One of the underrated places in vizag. As it is not much far, easily accessible and within the city limits, people can self drive to this place. There are two routes to reach here, one is through Narava(longer route) but this route helps you to drive your vehicle upto the view point, other is through Naidu thota(shorter route), you need to leave the vehicles at the railway crossing and walk for 500mts to reach this place. And yeah, this place is worth exploring! Swimming is not suggested here as the depth is more than 50-60 ft. Early mornings or late evenings during the weekdays make the perfect time rather than weekends.

Early morning time is the best to visit this place. Here, people can perform various activities like swimming in the lake, jogging outside the lake, yoga , etc. A floating solar plant is also located nearby. If you are following google maps, then be advised you have to park your vehicle before the railway tracks. You have to continue on foot from there.

Beautiful scenery and cool and pollution free climate. Nice Place to Hangout with families and friends for the day time (upto sunset). After no street lighting is present. And the Dam entrance used closed after sunset (by duty staff) It's open to all. No tickets or any type of charges. It's free access. No shops/services available like food, drinking water, Toilets etc. All have to carry on your own. No four wheeler access up to Dam via Naidu Thota. However cars can be parked at Andhra Cements and walking to the dam is possible. Fourwheeler road from Narava is uneven and not fit and worth it for personal cars. Two wheelers are most suitable. Weekdays very less people. The weekend is too crowded and the bachelors and Family picnics used to happen. Finally it's worth watching. Prefererbly clear off by sunset.
