Remarkable island atmosphere. Lovely people at Tranquility, Marie and Finn, the managers were not only excellent diving instructors, but also genuine and lovely people. You will feel safe in their hands. The island staff were very friendly and made us feel so comfortable. Maurice the "animal whisperer" takes care of all the island animals, including the hawksbill turtles. He makes sure the turtles are fed well, nurturing them and making them strong for release. He watches over and tends to them carefully. Douglas the cook was dishing out rustic island meals, and Thomas was the friendly face who helped with almost everything! Olive went with us to snorkelling, and showed us so many fish including curious clown fish just below the water surface! We had a great time at Tranquility, not only seeing numerous reef fish, dolphins and coral, we also felt touched by the people who are Tranquility. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience! We were sad to leave!

We had a wonderful stay in this resort which is located in a beautiful natural surrounding. The huts are basic, but you will find everything you need in it. They are located directly at the beach, just a few meters from the blue ocean. You can jump in for snorkeling to view nice corals and a lot of colourful fishes. It's also possible to book a dive there which really good instructors. Other activities are for example hikes in the jungle to fantastic beaches or you can visit the turtle sanctuary. They have also kayaks for free. The food was always great with fresh fruits and a lot of other tasty things. The managers Finn and Marie are so nice and the stuff was very friendly all the time. It is a beautiful and quite paradise, which I can really recommend.

Group of us went to tranquility turtle resort for a day trip, organised our own transport over by boat to see the turtles and go snorkelling. Was utterly disappointed at the state of the turtle enclosures. Tanks consisted of stagnant water with no filtration. Also very dirty and significantly small, ratio of turtles to each tank felt too much. One tank full of turtles had no water in it, which we alerted the “tour guide” about and said that they would refill the tank with water but they never did (we checked right before we left). These turtles were very unhappy and visibly distressed. We felt rushed off the island, as well as felt questioned as so why we were there in the first place when we arrived. No price had been discussed or agreed upon when entering the island and talking to the “owner” for a significant amount of time. Minimum donation of 1,500 vt each was requested, plus a landing free of 9,000 vt per person (!!) for day use of the island, despite our stay being just using the beach and snorkelling with our own equipment.

Marie and Finn are, besides being talented and professional dive instructors, generous, kind, spontaneous and interesting people who made our experience memorable! The fares have everything you need, are very private in such an idyllic surrounding - ocean at your doorstep and an absolutely stunning oceans views and sounds. Gorgeous reef and dive sites, beautiful bush walks and beaches Thomas and Douglas are the best chef in Vanuatu - mention special for the coconut crepes, they cooked lovely meals and looked after us well. Best experience in Vanuatu - just the whole package of beautiful scenery, ocean at your doorstep, snorkelling, scubadiving, turtle sanctuary, Marie & Finn and their team and the beautiful food. We will definitely come back and hoping to catch up somewhere in the world with Marie & Finn again

No tv, electricity only for two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening. Very old and tired resort. Food was rationed with little to spare. Some nights I was the only person in the resort. No curtains on the windows. No lock on the door. Water stopped in the shower. Room was not cleaned until I asked. No places to go as there are no roads, bikes, cars, shops etc I booked for a week and would not visit again. Finn and Marie were leaving after a year and seemed not interested. Local staff were all excellent.

This place has seen better day. It feels a bit tired. A wannabe Fiji like resort, but without the professionalism. Not charming like a homestay on Pele, not high quality as a resort. It doesn't help that they are not really professional. Boat seems always very late (45 minutes in our case). Our room wasn't done on arrival, they simply made us wait on chairs for another hour. Yet, it was 20 000 Vatu, or approx. 240$ CAD. Too expensive for what it is in my opinion.

A scam and animal cruelty AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS**** The owner of this business is Australian, he will never be allowed to have those poor tourtles in that condition in Australia. I felt completely ripped off. I was sold a "snorkelling tour". There was no snorkelling guide, I was not given any equipment. The good beach for snorkelling is not the one next to the resort, but the one that is far away. I was told it was a full day tour, the "bus" picked me up late (It was not a bus) and then "the tour" was finished earlier as there were some guest's staying at the resort checking out (so I had to leave with them, as there is a little boat that takes customers from the resort to Havannah Port). On top of this, the tourtles' condition is just unacceptable. I felt really bad as I paid this "tour" and with my money I supported this animal cruelty. I have travelled around the world and I don't usually give bad reviews. But this is SO IMPORTANT please don't go here. Don't waste your time and money and don't support this animal cruelty. See the photos please. These tourtles' are not taken from the sea when they have a problem, they are raised in captivity. Then, they are kept in those filthy tanks and they are only free when a customer pays for it. They are making money out of them. I have worked and lived and Australia and I know how tourtles' should be kept in a santuary. This is NOT A SANCTUARY.

Old boat under horse powered. As they were running over an hour late, we did not get to spend time on the beach. The beach is fab. Turtle sanctuary needs more exposure to raise money for them. We did the two snokle trips off shore and saw eagle rays and very big Wasses.
