This beautiful square is always lively and full of energy. Very good quality street concerts often take place spontaneously. Campo Santi Apostoli is located at the beginning of the Strada Nova, which leads from the Rialto area to the Santa Lucia railway station. The square is rich in beautiful palaces and above all the beautiful church of Santi Apostoli. It is said that the church was built in the seventeenth century after the twelve apostles appeared in a dream of San Magno and ordered him to build a temple in their honor. On the campo there is the palace that belonged to the traitor doge Marin Faliero who was beheaded for trying to become the only lord of the city. It is said that the house itself, rich in various paterae and the weapon of the Falier family, was then given to the furrier who discovered and denounced the doge's conspiracy. Now on the square are the catering facilities "Trattoria da Bepi", Confectionery "Gelato di natura", and the excellent Osteria dal Riccio Peoco.

Amazing CAMPO (square) where a part of a Catholic Church is "houses embodied". The campo host in his centre a tree ๐ŸŒณ (not common for Venezia!).

Just for the olives (if you are olive lover like myself), and the market nearby, this square is really nice place to take a "pausa" from you day to enjoy the best ice-cream "Gelato di natura" in Venice, and to enjoy a nice spot of town.

5 stars just for the little locals bar that's open late for a nightcap. Dal Riccio peoco. Mad, lovely, brilliant.

Venice is NOT the idyllic place its portrayed as. Its seriously crowded. 36 Million visitors a year visit Venice. Forget trying to find authentic Venetian food, nearly all the restaurants are owned and run by foreigners. Up to 8 euro for a coke. There are NO Seats to rest on.
