Saadabad is a perfect place to walk on Friday morning. You can visit the museums or just go to its cafe and walk around the palaces.

One of the most high class historical sites in Tehran. Very recommend. You have to see any Mansions and museums. This complex belong to the founder of Pahlavi dynasty known as Reza shah. He decided to constructed the green palace and white palace aka mellat palace for his heir to the throne. After Reza shah, The second Pahlavi king over throned and lived in white palace around 26 years. After building of Niavaran Palace his family and the king moved there. He decided to use Saad Abad for official meetings, official governing authorities and welcoming guests. This complex contains 12 places which are open to the public but there are 6 palaces that belong to the presidential leadership and of course they are not public. Every time I will add any pictures of the complex at different times. My name is Nikan Nazari. Please follow up my account at Instagram. ID: nikannazari1

Into a huge park there are some small palaces and museums. Park is nice , huge with old trees and shadow . There are colections for clothes, vessels, army, food, Farschian s paintings and buildings in which the last shahs lived.

A very large cultural complex which has a bunch of palaces, museums inside. We visited the car museum, the art gallery and the green palace. The complex is very large and you may have to walk a lot. There is also an internal cart/taxi service available which can be availed for a small price. Frankly, given the quality of museums and palaces spread all across Iran this place is at best an average place to visit.

The garden itself is such a lovely place. Full of old and massive trees. I was here in June and they didn't let us to walk in the garden after 5pm. You should either use the cage or leave the palace by their tiny buses which are for guests transportation

Saadabad Historical Complex is a cultural and historical complex located in the north of Tehran, Iran. It consists of several palaces, museums, and gardens, and covers an area of approximately 110 hectares. The complex was originally built as a summer residence for the Qajar dynasty in the 19th century, and later expanded and used by the Pahlavi dynasty. The complex is divided into several sections, each containing different buildings and attractions. The most notable sections include the Green Palace, the White Palace, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Natural History, and the Royal Automobile Museum. The Green Palace, also known as Ahmad Shahi Pavilion, was built in 1930 and served as the summer residence of Reza Shah Pahlavi. The White Palace, built in the 1930s, was the main residence of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and his family. The Museum of Fine Arts, located in the White Palace, showcases an impressive collection of art, including works by Iranian and Western artists. The Museum of Natural History displays a wide range of exhibits, including specimens of plants and animals native to Iran. The Royal Automobile Museum exhibits a collection of luxurious cars and other vehicles used by the royal family. The complex also features several beautiful gardens, including the Mellat Park and the Abshar Park, which are popular among locals and tourists alike. Visitors to Saadabad Historical Complex can take guided tours of the different sections and enjoy the rich history and culture of Iran.

The most beautiful place in autumn in Tehran! What an atmosphere it has! It's your best option when you want to enjoy the eye-catching colors of autumn. It's the best feeling when you walk around this complex and enjoy the environment. Also a great opportunity for photography. All the palaces and museums are beautiful and you have to visit them all so you don't miss anything. I recommend you to go among the trees which doesn't have a road. It's much queiter and more peaceful. It's a good feeling when you think someday the King of Iran used to be in this great complex. It doesn't get crowded at weekends but it's better to visit in the morning. You can also visit here in spring which is also nice but autumn is my favorite season 😊

I already described my exprience about this palace or musuem complex in Farsi! From my exprience, apart from the beautiful greenish sceneries in the whole garden, just green palace (kakhe Sabz) and Melat palace have worth to visit.

The palace is filled with buildings, libraries, and independent kitchens, each of which can be entered and explored, with beautiful green spaces adorned with tall trees and the sound of parrots flying above them. The excellent weather, coupled with Tehran's strategic location, has transformed it into an extraordinary place. If you visit Tehran, be sure to stop by here.

Sa'dabad Complex is a collection of museums of the Pahlavi period, which is spread over a land of more than 80 hectares (70 hectares of green space). Most of the buildings were built by the House of Pahlavi and are now on public display as military, clothes, dishes museums. I liked it's fascinating tall trees! Complete ticket price for Iranian people are about 50000 toman in August 2023.

One of the most amazing complexes i have visited, very nice and very large complex with many palaces and museums within its large gardens, and it has a very nice small river too, I recommend visiting it in spring when all the green starts and when the weather is at its best. Now the only negative thing is that in some buildings in the palace such as the tableware museum and the green palace where taking photos are not allowed, which is a shame because many people like to take photos and document such an amazing place, i hope that prohibition will be reconsidered, other than that i do highly recommend visiting this amazing complex that shows the extravagant life that the Pahlavi dynasty lived.

I love Saadabad. It's beautiful in its own way, but it's not being properly taken care of. It's a wonderful national resource, yet it's suffering from years of neglect. You can spend your day by walking through the natural gardens, visiting the buildings, the museums or exhibitions. As I was recently visiting Saadabad, I realized that people were mainly seeing it as a park rather than a historical attraction.

I wouldn't say it is the best Palace I have ever seen... it a pity how it is not well maintained... you can enjoy the visits to the museums... but pay attention to opening hours ... during the weekend the can close it at 5 pm :(... which was my case but atvleast I enjoyed walking the park and discovered abandoned buildings...

the famous saad abad palace complex, is a beautiful set of magnificent palaces located in the northern tehran district! lovely palace and a massive garden and jungle have made this complex a perfect destination for photography! The Iranian last and the only modern palace located in the north of Tehran, Many different Palaces and museums are inside with different things inside the most famous ones are the queen palace the green palace and the Omidvar brother's first Iranian tourists traveling all around the world also the miniature museum , military museum and .... this palace should be visited by any tourist who comes to IRAN. The palaces are relatively apart from each other, a little difficult to walk from one to another. There are many palaces and museums in the garden. You need a full day to visit all. Our tour chose only two : The green and the the white palaces.

A very large area in the north of Tehran with about 16 palaces and museums. If you are planning to visit, get there as early as possible because it takes a full day to visit it all. It's a bit cold in winter, so plan to visit in spring and summer

The cultural-historical complex of Saadabad is a 110-hectare complex in the north of Tehran city, which was founded and expanded by the kings in the Qajar and Pahlavi periods. This historical complex has several hectares of natural forest, along with several palaces, mansions, museums and numerous buildings, aqueducts, gardens, greenhouses and streets. This complex was built in Shemiran area, near Darband and on the slopes of Alborz mountain range. A wonderful environment for lovers of history, photography, travel, architects and nature lovers who have a wide environment to visit.

best season to visit here is spring and then fall tree leaves and the mist make it an amazing experience I especially recommend visiting Farshchian and Two brothers buildings besides the main green palace and others its so cheap for locals but for foreigners it may costs a bit much but it totally worths it!!!! u don't need to buy tickets in advance since there are two automated machines for tickets, you need to enter your ID number though plus, you'd better take a cap or Snapp cause there's no parking space there and if u drive there you'll have problems especially in winter

Remarkably limited experience. Don't expect anything more than a distanced glance behind glass walls at what's leftovers after half a century of plunder inside the palaces. Outside the main palace perimeter became a circus as it occasionally is being used for concerts. Just go for the greenery sight and a peaceful so you won't be disappointed.

It’s another Iran place in north of Tehran. The area is huge garden with tall old trees reminds the ambiance of the last king of Iran. There are different buildings of the place and each one like a museum shows the history of the king. For a short and quick visit of this amazing complex you have to spend half a day but for who have more time one full day is recommended. Weekend time “Thursday and Friday “ is more crowded than the others weekdays as many local visitors come to this place for visit and sightseeing. In some of National holiday the place is closed for visitors.

Tucked away in the lush northern expanses of Tehran, the Sa'dabad Complex stands as a testament to Iran's illustrious past and vibrant culture. This sprawling estate, with its cool, leafy ambience, transports visitors back in time to an era of royal opulence. As you wander through its palaces, now transformed into museums, you're enveloped in the rich tapestry of Persian history, art, and architecture. It's a place where every pathway and garden whispers tales of yesteryears, offering a serene yet profound glimpse into the soul of Persian heritage.

an area of nearly 300 hectares, of which about 110 hectares are made up of mansions and palaces, and about 180 hectares are made up of gardens, aqueducts and greenhouses of the Saad Abad complex. In the construction of mansions and palaces of the Saad Abad complex, a combination of European architecture and authentic and traditional Iranian architecture can be seen, and the design of the palaces has been done by the most prominent domestic and foreign engineers. This place is undoubtedly one of the best cultural places in Iran.
