The food (especially their Margherita Pizza) was excellent! Their service is horrible! They seemed very friendly and accommodating as they lured us into the restaurant. However, they are very rude and quite frankly don't give a damn. Then came out bill. They charged me for an item that we never received. They charged a 10% service charge which is fine. But on top of that, they charged another 10% for the tip. A horrible experience. Do NOT eat here!

Just like the other people said, there was a seafood pasta dish. The amount that you have to pay for the dish depends on the weight of the fish, well our total somehow turned out to be 100 euro's. The servers will be waiting on the main street waiting for tourists, so look out for them and avoid these people at all costs! The food turned out to be disgusting too as they brought us some old prawns which really did smell bad. I told them about this but they didn't do anything about it... As you come in, the server will also bring you these snacks called focaccia Bianca and he will tell you that these are on the house, however after looking at the receipt in the end, it turned out to be something that you need to pay for. The servers will constantly come up to you to try and serve you something else. For this price I could've eaten in a luxury restaurant with 3 Michelin stars...

I’m not sure where these other people dined but our experience was phenomenal and the staff and owner treated us as family. The pizza and the breakfast were delicious and priced below the other restaurants in the area. We eat there four different times. Stefano, thank you for treating us with such respect and great humor. You are truly a representative of Roma. Last but not least, Thank you maestro for the great piano and singing performance. God Bless. Updated: After reading most current reviews I’m wondering have they changed management because it’s been over a year since we were here. Disappointed if it’s changed for the worse. ☹️

The food was ok, but the server tried to rip us off. First of all, he presented the check and specifically stated service fee not included but when we asked what’s the servizio shown on this receipt at the bottom. He then said only the restaurant getsvit and not him. We were appalled by the attempted scam because everywhere we read about Rome is that tips are optional and not necessary. He was not very friendly after we left without leaving additional tips. While we had fantastic experiences at all other food establishments so far in Rome, this place definitely does not represent most restaurants establishments in Rome. Stay Away!!!

Total rip off! Do not go in. Everything on the menu is 9 to 12 Euros, but the "special" is 60 Euros?!? And there was nothing special about it. My worst dining experience in Italy.

Amazing atmosphere, it is friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious! Our hotel is good ways away from this restaurant, but we made it a second time. I will always look for this restaurant whenever in Rome.

Just the facts The polite young lady said it was her first day so a lot can be excused. 1 seated at table for 6 when go up is 7, EXCUSED. 2 Not knowing the menu EXCUSED 3 asking for ice and coming back with 6 empty glasses after 10 minutes? 4 Bringing pizza with prosciutto when cooked ham was asked for? 5 Bringing turkey pizza in replacement? 6 chefs comes out to bring beer to other guests and tells us NO PROSCIUTTO COTTO AVAILABLE? 7 two little cups of ketchup. EURO 0.60? 8 A sandwich of prosciutto and mozzarella was missing the prosciutto? The girl insisted that the order went in correctly. Did I forget to say I went to the bar to get the ice from the bartender MYSELF? ONE STAR IS 2 MUCH IN MY BOOK.

I don’t know why the bad reviews but I really enjoy this restaurant is cheaper and you can eat authentic Italian food. I was so desperate for a soup and they have it ! The service in general was so good ;)

Tourists rip off! We wouldn't recommend eating here. We had different pizzas and pasta. Parts of the ingredients were not fresh and the food for Italian standards not very tasty. But the worst part was the service. We had to wait forever and the waiter was outrageously rude. At the end we were charged more than 20% tip (>20€) - for probably the worst service I had in my life. (The waiter added extra 10€ to the bill handwritten.) In addition, we paid 10 € for an alcoholic beverage (the price was not in the menu), which consisted almost entirely of ice cubes. (I don't even need to mention the toilets' conditions).

This restaurant totally ruined my impression of Rome. Dishonest and rude waiters, normal food and enforce 10% tip in the end. They have changed the name to Ristorante Cucina Italiana. Please don’t go.
