousse, it was all delicious and the view was stunning. The champagne and mushroom sauces are very tasty. They also serve some of their ice creams on a frozen stone! The food came relatively quick despite the restaurant being almost full. I would definitely recommend — especially at sunset time with a nice bottle of wine!

We went two nights in a row! Compared to other restaurants, this place is great for value. Food, service A+. Cooking your own steak is a fun experience, FYI it gets warm 🥵😄

Stonegrill is nothing short of magnificent! Visited twice while here for a week! The food is amazing, the staff are wonderful, attentive and genuinely friendly. Shout out to Viviene and the Barman for the little extra special treat!

Outstanding. Best meal we had in vanuatu and up there overall. We got the stone meal with the eye fillet and the seafood. Really enjoyed the food and the whole evening. Just go there.

Absolutely amazing!!! The food, the service, the view!!!! We had the cheese burgers and chicken burgers for lunch and they were so yummy!! We also had dessert and that was also amazing.. The staff is super friendly and lovely.. Highly recommend this place for lunch!!
