My wife and I were visiting here using ONDA, which is a membership service that gives us access to clubs and work spaces all over the world. It requires pre approval from the club and a reservation. After two and a half hours of sitting by the pool, chatting quietly together, we decided to go to the bar to order food. An employee approached us and asked if we were the ONDA members. I replied yes. She then proceeded to YELL ‘you need to get your clothes and leave right now!’ In the middle of the dining area. The entire place stoped and stared. I politely asked what the problem was and why we were being asked to leave. The employee would not answer me and would only repeat ‘get your clothes and leave.’ The other guests were very concerned and a few even approached us to ask if we were ok. We still have no idea why we were thrown out. It was the most disrespected I have ever felt, I regularly patron much higher end clubs than The Griffin, and have never had an issue. If The LGBTQAI+ community is unwelcome here, then you need to have a statement on your website.

As a Tennis Member for little less than 4 years I have many regrets for joining and paying a 9K membership fee. Many reviews before mine should shed some light on this club. All the amenities that were once standard are no more. Coffee Service, Ball Machines and Free Live Ball clinics on the weekends are gone. This year they changed ownership and management. For the past few months, it has been virtually impossible to reserve court time as it been taken by the Club to give private lessons and group clinics. Having reserved court time in advance, I've have had my court cancelled an hour before my game, as they needed my court for a private lesson. I see new Management as all talk and no action and as a result I will take my family elsewhere. Having memberships at SCLA and Braemar CC membership has its privileges. Unfortunately, this club is profit driven and will always do what is best for their profit margins.

This place was awesome. Although I was just a visitor... if I lived in LA I would make it my home. The staff was amazing and efficient and the food was nice. Just a great environment

The facilities are immaculate. The service is impeccable and the staff warm, gracious and incredibly accommodating. We cherish every moment we can spend there. I can't recommend the Griffin Club enough.

Held my engagement party this past weekend at the Griffin Club and it was fabulous -- Christine Noriega-Roessler is the director of special events and was AMAZING! From the first meeting, to the party, to the follow-up after, everything was fabulous. The food was spectacular, the staff was so pleasant and on top of everything and the setting is so fabulous. Can I have every party here?! We will be back ASAP!

The best thing I have done in my time in LA was to join the Beverly Hills Country Club. You can overdose on tennis to your heart's content. The club will pair you with other players whenever you want a set or two. Saturday and Sunday mornings you can just show up and be assured of getting in two to three hours of doubles. The staff are overwhelmingly friendly and work hard to please. The health club facilities are second to none.

Visited as a guest. Beaitiful facility with really nice tennis courts. Club is under renovation and will be even nicer when finished. Great location. Everyone was very friendly. Returned last night for dinner. Bar food menu was excellent and food really good. Cocktails really good. Even grandchildren had a great time! Club is tennis focused but the is a good exercise room with good equipment and weights. Children's play area.

I'd give this club 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that it is overrun with kids. OVERRUN. Its Google blurb states "Griffin Club is the ideal place to get away from the everyday," but if you're a parent and your "everyday" includes kids this is not the spot for you. It is also very expensive and I heard a rumor they will start charging an additional fee for the classes. On the plus side it is gorgeous. Especially now that the construction is almost complete. But I'll be ditching my membership if they add more fees to the high rate and they don't get a hold of the children factor. Not worth the money or the headache when you're trying to get some laps in.

I initially got a membership for tennis and they lied to me about having quiet spaces and tennis program for older teens. I went to the club to get work done and all I could hear were children shouting and screaming. When trying out their “older tennis teen class” (supposedly with 17,18 yr olds) it was actually filled will 11 year olds…and was told that the only other tennis class option was a live-ball session with older men…The initial fee was 2,000 before even paying for the membership…def not worth it unless you only go in the morning or are a mom with kids that need to be entertained…It feel like your at a children's play park more than half the time and the food is mid for the amount you pay for a membership.
