If you're planning your vacation in this resort then think twice because, booking a standard room in this resort is of no use which costs around 6k. Instead of booking a standard room here, I would suggest some other resorts. Everything is chargeable, you would get a better resort room in 6k. Think twice while spending your hard earned money.

Pathetic experience with this place. The property is huge. When we booked this place, we were expecting a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Our experience was so bad that we even thought of checking out and going to a different place They day we checked in there was a convention going on in the same property. The place was so over crowded that I couldn’t find a parking slot in this private resort property. I felt like l was on some streets of bangalore. I couldn’t use any of the facilities like pool. It was a total waste of money. Moreover the rooms did not have towels and the toilet exhausts were not working. Talking to the property manager was no use. They said they couldn’t manage the crowd from convention. They should not be accepting booking from guests when property is given out for big conventions. Don’t spoil ur guests vacation

Surely not 5 star as mentioned. Cutlery were not ceramic or steel, plastic cups were kept in the room for coffee & wooden ice cream spoons for stirrers. Similarly, plastic plates in the buffet. Breakfast spread was decent and taste was fine. Kerala cuisine dominates the spread which is good as people would prefer it given the location. Overall property appears old, doesn't seem to have renovated. Doesn't worth 7K per night, but can settle for 3 - 4K.

The only thing in this hotel which matches that of a 5-star "resort" is the price - the price of the rooms and the food. Booked 2 standard rooms for 7k each which turned out to be rooms worth only 4k at maximum. The food which you get from here, including the complimentary breakfast, is just ridiculous, and that too priced at unjustified rates; there are two hotels outside near the main road which serve food which is much much better. Would never recommend Vythiri Village "Resort" to anyone.

It was a nice stay. Property is well maintained. Don't go for a standard room, service is ordinary. Go for a cottage or pool villa. The cottage property is very beautiful. Easily accessible, just 1 km from the waynad main road. Complimentary buffet breakfast is worst, there are many options in breakfast, but none of the food is tasty. They need to improve.

Not sure how this resort got a 5 star grade. Extremely average. Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety but not a single one was even average. I have never tasted such dry and burnt dosa. They were not able to handle the crowd and most of the time ran out of cutlery. The first day there was a live egg counter which was shutdown the next day. The tea coffee counter had cups on day 1 and from the next day they shifted to glasses which was very difficult for me and my daughter to handle. Even after raising this with the staff they ignored. Please do not visit this resort

This resort is highly disappointing with zero vibe of a so called 5 star resort. Not sure on how it maintains it's 5 star rating. We took a Pool Villa and the rooms look extremely old. The overall room cleanliness and rest rooms were below par and poorly maintained. The central building looks like if it was build to be a college. Poorly maintained with fungus and dirt all over. The common rest rooms stinks, the wash areas in the restaurants were extremely dirty. Looks like they are understaffed and haven't done any renovation in ages. Swimming pools had too many broken tiles and it resulted in an injury for one of our kid. The food was just average. The buffet spread in 3 star restaurants are richer and better. This one had no 5 star quality. Overall it was not at all worth the 18k per night that we paid during the weekend.

Highly disappointed with the hotel. We booked through app where expectations are not reached at all. No where it’s 5 star hotel. With this price range we can get well maintained rooms. We spent around 16k per 2 nights, Food is damn expensive. Only positive note was it’s huge property apart from this no positive notes or services. Rooms are pathetic than regular service apartment with bamboo trees/ junk yard view. Two days same spread of breakfast with average taste. Total 4 families stayed with same kind of experience.

Poor experience. They're using 3 cabs to transport people to 300 rooms. Had to wait 45 min. They treat customers differently, some given priorities, better rooms for same pay. Better places and better options around

Standard rooms are not suitable as per the room charges. If you are vegetarian then it's not for you. Very rare to get outside food. This resort doesn't have a good menu for veg food. Room service is not good. Other than the standard room , all the rooms are good and in a good location. Nearby activities are good.

Please don't visit this place if you're looking to relax and have a good time. The service is hopeless for the price being charged. The breakfast buffet does not have people to refill the food. There will be no milk, bread or even fresh omelettes. Also, most of the staff don't respond since there is a language barrier and the resort does not seem to be interested to rectify the situation. To get one item, we need to ask multiple times. The music in the evenings is very loud and we cannot even hear ourselves talk. The prices for food is ridiculously high. Charging ₹400 for one plate idli. The only saving grace was the ayurvedic massage which was very good.

It's average resort claims itself to be 5*. Location is very good, descent ambience. But, rooms are not great, dusty and windows are not cleaned probably for years now. Could have been better for it's advertising and marketing

My colleagues who chose this resort for team outing had been theft and the irresponsible management nicely escaped without any compensation. As a person from Wayanad, friends and colleagues often asks me suggestions for good resorts. Now I’m not just moving this resort out of my list but would also advise to stay away in case if they were planning.

This place has amazing service, atmosphere, views, and activities. The location is hard to get to but is very beautiful. This place is perfect for 2-4 day vacation with your family and friends.

Kind, friendly and always smiling staff. Reception and Housekeeping were quick to respond and act. Room was good but could have been better for this price. Buffet options could have been better. Overall a good experience.

Good service but not at all worthy of what they charge. Highly expensive food( 2 chicken biriyani cost around 1200 in room 😂). We didnt feel like staying in a resort rather felt like old flat with poorely maintained gardens and zero view. If the cost of stay were 1500 per night, i would reccomend this property.

Hospitality and service: The people that work here make all the difference. They are so welcoming and make you feel at home, whatever downsides observed at the resort are all zeroed coz of the people that took care of us. Right from the security staff, reception, room cleaning and servicing, cab drivers and everyone else are just exceptional. Rooms: Cottage comes with - a decent sized hall with seating, a big bed room with a king size cot, a work desk, attached toilet and a utility room with seating. It is spacious, looks like new smart features in terms of switches added recently. Wifi was slow initially, but improved eventually. While you have hot water, observed that the flow of the same is intermittent when using the shower. Cottages are away from the main hotel area and restaurant, guests are ferried in vans whenever needed. Food: Both breakfast and dinner buffet spreads are good. Not exceptional or exceeding expectations, but you can expect typical buffets at hotels of this range. Property and proximity: The resort is very much in the vythiri town, not secluded or in a very scenic spot, but you don't feel that inside the resort, they have built a lot of interesting spots within the resort to spend time and enjoy. This is a big property that is ideally situated to many tourist spots in the area. The live musical nights organized on Friday and Saturday nights are splendid and a present surprise. Final verdict: Recommend for stays with family and friends.
