I
think
anyone
would
struggle
to
find
a
better
place
to
stay
in
Vanuatu.
*
Location
-
right
on
a
reef,
beachfront,
20-minute
drive
to
Port
Vila,
10-minute
bike
ride
to
Honey
Moon
Bay,
some
of
the
best
reef
snorkelling
it's
possible
to
do
anywhere
in
the
world.
*Accommodation
-
well-spaced
out,
quiet
spacious
villas.
You'll
never
feel
crowded,
tropical
gardens
are
stunning,
and
hammocks
and
sun
loungers
on
the
private
beach
are
plentiful.
*Staff
-
the
owners
Marc
and
Constance
are
very
hands-on
and
very
welcoming.
Their
staff
are
in
turn
friendly
and
helpful.
They'll
book
you
on
tours,
arrange
airport
transport
transfers,
recommend
places
to
go,
or
importantly
when
to
go/not
to
go.
*Food
-
great
local
produce
and
cooked
well.
Fish
is
great,
as
is
the
local
meat,
fruit
and
veg.
*Value
-
Vanuatu
isn't
particularly
cheap
in
general,
but
the
food
and
accommodation
is
genuinely
good
value
for
money,
especially
compared
to
what's
around.
Things
to
note.
Vanuatu
isn't
a
rich
country,
with
just
shy
of
70%
of
the
country
living
in
poverty.
Getting
produce
and
goods
to
the
island
is
logistically
challenging,
so
don't
go
there
expecting
high-end
shopping
or
pristine
town
centres.
It
is
an
amazing
place
to
visit,
people
are
friendly,
it
feels
safe,
just
know
what
you're
booking
before
you
go.
We
did,
and
it
surpassed
all
expectations.
The
local
food
and
produce
is
amazing,
so
make
the
most
of
it.
If
you
plan
on
going
on
holiday
only
wanting
to
order
Chinese
food
and
pizzas,
Vanuatu
isn't
the
place
for
you.
If
you
plan
on
doing
trips
and
tours,
lots
of
places
are
well
worth
visiting,
but
avoid
doing
them
if
possible
when
the
cruise
ships
are
in
dock.
Outside
of
those
days,
you'll
have
far
less
crowds
and
a
generally
more
enjoyable
experience.
