The infrastructure is pretty bad. The road at the entrance is a mess. But the doctors are awesome. The hospital has a bus stop right beside it and is easily noticeable from the main road

Went for my infants vaccination,the previous patient before us was a child with eye infection,i was reluctant to enter the room for vaccination since i was afraid of my baby getting any chances of eye infection.After a day my baby developed symptoms of redneness and pus in his eyes and went to opthalmologist for immediate care and treated wisely.The reason for catching infection was from nurses who give vaccination to my baby who was reluctant to sanitize thier hand after an infectious patient,they turned infectious people for my baby on this regard only one request is kindly considerate at least infants when you are on duty.

Good hospital. Therefore it is very crowded.

The old government hospital at Varkala was upgraded to taluk hospital a few years back. Originally there was no specialist doctors. Consequent on upgradation specialist doctors are also provided. More over More more infrastructure came into existence. For the people especially economically week it is really a boon. At the same time there is always hue and cry regarding short falls and complaint about staff and doctors. Anyhow service is round the clock.
