Simply magical. My partner & I stayed our first few nights in Vanuatu here. Walking through the enchanting tropical garden to the lagoon front open air restaurant is beyond beautiful. We had one of the upstairs rooms with a large balcony. It is not new, but like a grand old dame, aged gracefully, and gave us a feeling of being amongst the real Vanuatu. I wish I could have stayed forever. The food was the best we had in Vanuatu. And the staff so warm and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Owner Ursula, manager Elise, the lovely Lucy, and all the staff were just awesome.

First of all the staff is very friendly and helpful, but then it stops , no restaurant . On weekends the hotel next to it the restaurant is closed as well after 5 pm , if you look for absolute quiet time than you are at the right place . Because there is nothing else to do in walking distance. The city is around 7 km away. Taxis are very expensive, around 40 dollars for the 7 km, and the local buses are way cheaper around 5 dollars . The hotel itself is run down .the rooms are big what is nice but not really clean . Bed is comfortable. You will need mosquito spray . The garden is beautiful, and the hotel dog chocolate is super friendly and likes a good scratch. The pool is dirty and more a place for drying close for some people. The breakfast is very simple a pancake and toast with butter , no options to get something else . We left after three nights, even we booked for 7 nights and moved clother to the city.

Stayed for two nights. The restaurant is closed, but I hope it opens up soon. Sunsets on the lagoon are gorgeous. The rooms are little outdated from what is shown on the booking websites, but still cozy. The hotel is about a 30-40 min walk from downtown. Buses and taxes are plentiful as well. Breakfast included in accomodations and service while there is great. Would definitely stay again when I'm in Port Vila!

If you are looking for a lovely place to spend a few nights, it will be Vila Chaumières. Just 20 minutes away from the airport. You enter from the parking space through a beautyful flower walkway. Everything is green and colorful. The main building with reception, bar and restaurant is located directly at the water. We choose the room on first floor with a good view along the waterside. The hosts and owners are very nice and good hearted people. They were quite kind with rearranging some nights, because of our flight issues with Air Vanuatu. They also run a really good restaurant. You can sit directly above the water, surrounded by lots of fish with a fantastic view. The chefs chocolate mousse was very delicious. We enjoyed all our evenings there with different main courses. And if you need tour guides or recommendations to visit, they explain all and organize it for you. We also did a little kayaking along the waterside. It was a good and wonderful time there.

Lovely and quiet, lagoon view room was the best with large balcony to relax, the restaurant serves beautiful food and a lovely view and atmosphere. Staff are lovely. Ursula and Richard are fabulous hosts, giving great advice and stayed up till late waiting for us to arrive after long delays. The pool was relaxing, and as there are only 5 rooms with no children, it was perfect. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a nice quiet place to relax and wind down

Nice river views and the crab was pretty good. Definitely recommend. The crab is definitely meant to be shared maybe with another smaller meal to share. We stopped past here for dinner and did not stay at the resort. The accommodation part of this resort also looks awesome with a very rainforest/jungle sort of vibe. Check it out when you're in Vanuatu! Very short drive from Port Vila.

Lovely and tranquil atmosphere, however the food was dissapointment. We tried both lobster varieties, however we were misinformed about the preparation as we expected grilled lobsters which we got confirmed. One lobster was ice cold and the other one overcooked. Also our experienced was influenced by kids spitting into the lagoon right next to our table, however I udnesrtand this is not restaurant's fault. Not worth the money.

We stayed in March 2019 and had the whole place to ourselves for 3 of our days' stay and the staff were wonderful - Brenly, Serah and Elice were so welcoming and helpful. Elice even shared a piece of her birthday cake with us! With only five rooms, Vila Chaumieres is a great place for couples or small groups of adults only to relax and enjoy Port Vila. The grounds are amongst lush gardens and the resort does have a pool which was nice- when the owners came back from holidays they came to see us by the pool to say hello. The restaurant is over the lagoon which is lovely, you can see the fish during your peaceful breakfast of croissants and local fruit. You can order cooked breakfast if you wish, at additional cost. The restaurant is popular and lots of people come from cruise ships and the town to try the french cuisine. The portions are generous and dinner good quality, The rooms are spacious and clean and we had a lagoon view room with a balcony which was lovely, we could see out to the lagoon, gardens and restaurant. The property is close to an au bon marche supermarket and getting buses was easy which would take you wherever you went. Apart from that though the property was not walking distance to the town so just bear that in mind, but buses were really affordable. There was water in our room on arrival but I had expected it to be replenished daily, but additional water was at a cost, however we retained the bottles and refilled them with tap water and chilled it as the water is fine to drink. Overall a wonderful stay and holiday and we would definitely return!!!

A wonderful experience of French cuisine the tranquility of being perched on the edge of lagoon only added to the dining experience. I would highly recommend a visit this this hidden away gem when holidaying or even if residing in Vanuatu. 10/10

Great place & great people (Morgan, Miryam and co) running the place. The rooms are newly done up after Covid shutdown. The garden fabulous and lagoon view awesome. The restaurant is no longer but there is Tropicana restaurant 100m down the road. Will be back :) Thanks, Bill

Myriam was very accommodating with picking us up at the airport even though our flight was delayed until after midnight. Very friendly staff and beautiful spot to kayak on the lagoon.

Great staff and atmosphere, reasonably priced. Owner and staff have excellent local knowledge, great view from the dining deck looking out over the lake.

From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning natural beauty that surrounded the resort. The lush greenery, pristine white-sand beach, and crystal-clear turquoise waters created a postcard-perfect setting. The resort itself was a haven of luxury and comfort. The accommodations were spacious and elegantly designed, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel like a valued guest from the start. The resort also offered a plethora of activities and amenities to keep me entertained throughout my stay. I indulged in rejuvenating spa treatments, relaxed by the infinity pool overlooking the ocean, and participated in exciting water sports. There was never a dull moment during my stay. My experience was nothing short of exceptional. The breathtaking surroundings, top-notch amenities and outstanding service all contributed to making it a truly unforgettable stay. I highly recommend this resort for anyone seeking a luxurious escape. 5 out of 5 stars! Can't wait to return!

This place is so beautiful. You could spend the whole day on the deck looking into the water at the fish etc or relax with your feet in the water
