A pleasant surprise since we decided to go out for dinner on an impromptu basis. A friendly and professional Roman trattoria, but at the same time welcoming and familiar. I didn't think I'd find such fresh and refined fish in a village in the Castelli Romani. My compliments to the chef. We will definitely return to try the typical dishes and the pinsa (given the other positive reviews). Thank you!

I have been to this restaurant several times which I know very well and I would like to express a precise and objective evaluation, which very often I do not see in many reviews. It is located in the ancient village of Lanuvio, easily reachable even during a trip out of town. The place appears clean and the staff friendly. Sala Director Mauro Conti is always attentive to customer requests and ready to satisfy them. The menu (obviously I recommend the good fresh fish) is very varied, thanks to the imagination of Chef Giorgio Conti and his wife Maria Grazia, I always take the fish first courses (leaving vent to the Chef's imagination), excellent, and then continue with others delicacies cooked by one of the best chefs in the area. Excellent wine list (possibility to choose local organic products) and good desserts (made by the Chef's wife). A very positive note that no one has highlighted are the timely responses to the reviews given by the owner of this place, this demonstrates total attention and respect towards customers and a desire for discussion and growth. I want to post some photos of a preparation that the Chef made on the occasion of an Ancient Roman Cuisine Event, demonstrating how varied and full of research and study the cuisine offered by this restaurant is, which I believe is the best in the Historic center of Lanuvio.

Let me start by saying that I am always frank so I'm sorry but I had other expectations! The place is very nice, the staff friendly, but the food is not worth the price... strozzapreti with wild boar ragout without flavor (it tasted like stock cubes and wine) and ESPECIALLY WITHOUT BOAR. (two small pieces per plate)... ..so-so gladiator starter...I hope we chose the wrong dish and that the others are better...

Place is overpriced and the food is not that tasty - my salad was bought in the supermarket and French fries was not cooked fresh but also bought from the supermarket frozen, and for pasta for 10-12 euros you would expect something delicious, but not, it was quite plain and not even very tasty.

If you're in the area, this is probably the best restaurant I've had the pleasure of having lunch in so far. Don't be fooled by the external appearance, unfortunately, being perched on the hill of a small village and hidden at the end of an alley, the first impression you get from the outside is not the best. What immediately catches your eye once you enter is the peculiar taste in the furnishings of the place and in the choice of background music, combined with the brightness of the place, it seems like you have gone back in time to a convivial room of a Roman domus. The waiter (or owner I don't know) was impeccable, being both very courteous and attentive in his service and in making you feel welcomed. The starters and first courses were excellent, just the meat of the sliced mushrooms could have been better, the prices are €2-3 above average but compensated by the quality of the service. Overall an excellent restaurant to spend a relaxing Sunday as a couple.

Excellent, comfortable and good traditional cuisine very much derived from a traditional family environment. Superlative Pinsa, small but welcoming environment. To be transparently advised.
