Ambience was too good… it was so pleasant and calm… Breezy and was able to enjoy the dinner…. Golden fried prawn was good… Grilled calamari was bit chewy… the garlic sauce was good…. Burnt garlic chicken noodles was delicious… the noodles were thin and was not like usual ones… Pork ribs with sticky rice had a different flavour… very soft and the sauce tasted good… Mock tails and cocktails were good… Basil cheese cake was lip smackingly delicious… Except for the calamari, loved everything we ordered…:

I visited this restaurant along with my friends. Best place to hangout with friends. Anyone who prefers to taste Pan Asia food, then this is the place. We visited on a Saturday and heard this place is crowded during weekends. Most hyped and slightly overpriced. Best sea view and cool breeze on top. Corner tables are reserved for those who bill more than Rs. 5000. Food taste is mind-blowing 😋😋😋😋 and service is good. Limited dessert option. Elegant, classy, Romantic and a bit crowded. Its a walk-in only mostly. Unless you are cleaver with words. The place is easily one of the best view dinners in Pondicherry. With the lighthouse on one side and Indian ocean on the other side. The food is top notch, if you know what you are ordering. Best time to visit is just before when the restaurant opens up around 6 pm, Though its mention 6:30. On weekends the place is already full by then. One of the must places to dine in the area.

The ambiance is good, but you need to wait for sometime to get seats here as reservations are not made here. Make sure to take a seat near lights or you might not be able to see what you are eating. The food is delicious but overpriced definitely.

Atrocious starters, pathetic service, cramped place with poor cross ventilation due to double height glass facade on parapet wall as if people are waiting to climb over and jump, poorly planned with trembling table and chairs.highly over rated and over priced. One of the Worst music system have ever come across in a 5 star.needs desperate make over in every field.

Great rooftop bar and restaurant. Awesome view with Hindi speaking staff. One of them is Bengali too. And English speaking also. About the dining, good food and a great place for spending time with close people. We also brought our one and half year old baby so we didn't stay long but enjoyed the time.

Had a great birthday dinner. The four course menu was a great option to try all varieties of food. The ambience and view was great. Staffs Mr. Paneer, Ms Thanu and Ms Rubina were all super sweet, courteous and helpful by all means. Thanks for a great experience.

3 stars coz after all the fantastic breeze and lovely location and yum sushi and dim sum… the bill burnt a mega hole in my pocket when compared to the quantity of food I ordered. The general feel of the place isn’t anything close to a 5 star but the prices are very 5 star! A simple mocktail…basic strawberry lemonade was a ridiculous Rs. 325. We also tried the basil cheese cake which sounded like it would be delicious but left quite a bit as it was just toooo sweet. The veg Sushi and veg Dimsums were great though. Among the servers Aswathy and Venkatesh (bar person) were cordial and efficient. So overall 5 stars for service and location, 5 stars for some dishes, 3 stars for others and 3 stars for the overall experience.

Barely any view at night, so try to go while the sun is still up. Food, service and ambience were good. Price slightly on the higher side.

We walked in on a tuesday evening for dinner and didnt need to make reservations. The ambience is absolutely breath taking - the rooftop with dim lights, pleasant breeze and the view of the beach. We ordered a pad thai noodles and mee goreng. Pad thai noodles was on the spicy side. Mee goreng had shrimp , fish , chicken and egg and was good. Parking is a bit of a hassle as the parking spot was quite a distance away. Great place for a cozy candlelight dinner.

Most talked about Resto Bar in a rooftop. The wait time is more and it took a solid 45 mins to get a seat. The menu options were limited though they adhered to take personal Requests. We had pad Thai noodles , tomyum soup , Indonesian prawns and some mocktails. The food was pretty decent but 3 of our family had severe stomach pain after the food and we spent our time in pondy resting than holidaying.

Nice ambiance , rooftop view of the beach.Had a nice experience having dinner with a beach view and a cool breeze.Cocktails were priced well but the wine was expensive- 500rs- 1000rs for a glass of wine, could have been cheaper, found the same glass of wine(1000rs a glass) for half the price in Villa Shanti. The food was amazing , had shrimps for starters,red snapper fish and Chicken for main course.The taste was amazing, portion size is between okay and good, quality wise is amazing. First come first serve and had a limited number of seats, arrive early to avoid disappointment as the wait time can be long. A bit on the expensive side. Was around 4600 for 2 people. But given the ambiance and experience it was okay.

The view and the vibe of this place is really amazing! Although it's very difficult to get the table there cause it's always full and the waiting lists are long especially in weekends, so if you are planning to go there plan accordingly! Also about the food, i found it okay for the price we are paying! It's over pricy.

Another great place in Puducherry yo have meals. Probably the best Pan Asian restaurant. A little hyped but yes it is overpriced. Best sea view and cool breeze on top. It is one of the restaurants of the famous hotel Promenade in Puducherry. Dinner here will be the best option for a cool breeze and sea sound. During day you will see the sea for miles away. They have a dedicated corner for smokers. Service is prompt. A must visit and highly recommended. ..... ;)

Priya's customer handling there is very professional and friendly. Food is awesome. Let's talk about the place. Very good Ambience and peaceful as it's very near to beach and also a roof top restaurant, you can feel the sound of waves and enormous air which calms you totally and felt relieved. Food tastes really good but quite expensive. At the end totally a worthy place to spend with your loved one or family

It’s on the 3rd floor. We went for dinner and the wait time for 2 was around 35 minutes. We were offered to checkout their live performance at the basement which had happy hour cocktails until 8:30 pm. The food was great, bits of all Asian options. We ordered the chef 4 course non vegetarian and loved it. Although we wish the main course dragon mutton was more authentic but tasted average. The experience and the ambiance was cool. Service was prompt and friendly. Special Shout out to Shanwaz who went beyond with his service. Thank you.

Its a restaurant with beach view. They serve Thai cuisine. Staffs were friendly. Slightly crowded. There was no option of table booking. Amongst the things we tried we liked chicken satay ( has flavors of peanut) with peanut dip and Stir fried minced Chicken with chilli garlic and basil.

Nice place on the rock town beach. Rooftop restaurant with beach view. Busy place they have other options as well at the ground floor. Ordered red Thai sea food curry with jasmine rice, seafood noodles. One of my kid wanted to have french fries but they dont serve it at the rooftop. The staff was very helpful and she got it from the below restaurant. Also ordered shirley temple a non alohlcolic drink. Thai red curry with rice was awesome. Overall a very good time spent though a little expensive.

Let me begin with the ambience - stunning. It faces the sea as well and you can see the lighthouse and the moon shines over so it's simply amazing. Coming to service, getting a table here is a task because the last two times I went here, I was asked to wait for over 45 minutes but luckily this time it was 10 minutes. The food was really nice but service was a bit slow as well. Everything we ate was nice and no complaints!

It's a rooftop restaurant at a hotel. I ordered a grilled fish with korean sauce, it was great. Chilling time with ocean view. The staffs were friendly and helpful. Soft music flowed, candlelight gave it a romantic ambience

Bay of Buddha is much hyped as the place to wine and dine in Pondy. While the ambience is good the food and drinks are okay at best . We ordered the bay of Buddha iced tea which should be as potent as a liit but wasn’t . In food we had the chicken yakitori which was okay , pad Thai which was good and the pork ribs which was again okay . In summary we went with sky high expectations which were deflated

It’s a sea facing rooftop restaurant, the food was great, calm and quiet ambiance, perfect for a get together. The only thing that irked me was the waitress came upto us right after we finished our meal and were having a conversation and say “should I get the bill?” It was quite impolite and the approach was not right, yeah, that was quite unwelcoming. Will avoid this one whenever in Puducherry. There are many amazing restaurants so I wouldn’t recommend this.

Bay of Buddha One of the elegant and classy rooftop restaurants in Pondicherry. Its inside the posh Promenade. Mostly crowded with foreigners , this place is an instant hit with the tourists. Its overlooking the shimmering waters of Bay of Bengal on one side and lighthouse on the other. Had a beautiful lunch by the sea. We had mostly pizzas 😄. We had Sourdough Margherita Pizza which had Mozzarella burst, tomatoes and fresh basil. Also had Mojito Chicken Pizza , Teriyaki Chicken Pizza and Halloumi veg . Everything seemed good but ut definitely pinches the pocket hard. The showstopper was Bay of Bengal pizza the ultimate seafood variant which had squids, fish , cream etc. Do try this. ♥️ the ambience. My verdict : Ambience and decor :5 Food :4 Value for money :4 Service :4 📍 White Town, Promenade

Amazing vibey rooftop venue of the hotel I was staying at. Being here along the ocean I had to try the local lobster. It was fantastic, sweet as expected(it was on the menu). Very well prepared, slightly spicy. Good service standard and great cocktails from the bar. Really good experience.

Bay of Buddha was a delightful experience & a half in terms of fine dining. Be it the music, the immaculate service by Rubina & Asin, the lip smacking delicious food or the fantastic drinks, I'd highly recommemd you to visit this place. Situated on the 3rd floor of Promenade hotel, the venue has a fantastic open terrace ambience. 5 star 🌟 worthy place! My recommendations: Sushi veg platter, veg dimsums, Thai green curry and Jasmine rice, Basil cheesecake, Shirley temple & Bay of Buddha ice tea!

Staying at the promenade makes a trip to this highly recommend spot a mandate while in Pondicherry The ambience is the highlight of this place especially during a sundowner and later to have a candlelight dinner We did the same but was not particularly impressed with the food The food is okay and is nothing special when compared to some other amazing cafés in white town Also, the place is brimming with people which increases the turnaround time and the service times. Visit the place for the ambience but you will certainly find better spots in white town for food

Only visit if you have a lot of time up your sleeve. The food takes a lot of time to come to your table. On a rush day, it'll take you hours to get a table! The food is good though and the sea breeze is an added advantage. Don't forget a covering cloth during nighttime if you easily catch a cold.

It's my 7th year in Pondicherry And this is the first time I've visited BOB Man!!!! It's freakin amazing It's cheaper for such a good ambience and food. Of course it's costlier when compared to normal hotels but this is very cheap for a high end restaurant And the food it's such a delight to have here I personally recommend " Thai curry with Jasmine rice ( veg/ non veg curry) They have the perfect authentic cuisines.
