It is not enough that the hotel is old and outdated, also barely renovated. But it’s dirty, as in the bathrooms still have the remnants from previous guests-used soaps, hair and ..don’t make me say it. The carpet has stains from an unknown origin and there are not complimentary slippers in the rooms. We found some used medication in the night drawer and a cap from a water bottle on the floor. Highly incompetent staff on reception. You get one towel for the duration of your stay and you have to beg for toilet paper. The bread in the restaurant had green spots.

One of the typical examples of communist style grandeur in architecture, the place looks like a crazy architect's dream that came true in the form of epic quantities of concrete. Unfortunately, the place suffers from VERY poor management. They don't seem to realize what reality is: most of the hotel and surrounding facilities are in very poor condition, still the prices are very high. The room per night price is probably highest in the city, and still you have to pay for everything extra: parking, coffee (awful), etc. Would not make the mistake to visit it again. Needs a completely new management and policies in order to become as grand and epic as it was designed to be. Has the potential to be a top-destination, but only potential so far.

The hotel is very old and the stars must be 2, not 4. Apparently it hasn't been revovated at all. The walls and the carpet had stains, also there wasn't hot water and it was cold in the room. Do not recommend. In addition, the service is terrible and slow, the dishes were dirty

A very large, somewhat tired hotel. Rooms were clean but showing their age. Breakfast left a little to be desired - the hot food barely made it past tepid. The car park entrance was manned by pretty much the most unhelpful security guard we've come across in Bulgaria when we visited. Views over the River Yantra are probably the best in town.

Although this place has a wonderful view and potential, our stay here was terrifying! No hot water, only double rooms, food left from the previous gest on the balcony, no light in the room, on breakfast: dirty dishes, no forks, dirty tables.. The receptionist kept all the documents if the gests without taking care of them - the result: lost IDs, actually I could of pick some without any problem. The coffee was awful and we had to find another nearby. Actually I don't like negative reviews, but this experience was so stunning..!!!
