Dheeraj sir's yoga classes are very effective and he works on fine details and perfect asanas, he makes us push our limits so that we can better understand our strengths and weaknesses. The ambience is very nice and the place is very positive. My husband too has joined the classes and I have seen the transformation over the months. Dheeraj hot yoga class is a cult where he is a self-claimed guru & his clients are his devotees. Acc. to "Guru" Dheeraj, when u enter his class u should leave all ur knowledge (that u acclaimed throughout ur life) outside and enter as a zero . (His exact words) Form day 1 , I had told him about my sciatica problem. But he still made me do a few asans that are supposed to be avoided &it aggrevated my pain. Later , I only had to confirm from a doctor what all I shouldn't be doing. This could be due to his lack of knowledge on the subject. Whatever he says whether right or wrong u have to accept and believe like blind monkeys ! If not, u r disturbing the discipline of his class. Rude behaviour, hopeless communication skills, illogical/argumentative mindset where his opinion should be takes a gospel truth. Too many insecurities & a touchy ego if any of his irrelevant/regressive Gyan is questioned. Unprofessional & rude behaviour with most of his clients. To my surprise they take his insults comfortably & justify it by saying that it's his nature. Does not understand that he is providing a service for a cost like any other service provider. He conducted a guided meditation & sets the background music to very high. I could not focus since he made me sit in front of the speaker, so I turned the volume down. Instead of asking me not to do that politely ( because apparently it disturbed the discipline of the class) this 'yogi' rudely chooses to tell me that why I get pinched by little things &that if I knew so much I should guide the class myself. I politely told that the volume is not suiting me to which he made hand gestures which meant I talk too much. SMALL MATTER THAT COULD HAVE BEEN DEALT WITH POLITENESS LIKE A TRUE YOGI ,THIS MAN CHOOSES TO BLOW IT OUT OF PROPORTION. During the meditation where I could not focus due to the volume, he spoke of mindfulness , stability,which he himself lacks he asked a question that has anyone ever sat like this ? I thought of sharing my experience of meditation so I replied that I meditate every night . To which he again made the same hand gesture & said in a condescending manner that people who meditate don't talk too much. When he insulted me again for no reason, that pushed my button. Still trying to hold my calm I told him politely that he talks much more on irrelevant topics, to which he answered that he does even not meditate. Maybe that's why he does realise that what should be the frequency of music while meditating. Therefore, he likes to preach what he does not practice. If u want to save ur money, time & peace of mind , avoid this 'Guru' This gentleman has less of relevant things that u paid for & more of unnecessary /I'll informed opinions which u cannot question . Very autocratic & narrowminded
