After Mellat Palace, this green Palace is one of the most beautiful buildings in Saadabad complex. The building was mainly used to receive foreign guests and as the residence of the foreign dignitaries on official visits to Iran during the years of monarchy. The interior design is truly beautiful.

Reza Shah was living in this palace, It was called 'The Green Palace", From here he could saw every sections of Tehran and interesting point about here is Reza Shah always sleeps on the floor and in his time the King's room had not any bed, after he moved then his son located a bed in there.

stunning architecture and royal resident for Reazashah the founder of Pahlavid dynasty. amazing mirrorwork, beautiful green stones and thats why they call it as green palace. You were not allowed to take pictures inside but now you can do it without flash and no video recording. the scene of balcony is great. do not miss it.

The Green Palace is located at the northern end of the complex, thus offering beautiful views from its terrace. I loved the atmosphere and light in the park, but wasn't too impressed with the buildings. The green marbles are beautiful though. Be aware that the entrance fee can get quite expensive, as you have to pay for each building separately.

Green palace or marble palace was build in Reza Shah's reign. It's extraordinary and luxurious. I can't explain how beautiful it was. Taking pictures or videos was forbidden inside.

Beautiful and simple place. Reza Shah used to live there. Quite nice and charming with a georgeous view. But since it is on the top west side of the Saad Abad complex, be sure to enter from the Darband entry or take the electric cars that take you staright to the palace, other wise it ia quite a climb to reach it.

It's a little extremely luxurious old and antique palace combining themes of colors, Iranian style of ceremonies and a palace of Reza Shahs, many inspirations from Versailles, and also dolma bahche palace. It's lovely I suggest to take some time here, stand a moment and admire the mirrors walk around the building and stuff.

Daniel Madah: Shahvand Palace or Green Palace is located on a high point, in the northwest of Saadabad complex. This palace was originally a half-finished building that belonged to Ali Khan Hakim (Governor) and the hill on which the building was located was known as Ali Khan Hill. Reza Shah, after he bought the building located on this hill from Ali Khan, built the current palace and its construction and completion lasted from the time of his war ministry to the beginning of his reign (1301 to 1307 solar years). This palace was built with the efforts of Iranian artists and architects, after seven years of work, in two floors (basement and ground floor). Reza Shah used the ground floor as his living and office and the basement as a storage. Also, a luxurious dining hall with decorated and carved tables and chairs, as well as exquisite porcelain, ceramic and Italian silverware was used for ceremonial reception of guests.

it is so beautiful My tickets are very cheap Its interior does not have many parts to visit, but it is better than Golestan Palace in terms of the things inside the palaces. But the outside is also very beautiful, especially in autumn

I guess it's a must see while in Tehran, but it is very small. Not much too see. The shah had a bad taste is what we learned from our visit. Every building requires a separate ticket which makes it too expensive for what it is.

the fact is if you are plan to visit thus museum and you want to enjoy your time forget weekend and holidays. because the problem is it's not a museum it's the old palace and old building which of course was luxury at the time but it's not designed to have so many people inside, and it was only maybe 30 people inside this building not so crowded by Iran standard but it was useless. to top it of the only view you get was from an open door to a room which was full of furniture and dishwares and it was protected by some thick glass, so imagine the view! there was no tour guide available at the time of my visit and again no photography allowed in this place too, I talked to one of their staff and she explained it's because all the mirrors the flashlight from the camera will hurt these, even if so it should be flashlight not allowed not the cameras and photography. don't get me wrong though if you visit here at the right time during the week which is not filled by kids and mom's and only people who are truly interested and understand these it would be a good experience, the Items were available for show definitely worth spending some time with. if I was in charge I would raise the ticket price up to 10 maybe 20 time to solve this problem, because it's not a park for gid sake!
