hindu worship kavue. Mannanpurathu Kavu (Chathayamangalam Temple) Mannampurathu Kavu, also known as Chadayamangalam Baghavathi Temple, is filled with trees in the centre of the town. The temple's history is related to the notorious Mannan and his assassination by Mannampurath Baghavathi. The temple tells the story of the migration of Nair families to Nileshwar from the South. They invited a non-vegetarian priestly class to do the rituals of the temple. During the Pooram festival a large number of devotees come to the temble and worship the Thidamp and get the blessings of Kavilamma, Eruvattachan and Mailittachan.

Very bad experience. Temple premises were unclean. There were lot of waste dumped inside the Kaavu.. Please clean the temple at least during Navarathri days..

The ultimate God is mother nature and Kaavu blends both nature and divinity into one! Serenity and peace at its best. The natural vibrance and green diversity is well preserved around the Kaavu which adds to the charm. Kalasam is the most important yearly festival here. Fridays do have special significance and people from all over the place visit and can get busy during the ucha Pooja. Highly recommended to visit, if you are in Nileshwaram.

A very powerful temple I've been told. The temple definitely has that positive energy feel when you step inside. It wasn't busy when I went, so I cannot comment on how the service is on a very busy day. On a quiet day I must admit the service was good and the pujaris came across as very genuine.

Disappointed that the sacred grove is maintained badly. No efforts have been made to give details and significance.

The Pooja at the temple starts between 12:45 to 1pm. If u are offering any seva to the goddess them be available by 12:15 to 12:30. If you are offering Mahapoojaa or Balipooja then u can go inside the temple and have a look at the Pooja from a very short distance and looks very good. Also you get positive vibes when you visit this temple
