The Espiritu is clearly underrated for the level of service they provide to their customers. I hired a car from The Espiritu for a week and have nothing but good things to say about them. Simon was an absolute gem and made everything run smoothly. He recommended places to visit, routes to take and tour companies to follow. Very accomodating and friendly guy. He even chucked in some snorkelling gear to start us off. Only word of warning is that driving in Santo is a whole different jam than Australia and the car has manual transmission and a left-hand drive, so you have to take that into consideration prior to booking. However, having access to a car is significantly more convenient and much nicer than going on and off random taxis, not to mention safer too. The car we hired had all the necessities; a big boot, air conditioning and extremely good fuel efficiency, which is great as there are only two fuel stops across Santo. Alongside the car rental company, all aspects of the Espiritu hotel has been wonderful to me. I was feeling ill and the waitress at the Tu restaurant was very caring and gave me medicine and a blanket, so shout out to that. Would highly recommend The Espiritu Car Rentals to everyone for their top notch level of customer service and great value for money.

I've been traveling for both business and pleasure in Vanuatu for 17years, The Espiritu is the best value I've found! This is my 'go-to' place in Santo. The staff have been exceptional, the rooms clean, and the restaurant fantastic. Located in the center of Luganville you step inside and feel like you're at a resort. It is rare that I get an immediate positive reaction to a hotel -- and i travel almost weekly -- but The Espiritu felt perfect from the start to the finish. This stay is a business trip but I'll be back for my next Santo holiday.

If you need to wake up in a hurry, order a jumbo cup of coffee. We tried the caramel macchiato on our first visit and were hooked. It's strong and sweet until the last drop. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio, among the ferns. The cafe staff were all friendly. If you like history, check out the WW2 display near the bar.

Beautiful and clean hotel. Modern decor and very friendly staff. Restaurant has a good selection of great meals and compli entry breakfast for guests is generous. Pool is a good size and refreshing. No views due to new building but across the road from the water. Overall great place to stay or visit.

Great location and super friendly staff. The room was very large and spotless clean. The restaurant for lunch and dinner offered a good selection and was always fresh. Only the tropical break need some improvement, as the selection was very limited and not up to the standard. Overall, I truly recommend "The Espiritu Hotel", specially for the great hospitality of the employees.

Alright so just opening from covid and staying here overnight. Been here before but thought I would write a review. First staff cant do enough for you. They are awesome from the desk to restaurant. Makes the stay so much easier. Relaxed vibe which was great too and made it much easier to stay here. Room was small but fine. 4 tv channels if that is important to you but they have heaps of dvds to watch and importantly the food is great. Would defo stay again.

I did not stay there but the restaurant was my to go place for dinner during my visit in town. The food was great and the staff were very friendly. Very good vibe. Highly recommend it for the dine out. A bit pricey but not for travellers from Australia.

Best hotel in town. Clean rooms with hot showers and good AC. WiFi is pretty slow and Digicel/vodafone cellular data is slow too. Food at the restaurant is delicious. The fresh coconut is the best - you can ask them to chop it and you can scoop the meat from the shell afterwards.

We had a dive group of 28 Aussies stay at this hotel (we were a family of 3). The staff organisation was impeccable. They allowed us to pre-book lunch & dinner so that when we arrived “home” from diving, our meals were served within minutes of being seated! Restaurant staff remembered our names & room numbers, which was a lovely personal touch. Staff always greeted us with big smiles and seemed to genuinely enjoy our presence. Glasses were continuously kept topped up (even with water which was free). ALL staff went above and beyond for us everyday. BIG, fresh meals (my fiancé & I even shared meals & still felt full afterwards). The chef catered beautifully for our dietary requirements (2 vegans), with no additional charges and an array of meals to choose from. Reception staff helped with tours, massages, etc and were very knowledgeable about the local area & activities available. Simon & Gaetan showed impeccable management skills throughout our stay. Bissy felt more like an Aunt the way she cared for us. I had previously stayed at a 5 star resort in Singapore with great service but feel like Espiritu was better, because of the personalised service provided. We would definitely stay again, without hesitation. Very clean room. Daily cleaning & shampoo/conditioner top ups. Beautiful locally made soaps. Great shower, comfortable soft bed. Mini fridge provided for our convenience.

(3.5 stars) We stopped in at The Espiritu Hotel, Restaurant Bar & Pool for passionfruit mojitos and a tasty, shared, calamari-topped burger that also came with a lime juice (1600VT). This was also where we rented our car, which was a manual 2WD SUV (9000VT/day) when hired for 2–3 days. The car had seen better days, with very little suspension, gear changing a bit loose, and a squealing clutch, but Santo roads are certainly very challenging in places so we could understand why it was in this condition.

DecoStop is sublime! Hosts Kim and Ben "go over and above" to make your stay super comfortable, tell them what you need and it's done! The lodge is close to town and local ferry services and is a short drive to some of the most beautiful beaches and swimming holes. Food is great - fresh and delicious, accomodation is clean, and service is unreal nothing is too much trouble. We had such a good time - Thank you Deco Stop!!

As per other comments, Tara and team provide excellent customer service during our recent dive holiday. Very helpful and provided great suggestions for places to visit, sunset drinks and various places to eat. Special shout out to the lovely Busy in the restaurant/bar, nothing was too much trouble for her.

Stayed here for a week while diving the wreck of the SS President Coolidge. Tara and her amazing team couldn't enough for our group of 12. Nothing was too much trouble. I've stayed here before and coming out of covid its even better (great job Simon and Rayman). 5 stars sure, food gets a six.

A lovely hotel. Well set out. Clean comfortable room. The staff were amazing from the restaurant staff, front of house staff to housekeeping. Checking you were OK or needing anything without being intrusive. Food was great. Would absolutely recommend this hotel. Check out was 11am but my flight wasn't until the afternoon so spent my time in between at the pool and had lunch after checking out.

Lovely hotel. We arrived on a Sunday morning not realising everything was closed. We hadn't pre booked a tour and all hire cars were booked out until the day we left. The lovely lady on reception was very helpful and called around to some drivers. We then managed to get a driver to take us up the east coast which was a lovely day. Hotel is in the best location. Rooms are spacious and clean. King bed sofa fridge kettle t.v. desk and bathroom. Pool and pool table which can be used. Food is lovely. Happy hour every day too. Would stay again and totally recommend. Thanks for having us.

Great central location in Luganville on the main road, lots of friendly, helpful staff, good pool, cafe, restaurant and bar area open most of the day, one of the best in Santo. Good breakfast, coffee and dinners. Rooms were large and comfortable. Good selection of trips available and their trip up the east coast was a highlight of the stay and great value compared to local agents. Poor wifi and tv, Wifi was either off or slow, never more than 1Mbps on Ookla, so only for emails and basic web browsing. Tv was only 2 channels, mostly sport and a foreign channel, bar tv had lots of channels and there were at least three large satellite dishes, but the staff could only say it doesnt work, so problem was only for the rooms. Alternative was use of ex rental DVDs, but selection was poor and many were scratched.

What do you need to know? Central Clean and tidy with quality finishing Car rental Restaurant and pool Great staff A popular stop for many especially the restaurant and pool which is great for a lunch before your flight or a week of dinners while you travel each day. As with all restaurants be prepared for some Menu items to change pending available items.
