Million Dollar Point is definitely a must when traveling to Santo for a dive holiday. The site is mind boggling for the incredible waste. Most of the dumped gear is still in remarkable condition after 75+ years under water. This site is an easy dive, we were fortunate to have beautiful calm weather and reasonable viz. It's a great place to combine with diving the Coolidge, we dived it for 2 days, but would've been happy to stay for a week. Highly recommended.

I dived and snorkelled this place and found the snorkelling just as enjoyable. There is quite a lot to see so take your time to explore the wreckage. There are also plenty of fish that have made a home here so there is quite a bit of life around to see. Sitting on the beach is pleasant but probably not a great area to swim as the debris starts close to shore.

You know its really just spectacular. Great source of income. You can find all sorts of idiots who are willing to by old rusty WWII gun shells and tires for large sums of money. Made millions diving here. 10/10 would be back. I'm actually getting a sea crane to help me pull entire ships out of the ocean.

(Translated by Google) Interesting place for diving. Wreckage and wrecks on the seabed. Wonderful variety of fish frolicking in the wrecks. But you also have to be careful, there are rusty metal parts everywhere where you can hurt yourself. The place is not suitable for swimming.

(Translated by Google) Actually, the Americans have left a moderate environmental disaster here and still attracts American tourists to this place. You can see the vast remnants of military items that have simply been dumped in the sea after the people refused to take over.

Super place to snorkel and spy on the beautiful cobalt blue star fish. Keep away from the very shallow limestone area. Outlines of past war machines are still visible. Entry fee paid in American dollars is pricey for the local economy.

Sadly most of the material was damaged in the last cyclone. Odd bits of metal and engine blocks are still visible. An expensive swim. Still a beautiful place, spoilt a little by broken glass. I suggest you buy reef shoes for swimming and a good mask and snorkel

It looks like nothing but a hut and a tower from the land but . . Boy o boy is it a treasure trove for snorkeling off the beach. Don't touch the nature just enjoy it. :)

Amazing spot to scuba dive or snorkel! The beach isn’t great for general swimming (because of all the scrap metal) but you can see some of the equipment washed up on the shore so it’s worth a stop if you are in the area.

Very cool spot for snorkeling. Easy to find a sunken ship almost completely intact, right off the coast, plus all sorts of oddities.

For a dive with a difference, check out Million Dollar Point. Bring your snorkelling gear and a picnic lunch. There's a cafe on site, but it was closed when we visited. There are toilets and picnic tables, and lawns to sit on. It's possible to snorkel right from the beach, but beware that the sea is pretty choppy. You will be rewarded with views of old jeeps, tractors, and even boats.

Both an interesting bit of WW2 history and a good snorkeling/dive site. Lots of rusting hardware dumped by US at the end of the war.

If you have no fear of scuba diving this is a great place to see old ship wrecks surrounded by range of beautiful tropical fish.

Definitely worth a look. The diving is much more facinating

It's not a scenic place in the normal sense but I found it super interesting as it was a dumping ground for things not wanted at the end of WWII so if your a person with interests in WWII and how nature trys to convert man's waste to an inhabitable environment defiantly worth a visit.

it was a nice beach and great for snorkeling to see the sunken military stuff. Very close from the Ship terminal and has a nice restaurant that serves hot food and alcoholic beverages.

Fun place to snorkel. We had a very fun morning snorkeling and looking for shells. Cool to see coral and fish living among the remains of tanks and military equipment from WWII.

Cool to look at the old ww2 relics. They charge 5$Au to go here. Toilets need work IE one was missing a seat. Food was nice but make sure you know your conversion rates.

Possibly the only rude people on the island, extremely overpriced and overated.

What the Americans left behind is well worth seeing there is plenty of life among the well preserved wrecks even at snorkeling depth

Great location, little bit of tourist exploitation as you have to pay a fee to even sit on the beach. Considering they didn't make the wreck to snorkel or offer any sort of service they're just trying to get money out of people.

Great little spot of World War II history. A real pile of equipment that was dumped by the US military. Some stuff is easy to identify, other bits not so much. There is some coral growth and a bit of small to medium fish life.

Anyone visiting Vanuatu - this is a must see - snorkel or dive but make sure you get there!

  • 5/5 parker n. 5 years ago on Google
2018 - the fee to swim was sort of funny. doesn't seem like most people pay it and the staff were surprised when we found them to pay. We didn't dive and regret it haha. If you don't scuba dive there is still a LOT you can see. majority of the stuff seems to be buried under coral now but there are still tons of trucks things laying around. Big fish around the bigger and deeper wrecks. after being on a number of reefs around Vanuatu, it was surprising but this was probably the best place for seeing a wide diversity of marine life.

Come with low tide. We had bad luck and the weather was bad so little to see for us. Beach is littered with modern rubbish too.
