It's always been my dream to eat at a home restaurant, and honestly, it DID NOT disappoint. I loved everything from the beautiful landscapes to the rustic, wholesome home and their cut little dog. Alba was very accommodative, kind, gentle and her husband as lovely as herself. The food was just so incredibly YUM! Of course mainly Italian inspired but little hints of French influences on the plate, of course Alba's husband being french himself. Well done! Not only that, I was the last customer at the home, and they offered to drive me ALL THE WAY back to Como station and what an experience! One of my favourite parts of my trip, and when I get to Como again I'm trekking up to that beauty for sure! Grazie La Casa di Alba.

Delicious. The food is incredible. The hike up added to the experience. Beautiful setting. It’s a steep 30-45 minute climb from Torno to the top (wear comfy shoes) but 100% worth. Some of the best desserts I’ve ever had. YUM

This was one of the finest meals we had in Italy in many years! The hosts welcomed us with kindness and warmth. The food included many ingredients that were made with produce from the farm. Each course was carefully curated in perfect combinations and sequence. The flavors were subtle and delicate, but could easily switch to bold and profound. The atmosphere was more charming than any other place around Como. We also did the hike from Torno, which was incredible and rewarding.

If I could rate a place 10 stars or more, this would be the place! We undertook the long hike up, wondering if Google led us astray, but finally made it! We showed up unannounced late on a rainy day and despite this, were warmly greeted. The service and food was terrific, affordable and the pets are a nice addition (including the parrot that said "ciao" to us as we left). The host also went above and beyond to accommodate and help us back home. We will definitely be coming here again in the coming years :) thank you again! (P.s. don't say no to the homemade gelato!)

If you will leave your car at the end of Via Tridi road (the one the Google tells you to follow). And after couple of minutes of walk, if you will ask yourself is it worth the hike through that mountain path up and up and up which is not on Google Maps anymore, my answer is - yes! The reward is absolutely mind blowing! First of all the dopamine, cause you reached this place. And then the orgasm you’ll feel through your and eyes and then through taste receptors! Absolutely remarkable place! 👌 There’s another way to get here as well. But maybe next time 😅

We had a truly amazing and unique experience here! The food is incredible, paired perfectly with wine and a calm atmosphere. We felt welcomed form the first moment there. Each course was perfect and was made personalized for us. Albarosa and her husband are sweet, genuine and most welcoming hosts.

A steep climb to this hamlet above Torno but getting to Alba’s farm and tasting the lovely home made food was all worth it. Very welcoming and all natural/ organic products used in the delicious lunch. Credit card accepted which was a bonus. Great views and experience.

It was not a dinner, it was an amazing experience! We left Torno and hiked for 45 min. until we reached a small beautiful village in the mountains. In case you will ask yourself if you are going the right way or if its worth it, yes it is! The house is very cute and cozy and the atmosphere that she created is extremely relaxing. Albarosa is a very welcoming and nice host. She made everything so we can feel like we were guests in her house. The food and the wine was soooo good, that we forgot about time. Albarosa and her husband drove us in the middle of the night to our car, which helped us a lot. I loved the experience and invite everyone to visit Albarosa and her husband.

If there’s something that you need to put on your to do list when you visit Lake Como, make sure to include Albarosa’s amazing home/restaurant. The trek up is not for the faint of heart so make sure you have your comfortable shoes on. The experience of dining in albarosa’s house was definitely one of our top 3 highlight this trip. The food, all home cooked, was sooo good and definitely one of the best meals we had this trip. The house is cozy and warm, and most importantly, Albarosa is the hostess with the mostess. She is so warm and friendly and even volunteered to drive us back into town after our meal. Grazie mille, Albarosa and we will definitely be back again the next time we visit.
