We had an amazing time just watching the waves come in. Pretty sure we saw a couple of fish getting launched through the air who had a very different experience at the blowholes.

This is a remote spot (as remote as anything on Tongatapu can be at least) but it was easy to get to. Could've spent hours here mesmerised by the blowholes on such a beautiful day. There are no facilities in terms of bathrooms, food, etc. but there are a few local craft vendors who setup shop near the road turn off. Absolutely stunning spot, especially if (like me) you've never seen natural blowholes before.

One of the most dramatic locations you can see. You can see the waves crashing against the rocks all along the coastline.

The tide was a little too high on my trip to experience the blow holes right up close, but they were still magnificent to behold. There was a quiet pool to wade into with tropical fish.

This is a very cool set of blowholes that I could just watch for hours. The waves whistle as they come through the rocks, which gives it the local name. It's definitely worth a stop if you're on the island, especially since there's a public bathroom and trashcan, and the road is very smooth.

Top place to visit in Tonga as a tourist. I could spend hours there just watching the waves hit the coral and water sprouts up. Tips are to go anyday but especially a windy day as our Tongan friend. If you went on a less windy day, our friends told us that the locals there would whistle and that would make the wind stronger. I can't whistle but when I went someone was definitely whistling in the background. Amazing to watch and definitely worth the time. I got some amazing photos.

I loved the blow holes, one of my favorite things on the island. It was nice to stand and watch the waves crashing into the limestone.

Video doesn’t do any Justice to the beauty of the site. The tide was out, but the blows were still soo powerful, you can only imagine. Exerts such a calming energy as you watch. There’s also a lovely lady selling souvenirs but doesn’t bug you which is nice. Definitely a must see. Beautiful Tonga.

If you ever have the pleasure of getting to know the beautiful people of Tonga don’t forget to check out the island features :-) I’ve been all over the world and “blowholes” is an unreal paradise to soak in!!! Relax and see all the colorful fish and appreciate the power of the ocean as it slams into the rock side!

The blowholes are an amazing place to see. I would recommend going to see them when the water is more choppy or the weather a bit rough as the experience is better.

This place was awesome and free. Is simple but mesmerising to watch. Anticipation waiting for the waves to build and crash into the rocks. Just a good honest tourist attraction

Neat little place.. Not much else really.. little bit of a trip across the island from the main port for a 20min stop. Coming a from a cruise ship the locals here are really friendly they tell u to only take AU dollars but all save money if you pay in Tongan dollars also.. DONT TAKE BIG NOTES.. They do not have change. Cash only.

These were free to visit. These blowholes are magnificent, and, in my opinion, one of Tongatapu's top attractions. The magnificent waves create blowholes all up the coast and are a great site to behold. There are plenty of great vantage points for photographs, including a concrete platform where you can really get close to the waves.

If you're going to do any one thing on this island, I strongly recommend this. The power of the water and constant, yet different crashes and sprays were certainly something to behold. We only had about 15 minutes at the end of a tour and it was the clear highlight of the day.
