Cafe Bistro

👍👍 The waiter was very attentive. The food and the pastries were fresh and the coffees were cold, just what you need in this 33° weather. It was not overly expensive and it was air conditioned. There are also seats outside and it's possible to take-away also. I would highly recommend it. People often mention coffee, Vatican, great, nice, pastries, recommend, good,

Amazing place near Vatican! Perfect coffee, best cappuccino ever, great vine and really tasty food! We eat piadino - thin Italian flatbread with different ingredients, we eat with tuna, grilled vegetables and meat and provolone cheese! It was very fresh! Staff was very friendly and helpful and prices was low! Really highly recommend place !!!!

We definitely splurged in the morning before heading out for the rest of the day because all of the food looked delicious! The staff was extremely patient; and friendly. We left a few of our belongings at the restaurant and the employee came running after us to hand us them. There was indoor and outdoor seating, along with public restrooms. They had coffees, cakes, macaroons, etc! This cafe is only minutes away from the Vatican (walking). If you are in the area, I definitely recommended

Mukava kahvila Vatikaanissa. Otimme Limoncello spritzit ja cannolit. Ja kyllä. Hyvää oli. Palvelu ensiluokkaista. Tarjolla oli sekä suolaista että makeaa.

The place had the best coffee during my trip to Rome. Also, when you ask for a medium sized Americano, they actually give you a full cup. Yet, the coffee is not diluted because of the additional water. The coffee maintained its strong and bold flavour. This is where I would return if I were to go back.

Nice coffee place. Offers sandwiches and desserts. Not bad to take a break from exploring the city under the cool breeze of the air-condition.

Really nice little cafeteria with a lot of kind of pastry. All looks amazing. Only minus is the bathroom could be cleaner.

What a great find after a walk around the Vatican City. The pastries were delicious and so much choice! They had a rosé beer which was very nice! Kids and adults alike enjoyed our visit.

Wonderful little cafe a short walk from St. Peter’s basilica. The cappuccinos were amazing and the assortment of pastries was extensive. I highly recommend anything stuffed with the pistacchio creme.

We ordered two desserts for takeout. Tiramisù was so delicious. But unfortunately I can’t say the same thing for the pistachio cheesecake. It was really dry and not fresh at all.

I have been there several times in Rome. The place is very well located near the Vatican and other attractive places. The service is excellent. Martin, the manager is always very welcoming. Highly suggest it.

Nice relaxing place to go for some breakfast after an early start to see St Peters. The pastries are of high quality - recommend the apricot croissant! Lovely freshly squeezed orange juice aswell 😊

Great place, we would definitely come back as tourists in the city if we would accommodate closer. It was super close to the Vatican, we could quickly come here for a quick bite before the museums. The Aperol spritz was great along with the toasts and piedina (in the picture). Kind waiters!

Delicious coffee! I didn’t like the cake (too sweet) but maybe it depens on what you prefer. Nice service :))

They really popped off with the playlist. Pastries and cappuccinos were good. They had soy milk 💛

I’ve been all over Europe the last few weeks, and this was the best coffee spot for me. You don’t want to miss this shop. I got a vaniglia frozen cappuccino and it was so delicious. Kind, attentive guys working the front as well. Thank you :)

Nice Coffee & pastries. Staff were nice but it was slightly overpriced - particularly the cofee. Beside St. Peter’s so obviously targeting tourists. Worth a visit.

If I could give it ten stars I would. The food was amazing, the service was exceptional, can't recommend it more. I did not get the waiter's name but he went above and beyond and I hope he gets a raise!

In short: high rating is most likely from fake reviews, very high prices for table service. I would call this a tourist trap. Extremely high prices (five Euro for an Americano when served at the table). The fact that the place was empty and all the people were sitting at the place next door should have been a clear sign not to order anything here. I went to the place so my daughter could have breakfast, while my wife was queing to get to st Peter's, because of the good reviews (most reviews are from 1review profiles, so most likely fake). Got a call from my wife telling me to hurry up and ended up having an espresso "al banco" (at the counter) and a pastry to go and only ended up paying €1.20 for the coffee and 3 Euro for the pastry (no wonder why the waiter insisted for us to sit as soon as we arrived)

Nice place just next to the Vatican. The staff is very friendly. It took a while to get our order, but it was worth it. You should try the pasticcio cheesecake.

Great place to sit and refresh. Had a great time with tasty italian coffee and delicious panini. Must mention very good staff. But coffee without small cup of water was a one small flaw.

We visited this place twice and the desserts and coffee were amazing. Great place

Coffee was great, but pastry was not so great. Way too dry, sweet and even stale. This was the best option though after a long tour at st. Basilica.

If you are around the Vatican, stop at this place, great food and service! Also, very clean and posh facilities.

Don’t believe the hype on this place. The menu is disgusting. The pastries taste like they made them weeks ago. They are way too sweet and hard. Look elsewhere. Honestly very surprised there are good reviews here. Another thing to note is there aren’t any Italian staff. This place should be ashamed of their menus and the pastries they offer !!!

Location is top notch, few steps from the Vatican, perfect to get something to eat/drink after walking through the church. Staff super nice and friendly. Special thanks to the manager Martin, who is always attentive to details, impressed by how he knew by name all the regulars and talked to all the tourist. Their cookies are amazing! Bought a bag to bring back home. They also make a mean Aperol spritz. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

🫤 RUDE TO ASIANS. Gelato here is incredible with so many flavours to choose from! It’s a gelato heaven from fruit, chocolate and my favourite hazelnut flavours. Be prepared for a little queue but it’s well worth the time. Staff are not friendly. The lady cashier in particular, was outright rude. Sh...
