I am writing to convey my immense disappointment stemming from our recent vacation at The Warwick in Vanuatu. This reservation, made through Luxury Escapes, has culminated in an experience that falls far short of the advertised luxury and satisfaction associated with your esteemed platform. Our stay at The Warwick was marred by a plethora of issues that collectively resulted in an underwhelming and distressing holiday. I would like to provide a comprehensive account of the grievances we encountered: **Accommodation and Maintenance Shortcomings**: The state of the buildings left much to be desired. Numerous instances of lack of maintenance were evident: the toilet in my room was not securely fastened to the floor, guttering around the main buildings was corroded and deteriorating, and exposed wiring was visible in a common bathroom with tape haphazardly applied to its ends. Paint in my room was peeling, and pathways were riddled with holes. Remarkably, an entire block of rooms endured a lack of hot water during their stay, despite communication about the issue not reaching higher management. Our room had a smoke alarm ripped off the ceiling and bare wires sticking out.  Please refer to the photos.  We also had mould in all 3 rooms on the walls of the bathrooms. **Aged and Outdated Facilities**: The resort itself is in dire need of renovation. The overall appearance, coupled with outdated furniture in the rooms and antiquated bathrooms, reflected a state of neglect. A tap in the basin continuously dispensed hot water, causing an unnecessary mess. Moreover, the shower experience was far from satisfactory. Even tiles coming off the walls. **Poor Housekeeping**: The level of cleanliness in our room was deeply unsatisfactory. While the bed was made daily, other surfaces remained untouched. Dust and grime covered various surfaces, and the bathroom was particularly distressing, with the toilet visibly unclean throughout our stay. Even when we first got let into our rooms my daughters bed had sand in it. **Maintenance Issues**: Numerous maintenance issues plagued our experience. The light in our room malfunctioned, necessitating the removal of the bulb at night. The door sensor was broken, emitting an incessant clicking noise throughout the night, and the key malfunctioned, causing entry difficulties 4 times which we were locked out of our room. **Dining Dissatisfaction**: Our dining experiences at The Warwick were far from satisfactory. The Wild Ginger Restaurant provided mediocre food at exorbitant prices. A mistaken order led to overcharging, reflecting a lack of attention to detail.  The dining options presented to us were below par and did not offer good value for the money. Notably, the Wild Ginger Asian Fusion Restaurant failed to meet expectations. The promised intimate dining experience was belied by a plastic-laminated menu reminiscent of a take-away shop. Even the teppanyaki experience offered more value elsewhere. The Buffet restaurant was even worse with limited variety and food that's suppose to be hot was cold.   The buffet breakfast offered tasteless, low-quality food and undrinkable coffee. **False Advertisement**: The room amenities and features did not align with the advertised standards. The bed, promoted as a queen bed, was, in fact, a small double bed, contributing to our overall discomfort. Also states there are vending machines onsite which there isn't.  My wife was hungry and went to the bar to get some crisps and was told that she had to get a taxi to the casino if she wanted anything.  This was at 9pm which is a joke.  The rooms have no information in regards to if there is room service or how to get in Contact and what's available. **Facility Shortages**: The resort suffered from a lack of essential amenities. Pool towels were consistently scarce, and obtaining bath towels required daily reminders. The promised "Kids Corner" was devoid of any amenities, failing to cater to its intended purpose. The Day Spa was absolutely disgusting with brown water and the rooms stinking and mould smell

We stayed at the Warwick Le Lagon for a week in June 2023 and had a wonderful time. The staff were very attentive to our needs and the manager was readily available for a friendly chat with guests and constantly looking for ways to make everyones stay a great experience. For a resort that was hit hard by a catastrophic cyclone only 3 months ago, they have worked tirelessly to restore the premises to a beautiful holiday destination. There are little bits and pieces here and there you may notice but nothing that would impact having a beautiful holiday and the management and staff are well aware and working hard to repair to make the resort the best it can be. Much like many other travellers I had read the reviews and was a bit concerned the food may be unpleasant- in reality we found the absolute opposite to be true! The restaurant had incredible food, so much so that we chose to go to the buffet most nights instead of the city because we found the food a higher quality. The Italian night was spectacular with the pasta being made to order and flambéing too! The breakfast we also very much enjoyed with a fresh omelette station and lots of freshly cooked pastries. A big shout out to Ronald at the water activities hut who was very patient in teaching all guests how to undertake the sports, we learnt how to use a catamaran which was great fun and a lovely surprise that it was included within the cost of the stay.

We have just returned after spending a week at Warwick le lagon. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left it was fantastic! Great service, beautiful clean lagoon bungalow, lovely grounds, amazing pools. Kids loved it, never bored. Didn't use kids club. Bernard at the water sport was awesome taking the kids coconut husking, crab races, snorkeling, fire lighting ceremony. Great massage at the spa. If I had to criticize anything the evening buffet meals could have been slightly better. The breakfast buffet was great. Prices equivalent to NZ prices for meals. All the staff were working so hard. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We have just returned from a most memorable and enjoyable stay with Le Lagon in Vanuatu and we were very pleased with our overwater bungalow and we had a wonderful time at the resort. There was a flurry of activity at the hotel as covid had a devastating effect on the island and the staff however they were incredibly friendly and productive and in the 10 days of our stay the resort was brought back to tip top shape. There's a few things that are still not back up and running but that had no real impact on the quality and enjoyment of our holiday.

Overall a good experience and lovely resort to stay at. The resort had daily complementary activities for everyone eg: stand up paddle boarding or kayaking and cooking classes, and resort was close to town/markets with a 10 or so minute bus ride. The rooms were also well maintained. Some areas such as: wifi, dinner buffet and drinks were more expensive than in town but overall a nice stay with beautiful views

The food at the buffet is very average and I would suggest too not have dinner there. The other Asian fusion restaurant was quite bad also I suggest eating out if the resort. Also I noticed the exchange rate is very off at the resort which is very concerning. So when U pay your paying alot more as they don't have the updated exchange rate. The pool is amazing and kids loved it.

If you are vegan or even vegetarian, this hotel is definitely not the place for you! They literally have no idea of the concept of meals without meat or fish. Go up the road a little and stay at Nsama Resort where they have two delightful restaurants which do fabulous vegan food. We were forced to go every night, but it was a delight. If you like to stay up after 8.30pm, this is also not the place for you. The staff are nice and try their best. We moved after the first week to a kid-free resort.

Had a lovely week at the Warwick. Staff very friendly, very relaxing and a beautiful location. The included buffet breakfast was really nice. Definitely upgrade to a lagoon view if budgets allows. We really wish we had. Tip for those travelling with children….Kids eat free at the pool restaurant during the day and the restaurant by night (including ice cream!) . We had conflicting info on that and speaking to others they were confused too. If you would like cheaper transport ( the taxis at the resort were quite costly) the shuttle buses take you everywhere for a fraction of the price and can be caught from the top of the main driveway. Locals are lovely and friendly and we felt safe travelling around with our youngsters. Erakor Island is a short kayak over from the resort and well worth a visit for a play on the beach and a cocktail. There’s also a boat which can take you over. Kids play area could do with an overhaul. It didn’t seem very safe.

EXCELLENT. Everything was so good I don't know where to begin. The entire property is clean, spacious and luxurious. The lobby is so nice. The rooms are cleaned everyday with fresh sheets and towels. There's so much to do here. The buffet breakfast was yummy especially the scrambled eggs thank you to the chef/s. The views are amazing feels like total paradise. There's plenty if seating and hammocks around. The ground staff do an amazing job keeping the property maintained. Highly recommended this resort. Its a safe place and perfect for the kids. There's kids club and a gym, Kayaking, pool tables, pools, restaurants, and so much more. Thank you le warwick Lagoon. Will be back next year.

Warwick's has a good reputation and I can see why. It is pleasant and the pools are delightful. It is great for kids (although ours refused to use the kids club). I reduced our rating based on two factors. First, the food is fine. But very far from good. It's the same most days and basic. Second, the staff were pleasant but unknowledgeable and apathetic. They didn't know about any activities, they often took hours or days to do things, and just weren't really paying attention. We were amazed by the staff attentiveness and organisation of some of the other hotels/resorts we visited on day trips. We had lots of great food outside of Warwick's.

This resort has potential - but needs lots of work The property was not maintained during covid and sadly has run into disrepair and is not at the standard of what you’d expect from a 4 star resort Breakfast offerings are average at best Dinner was sub par but the cocktails at the poor bar were great Paths are slippery and poorly lit Our shower head was a dribble and the bath tub was siliconed into place Luckily we were moved to an overwater suite and this villa was virtually brand new and this experience redeemed our vacation experience. The staff are so lovely, friendly and welcoming but the team need to use the notice boards to advise guests of dinner menus, activities (there was a fire show and Polynesian dance group) and even pop resort info into rooms so we know what number to call for reception or maintenance. There was a huge lack of communication I think if the maintenance crew work full time for 4 weeks they will be ready to accept guests from September But please go to Vanuatu- they need our support

A beautiful resort, set in a gorgeous location. The setting is very relaxing and really pretty. The customer service was outstanding, all the hotel staff were really attentive and friendly, nothing was ever a problem and they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The Wild Ginger restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. Our bed was very comfortable, the room was amazing overlooking the lagoon. When our flight got cancelled, Ramzy the hotel Manager really set our mind at ease, putting us back in our room and they took care of everything with the airline. Overall we had an amazing experience and would definitely visit again.

"Sub par service/ Horrible food" - Stay Well Away until they have completed maintenance and food is available. Paid full price (AUD$800+/NIGHT) and booked directly for their All inclusive package excluding alcohol. Got there and their staff has no idea what packages guests have paid for and no idea about the details of their own packages. It was like no one had basic training. We got put on the wrong package at first but we quickly identified this ourselves when internet and spa vouchers were not provided. We had to keep walking back to reception throughout our stay to confirm what was included as no one picked up calls to reception over the phone. I would rate the food at all our dinner services 1/10 except for bbq night which I would rate 5/10. Breakfast was very basic but acceptable. 6/10 Lunch by the pool was exceptionally disappointing as 60% of the menu was not available with the remaining 40% of the menu being sub par. Overall 2/10 When we went to book a time in for a massage at the spa, the staff who booked us in was extremely rude. Felt like she didn't want to be there. Room was clean & acceptable. 7/10: Expected a little more from a 4.5 star hotel. Golf was not available which was disappointing as It was a big reason we booked this resort. Apparently the resort was not maintained during covid and the golf course was now a jungle. They didn't even have a cage for guests to have a few swings. 0/10 Water sport department was a highlight. Henry and his team were exceptional! Availability of the kayak, canoes and catamaran were a highlight. The staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. 8/10. Points deducted for aging equipment. The 5 pools were great for adult and kids. 9/10 Kid club staff provided a great service. Baby sitting services were also top notch. Kids playground requires a proper cleaning as the kids were coming out with black hands and feet from the built up dirt. I suspect it hasn't been cleaned for a good 6 months. Overall 7/10 When we went to checkout and pay our bills, we were initially printed a bill for VT600,000 (AUD$7,500+) for 6 nights because they still didn't know what package we had booked. It took 45 mins for them to finally have the manager come out to sort the situation and get to the correct bill. The final bill for our all inclusive package came to AUD$4800+. We felt that we were scammed as we did not receive the food service that was advertised and paid for. They could not fulfil the items on menu. We ended up eating a few meals at other hotels/resorts nearby ie. Cafe Vila and Erakor Island where the food quality was significantly better. I will also be writing to the operators of Warwick and filing a formal complaint.

Very tired place. Rooms are run down, furniture is all old. Tap in our room poured hot hot all over basin. Shower was terrible. Light didn't turn off properly, had to take bulb out. No light cover on light. The milk was off in the room. Buffet breakfast very cheap food. Coffee undrinkable & cold. What is meant to be sausages is cut up hotdogs. Don't bother eating at Wild Ginger restaurant. Not much to choose from, & very basic. Plastic laminated menu and confusing how you order and where you sit. They gave us the wrong food, and apologised but at the end we had to pay for it. The wine menu doesn't have glass and bottle prices, we ordered a bottle and they charged us glass price x4 that ended up costing $150 and then we were told too bad when we said that the menu should say glass or bottle. The manager was very rude. We used to come to this place all the time and loved it, but after this experience we will NEVER be back and do not recommend staying here. Much better options elsewhere.

My third visit to the Warwick would not stay anywhere else. Great location, staff, accommodation. I always stay in garden bungalows and have also stayed in lagoon rooms. A pleasure to come back after a day out to beautiful clean accommodation. The resort is managed by Ramzy who seems to always be around watching what is going on apart from just sitting in his office. Jeanette, who looks after guest relations is amazing. Hopefully, she will never leave working at the resort as she is amazing. Ronald in the water sports section always willing to help in anyway and generally all staff from reception to dining are wonderful. Could not fault this resort nor could my friends I have taken there for their first time. When staying in Vanuatu Warwick Le Lagon is the place to stay. One must also realise when visiting these islands you are on island time. That’s the reason I holiday there..

I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful staff at the Warwick for making our stay truly memorable. Throughout the week, their friendliness and warmth made us feel incredibly welcome, adding to the overall relaxation and enjoyment of our time at this beautiful location. Once again, a sincere thank you to the staff for their kindness, and a special shout-out to the General Manager, Ramzy, for creating such a wonderful environment at the Warwick. We will cherish the memories of our stay and hope to return in the future.

The Warwick is tired. There is a clear lack of "owner presence". You get stung cost wise at every turn and whilst I appreciate there is much needed injection of tourist cash post cyclone, it seems the Warwick's tiredness predates this. In AUD terms, an average meal equates to the bill in Sydney's decent restaurants. Average meal for 2 adults and a kid will set you back about 8,500 vatu here. Without alcohol. The staff are friendly and upbeat. The rooms could use a refreshing. Just to ensure I wasn't off the mark, I checked with other guests who largely felt the same - especially re costs. The setting is beautiful and would I come back to the Warwick - probably not. But Vanuatu - most definitely.

It needs a clean. Not enough water comes out of the shower head because it needs a clean and has limescale ( tip : plastic bag full of vinger tied on will help ) so the drain is really dirty and blocked with hair. You can't charge an ipad. They don't have enough power. Not even in the main building. They charge for internet. Didn't that go out with the dinosaurs? I wouldn't bother either its bound to be bad. And the staff are just not as happy as other hotels in the city. This is the third hotel here on this trip and I have stayed at a few others before, the staff just feel a bit miserable. Which is strange and unusual for vanuatu. I wasn't the only one to notice either.

Many people say the Warwick is expensive for food and drinks - but it is so close to so many good bars and resturants and has a great Lagoon. The staff were always pleasant and helpful - I like it.

This is not a four star resort 😞 holes in towels out dates furniture in room, house keeping not efficient, very over priced for meals and drinks. I would not recommend the Warrick. We were very disappointed 😞 under charged with the exchange rate on our $500 voucher so had to pay a extra $100.

This is a beautiful Resort great food and wine. We were looked after fabulously by the Waitress she could not do enough for us and had a very cheeky sense of humour it's just what you need when you are on Holidays. Looking forward to going back to Vanuatu and actually staying here.

Extremely run down, gutters rusted through, stair rails also rusted through. Rooms were ok, however we as a couple had 2 extra single beds also in our room, with no table to even sit and have a coffee. Asked for them or at least one to be removed and never happened, bathroom had mould, furniture was old. Main restaurant food was below average, regardless of the nightly theme, all the food was similar. Canned fruit on offer at breakfast was also disappointing. There was a big BBQ area near the pool that was never used, not even on the BBQ themed night. Staff were friendly , however overall extremely disappointed with the resort definitely does not deserve it's rating. Warwick management need to put some work and effort into this resort, it has truly been let go. Unfortunately this holiday was memorable for all the wrong reasons

  • 3/5 Sharon E. 7 months ago on Google
So the hotel looked good from the approach, but sadly went a bit downhill from there. It's rated as 4 to 5 star across various websites but I think it's more like a 3 star hotel. Unfortunately the cyclone in March 2023 devastated the island and ruined all their crops, there is very little fresh fruit anywhere on the island. The buffet breakfast was reasonably extensive but the hot food was only lukewarm at best and cold in most cases - every day. The bain marie's appeared to be turned off most of the time. We had the restaurant buffet (2 buffets, 2 beers VTU8000 / A$111) the first night but then ate at Umaiya just outside the hotel grounds most nights, both for value and quality. Hotel buffet dinner was 6pm-9pm but one night we dined there, they ran out of several items by 7.15pm. The pool bar food menu available over lunchtime is extensive. Our room was spacious but needs a serious refurb. We had broken light fittings, the aircon was set at a very cold 20 degrees which was OK during the day but too cold at night. The aircon remote wasn't remotely connected to the unit. The beds were reasonably comfortable. Most of the fly screens were broken, not fitted properly. The pool area was great, ample sunbeds, most with shade. The hotel grounds were a bit unkempt, weeds growing everywhere but there was a big crew of gardeners came in 2 days before we left as they gear up for the Australian school holidays and main summer season and it did look a lot better. The staff were lovely, very helpful and smiling all the time. There are several activities each day but you have to go and check the noticeboard for these. Would be better if a flyer listing following days activities could be placed in each room when cleaned. Snorkelling is better at high tide so be aware of tide times. We heard at the end of our holiday the water sports crew ran snorkelling tours out to the reef but we hadn't seen anything anywhere in the hotel about that so were a bit disappointed not to have known. I'm not sure how much impact the March cyclone is still having, trying to give benefit of the doubt for all my grumbles. We spoke to a few people that stayed in other hotels on the island last year and they said the standard was similar so I don't think the state of Warwick Le Lagon is specific to that hotel. Tips and summary - visit after the school holidays (if holiday time is flexible) to see the hotel grounds at their best. Buy local currency at Port Vila airport, better exchange rate than at hotel. Buy duty free in Port Vila as it's much cheaper than Australian duty free. Duty free at Port Vila airport has less choice than in the duty free shops in Port Vila. Buy a SIM card for internet at Port Vila airport, the hotel wifi is very expensive ($130 for 1 week, 3 devices). Get local buses into Port Vila (VTU150 / $2 each) rather than taxis from the hotel.

Just wanted to share my thoughts as we were nervous before arriving after reading some of the reviews, but after being there for 8 nights I can't recommend it high enough, it was an amazing time and the staff were wonderful. Definitely needs some TLC but it looked as if it was happening while we were there, would definitely go again!

The resort itself is spectacular and well kept. The location is really good. The breakfast was great, and the room was so nice with a comfy bed and great shower. The restaurant has really good food (condensed menu due to recovering still from covid but what's on the menu is really good). Which is why it was so disappointing to be let down by the staff at reception. They tried to charge us a lot more than what we originally booked online which was stressful. They seem irritated and angry rather than polite. I heard from staff members that they're still recovering from the pandemic. But check in was 3 hours late, and they only had one person on desk with a long queue of people arriving from the airport. They need to do a much better job with training the reception staff. The exchange they use as a hotel is confusing. But if you can overlook that, then the actual resort is stunning. The pools are great, and you can sit in the pool ordering drinks. Getting busses to town is fairly easy and they're regular. You can use the kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel gear free of charge. The fire show is really fun and unforgettable. The gardens are really well kept. Some staff were super friendly (Mary was one of them!) You'd think if you were paying $500+ a night that WIFI would be free but no, they charge an extra $30 or so to use it. If this hotel just put a bit more effort into the customer service aspect it could be a top notch hotel. But as of now, the horrible arrival, overcharging, late checkin and rude reception staff left a very bad taste. By the end of the holiday we had mostly forgotten about it, but be prepared for the worst check in experience of your life.

We have had a very relaxing week at the Warwick Le Lagon. We got upgraded to the island suites which l highly recommend, l honestly would suggest either the island suites or the private pool villas, as the other rooms are a little outdated, and run down. Location of our island suite was perfect, located in the middle of the resort and central to the main pool areas and restaurants. Food and drinks are pricey similar to the prices in Australia, so l do recommend stopping at the local supermarkets and stocking up on drinks and snacks. Massive shout out to the hotel manager Ramsey who looked after us very well and made the rest of our stay very enjoyable, after a small speed hump at the beginning. Shout out to Will at the bar who looked after us very well, and always went out of his way to say hello to us and have a chat whenever he saw us. Kids eat free during your stay so that was great, which brought the cost of our stay down a little. Would definitely come back but as l said would only stay in the island suites or private pool villas (worth the extra $). Thank you Warwick Le Lagon for a beautiful and very relaxing stay. We will definitely be back!!

The pool area was great. Food was very dissappointing. We had a Chicken Cashew nut and Stir Fried vegetables. Chicken was like rubber, no cashew nuts and vegetables were carrots and beans. Both meals had little taste. Pool bar staff were un helpful, particularly one man. We wanted to order from the poolside menu at 2:58 but we're told the kitchen closed at 3pm. Lady in Spa area was also rude. Rooms are very basic and in need of an upgrade. The view and the pools make up for the dissappointing service from the staff. Also the breakfast staff are great, helpful and happy. I would not go back. I would understand if they were busy however we were the only 2 at the bar

Beautiful resort in a great location! Kids club is a fantastic service and the hours of operation perfect for kids to get in activities they want to do while still having ample family time. Make sure you enjoy the teppanyaki at the Wild Ginger restaurant at least once - absolute highlight - 10/10. Not quite the standard of it's sister resort in Fiji (Not the same level of facilities and little extras) but would definitely visit again!

I feel bad not giving this hotel/resort more stars, but I'll explain why it was only 3 stars. We were only in Vanuatu for 3 days total. During those three days, there was torrential downpour every single day, minus our car ride back to the airport. This hotel did offer some activities and water sports, but we were not able to take advantage of any of them. The staff was exceptional in their service. I would say this resort is about 20-30 minutes from the airport. You will pass through the main town on your travels there. Don't take my 3 stars as a definitive impression, I simply couldn't go above three stars in all fairness. The staff was helpful and very warm and welcoming. Our accomodations were clean, and we didn't have an issue seeing the water from our deck.

Lovely resort set on gardens and a golf course, huge pools , and right on the lagoon allowing activities such as snorkeling. Easy access into Port Vila via bus or taxi. The staff were friendly and helpful, Simon, Kenny and Steve were great.and made a big difference to our holiday. On the negative, we were in a family room and the room with 2 single beds was hot and stuffy, needed some air con or a fan. The cooling didn't get around the corner. Doors on the bathroom would be desirable.

  • 4/5 Hannah C. 4 years ago on Google
The people that work there are an absolute credit to your resort. Always smiling and make you feel welcome. The resort is dated but considering its age this is understandable. It is quite expensive for drinks and food considering you can go to town and get food and drinks at a better standard for half the price but the cost is for convenience. Would I stay again? Probably not. Would I recommend to people with kids? Definitely. Caters to children very well. Is it a beautiful part of the world? Yes but next time we'll be going somewhere a little less mainstream.

What an amazing welcoming from the staff at the Warwick when we arrived. Great service. Great entertainment in the hotel for all age groups. Fresh food every day. Staff a amazing with the kids and what a view from the room of the beach and sunset. Can't wait to go back next year.

Fantastic staff and service. Carl, who does the traditional dancing, singing, fire displays, bonfires, crab races, etc, deserves special mention, but all staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms, pool and grounds were wonderful. The lagoon is great for all water activities and just to look at while having a drink or a meal. However, $$ for lunch and dinner and drinks were much too high.

Accommodation was clean and comfortable. The pool area and resort generally is set up for families with plenty for the kids to do. There wasn't much crowding for anything that wanted to do - we didn't see anybody else use the tennis courts all week for example - though sunloungers ran short on sunny days. The on ground spa was great, though book in advance, especially for longer treatments. Kids club was also good, though be prepared that some activities are extra cost. Only downside was that some of the ways that the all-inclusive food and drinks package worked wasn't well explained, we were lucky to not incur extra costs and it took a few days to sort it out.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Took our two boys (toddler and baby) for a week and loved every minute of it. Spoilt for choice with the 5 pools of all sizes that catered for all of us. No fences so had to watch toddler like a hawk but as we went just after holiday season this was pretty easy to do. The staff were fantastic, so personal and friendly. Had different entertainment each night to add to the nighttime atmosphere. Room was lovely and always serviced well. Restaurants were great and had yummy selections. Recommend taking ferry over to island across from resort for the restaurant there as well. Grounds of resort were immaculate. Would highly recommend this place for a family friendly trip away! Wi fi not great so load up on content if you need extra ammo for kids but to be honest, was nice to be 'off the grid'. Food and bev were not super cheap but we thought it was fairly reasonable for a resort of this standard. Could prob find cheaper and/or bring in own food and bev if you can be bothered and if your room has self contain facilities but if you're looking for cheap food and bev when booking a place like this I think you need to reevaluate. It was all worth it! As an aside, did a quick trip into the closest 'main street'. Not much there except for a 24 hr growers market and super market for basic needs and a few souvenir shops. A definite eye opener into local living but a bit difficult to really take it all in with a toddler and baby in pram as there was a lot of traffic and market was a bit chaotic.

I stayed at the Warwick for 1 week in Jan 2023. I was surprised how big the place was. From arrival I felt warm welcomes and was taken to my room by buggy. The bungalows are kind of an old school style, but spacious and cosy. Air con worked a treat and it was always nice to come back and chill in a cold room after being in the heat for so long. The pool is big, lots of sun beds to lay down and a pool bar. I really enjoyed the teppanyaki at Ginger and the buffet breakfast had a huge variety. You do have to pay for wifi and it works really well near the pool and lobby. The outside of the spa is under renovations at the moment but the massages are still available and they are amazing! Kids can also get their hair braided which seemed to be popular. They also have kayaks available which you can take around the lagoon and other activities depending on the day. I would recommend staying here.

Visited in June. Great resort but the heated spa was out of action and the pool area was under renovation with loud jackhammers. I just feel it would have been fair to mention this at time of booking so we could reevaluate our options and stay somewhere else considering the pool area is the main attraction for our kids. Aside from this, the resort and staff are very nice.

Gorgeous location, packed with activities for family’s and couples alike, however probably not appropriate for quiet romantic getaways as there’s so many kids about (unless of course you have kids in which case the nanny service is perfect!) Facilities could be a little cleaner, the tiles by the pool were in need of a water blasting and lots of the lounger seat covers were stained. Staff were the highlight of our stay, sincerely friendly and always ready to go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable ☀️

Warwick was the most warm and welcoming resort I have ever stayed. The staff were happy to fulfil any and all requests with a warm Vanuatu smile! Even in the week I stayed, the services and hospitality was only improving with more facilities opening each day. Covid hit Vanuatu hard, but I could not tell until I spoke with the locals! Henry was the best; fulfilling my life long dream of cracking open a coconut, fresh off the tree, on my first day. Annie was amazing on the stove, making a fresh omelette for me every morning to the precise requirements I listed (different every day). Mary was the nicest bartender I've met, making a dangerous Pina Colada that became an uncontrollable daily habit. The list goes on and the hospitality was exceptional! I feel like a sand person...once spooked, I will return...and in great numbers.

Beautiful resort and location...took a hard hit through Covid, but with more visitors hopefully get back to normal. Nice margaritas at the bar ☺️

The resort was beautiful and the staff make this place even more special. They are friendly, welcoming, helpful and just so much fun to be around. It was one of the most relaxing holidays I have been on and have booked to come back again next year.

We stayed at Warwick Le Lagon for 6 nights in the 2 bedroom pool villa. For the price we paid we would have expected a room that had no issues. On day 3 our power went out throughout the villa and we had to move all of our belongings into a 1 bedroom villa only to find that once a bed was bought in for my son, we had no room to move so once again we were moved back to the original villa once they sorted out the issue. Then on day 6 the air-conditioning stopped working in the villa. The service throughout the resort was extremely slow and multiple calls had to be made to reception to follow up issues and amenities showed severe signs of aging and no maintenance was completed on broken tiles in the pool etc. Pool towels were scarce and you were lucky to have found 1. We tried to book a couples massage and the massage therapist brushed us off saying she was too busy to help us book an appointment for days later and walked off on us so we never booked it. Paying just over $6000 for 6 nights, you would expect 5 star service and this definitely was not. The food at the buffet was poor quality but the wild ginger restaurant was nice. Management really need to step up their game and fix this resort up. The staff are super friendly though and always had a smile on their face.
