Went to Back to Eden following recommendations of our French colleague who praised the food. They also have the most amazing snorkeling site. We swam close to a large turtle, say giant clams sanctuary and many more. The hosts are wonderful people who put their heart and soul as well as brain into this place. The food was high quality and delicious. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing place. I recommend the accommodation, food and snorkeling. If you want to relax and not be surrounded by lots of people, this is the place you want to go to. No visit to Vanuatu should be without a couple of nights spent here. The overall experience, seeing turtles and giant clams, as well as dozens of clown fish in the wild, the sunset, the fire flies, beautiful bird life, etc etc can only be described as surreal. Alan and Bronnie, thanks for an awesome escape.

Fantastic spot to go for a snorkel and spend a day by the beach in the beautiful location. Kids loved exploring the rock pools and jumping off the rocks. We didn’t get a chance to taste the food, so cannot comment about that but the staff were very nice and welcoming.

Was here for an evening meal with friends. Dinner was VERY delicious, one of my best lasagnas ever. Nice tasting curry and salad too. Smart island interior in the dining and toilet areas, kids toys and some games to keep the young ones busy. Private but corally beach with romantic spots. Friendly owners. Beautiful sunset behind the so-called Hat island; very close to where they shot the Survivor. A little off the beaten track but you don't come here for loud social life so that's not a problem. Even get to meet village people on the way to the resort.

We did the turtle tour and absolutely loved it. They provided a transfer from our resort and our driver was very funny and insightful. Our snorkeling guide Max was great - he was super knowledgeable about the reef and the fish and is even involved in the conservation of the area. We learnt a lot. Definitely reccomend

Back to Eden offer wonderful tours for snorkelling and lunch, exploring the north end of beautiful Efate. They have great communication and are lovely people - find them on Facebook under ‘Back to Eden turtle tours’. Highly recommend looking into their tours when travelling in Vanuatu for snorkelling and the chance to do it with turtles. A really good, local company that offers a special experience with tour pickup and an easily accessible reef.

We went snorkeling and had lunch here. The snorkeling was excellent, we saw 5 turtles and some giant clams. The guide, Max, took some great photos while we were snorkeling. The food is quite nice. It's a bit off the beaten track but we made it safely in our little car.

This place is now closed. The sign at the entrance to the main road says the place is up for sale. We drove in and gave up after the road in became increasingly overgrown (even by Vanuatu standards). Some locals have put up their own sign for swimming with the turtles presumably to charge tourists access to the beach. Shame as we were looking forward to this.

A must do tour at Port Vila. We did the turtle tour with Jerry today, the coral is stunning and the water is calm. Jerry, our snorkelling guide, took us to all the secret spots, showed us the Nemo city (it is literally like a Castle filled with Nemo), and the cheeky clam that can literally bite your arms off! He went all the way out to find us the sea turtle and we saw two. We had two young kids 6 and 8 years old and he was so caring and took extra care of them in the ocean. I really cannot ask for more. And don’t miss the lunch there, the curry and tomato pasta are delicious!

Do not go. The photos on the website look very nice but the food was inedible. We got the spinach pie and it came out like rubber, would have probably made us sick. We also tried the vegetarian nachos and the chips were very stale. The chefs were laughing in the kitchen the whole time making us think either they didn’t care about cooking or they knew what they were sending out was rubbish. Beautiful location but don’t eat there.

Back to Eden - set up a beautiful day for my family, we'll never forget! Saw 4 turtles, 2 giant squid, incredible giant clams, Nemo city. Gorgeous!

We visited this place hoping for a drink or some food but unfortunately it was closed. We were able to go down to the water and enjoy the amazing location. You can see noticeable damage from the 2 cyclone 🌀 they have had. It was still beautiful but would of been amazing before these.
