This place has been under construction for over 20 years now and still is not fully done. A vast area in the heart of Iran's capital which is supposed to be dedicated to mass Friday and Eid prayers. Even at these events it hardly ever is used to its maximum capacity. Still to this day it remains mostly unused as the weekly Friday prayer's are mostly held elswhere. The government has forced the much loved annual Tehran's book festival to move to this location which is the only time most people may visit here.

In 1361, the initial measures for the construction of a large mosla began in Tehran, and the land in Abbas Abad area of Tehran, which was considered for the creation of the Shahestan Pahlavi urban complex before the 1957 revolution, and is located next to several main highways in Tehran, is a suitable area for the construction of this mosla. was chosen In the letter of the late Hashemi Rafsanjani and Supreme Leader of the Revolution to Imam Khomeini (RA), he wrote about the problems of holding Friday prayers at the University of Tehran and said: "I request you to allow the amount of one million square meters of the mentioned land between Shahid Beheshti Street to the north Most of it was enclosed with the approval of the municipality and it is at the disposal of Mosla to be allocated to the building of Mosla and to the extent necessary on the Qibla axis from the north for other facilities. It was in this way that after the necessary investigations that came to the notice of the Great Leader of the Revolution, on 23 November 1367, Hazrat Imam Khomeini (RA) wrote in his response to the construction of the Tehran mosque: "Basme Ta'ala" God willing, you will be successful in building the mosque of Tehran in building the vision of anti-blasphemy of Muslims. At the same time, the simplicity of the mosque should be a reminder of the simplicity of the place of worship of Muslims at the beginning of Islam, and the splendor of American Islamic mosque buildings should be strictly avoided. May God confirm all those involved in building mosques of Allah. Ruhollah Al-Musawi Al-Khomeini, 23/8/1367. In 1369, one of the plans for the construction of this mosque was selected and the construction work started after that, and it was placed as a place for people's daily traffic for recreation, shopping, education and the exaltation of the soul through religious rituals and a center for religious and cultural gatherings. It became the main system of the Islamic Republic. The designer and principal architect of the project is Dr. Parviz Movid Ahed. The main axis of the mosque plan, which is the longest axis of the plan, is in the direction of the Qibla, and all the buildings follow this axis, in the direction of the Qibla or perpendicular to it. The mosque has 14 flowerbeds, 12 courtyards and 5 entrances. The height of the large porch of the mosque is 72 meters, according to the number of martyrs of Karbala, and the height of the dome of the Jame Mosque is 63 meters, according to the number of years of the life of the Messenger of Islam (PBUH). Mosli has 7 domes which were designed under the influence of the architecture of Iranian domes in different regions of the country. The main dome of Mosli is one of the largest domes in the Islamic world. The 5 main entrances are named after Bab Rasulullah, Bab Amir al-Mu'minin, Bab Fatima al-Zahra, Bab Imam Hassan (AS) and Bab Imam Hossein (AS). In the complex of each entrance, there are two garlands, a porch and a dome with different architecture and buildings. The number of garlands in Mosalli collection is 14. The two current garlands are the tallest, which are unmatched in the Islamic world. The height of these garlands is 140 meters and inside the garlands, spiral stairs are designed through which the elevator passes. The large porch between the Jame Mosque and the main garlands is designed as a shell with a height of 72 meters and a span of 110 meters. The design of this porch is innovative and innovative compared to the architectural types of porches in mosques. In Mosalli complex, many ponds and fountains have been used to refresh the environment. Mosli Central Pool has an area of 3000 square meters. Also, in the design of Mosalli collection, green space has a special importance, so that in different parts of the design, green space is considered to create a gentle and relaxing environment.

Absolute monstrosity and one of the ugliest buildings in Iran. It has spent decades under construction and still looks ugly. The Pahlavis imagined this area as a beautiful green space that the people of Tehran could gather and relax. Instead there is this monstrosity dedicated to a man that hated Iran.

Well accessed by metro and other public transport means. Sanitary facilities need better attention. Access for disables are provided but in some areas, wheelchairs should go a long way to get access to parking, washrooms or praying areas.

A great collection of great events in the city of Tehran, which has a great connection to the metro station. Of course, there is still a book fair and some other venues here. There is also a great green space and a great place to relax

I went there for book exhibition. I can't say it was good. Negetive points :The lack of direction signs wasn't negligible. If you're visiting Tehran as a tourist I absolutely do not recommend visiting this place. It doesn't worth your time. As a local I had a very hard time to find the places I wanted to visit and books I wanted to find, even though I had searched for directions in the exhibition's website. Positive poins: I could visit the Chinese books section, and I admit I had fun trying to communicate in Chinese with Chinese people. I also bought some good Chinese books with a considerable amount of discount.

Wow what a big an glorious place. Although it's created for saying prayer and a place to resting in peace as the tome of ayatollah Khomeini the iran revolution supreme leader. One of the places that tourists choose to visit. Sometime some special fair being held such as book fair... . There is more to say but you should see it yourself while you are traveling in iran.

I think they will destroy it before it is finished Now that's out of place Only exhibitions are held there Get off the Beheshti subway Do not get off the Mossali metro It has a lot of space, both in the area and inside the buildings, and you will have a walk

A huge project that started in the early 60s and continues until today. Each time, a huge budget was allocated for its construction, after which many contractors came and went, but most of their lives progressed to this great structure. Anyway, every year, various exhibitions, especially book and Quran exhibition, are held in this place. Of course, a few years ago, decisions were made to hold these exhibitions in a place other than Mossali; Because following these exhibitions, it would create a lot of traffic and disturb the residents of the streets and neighborhoods around it. As a result of Aftab exhibition city in the south of Tehran, Behesht Zahra neighborhood was established; A relatively good geographical position for which several accesses were created. On one side, there is a metro and bus station, and on the other, a parking lot with a large capacity for visitors who come with their own cars. But the exhibition was held there only once or twice, and following the protest of the exhibitors, the holding of the exhibitions returned to its homeland, Mossali, Tehran. With all these interpretations, we hope that this project will be completed several years earlier and we will celebrate its opening together! Submitted pictures related to Lili Qadr dated 01/24/1402
