the food was so amazing. best steak i had in my life. the atmosphere was really cute and it’s pretty cool for a romantic date.

Pleasant surprise this place. We had tapas and it was lovely. Every dish tasty and well presented. Only reason why I didn't rate it above a 4 is because it was a little scruffy outside and no music. Service was good enough but not much friendly engagement from staff.

As always....the best food, prepared and presented to perfection. The snails were so expertly prepared, I almost finished it before remembering to take pics! The hake was divine - juicy and perfectly coated and seasoned served with fluffy mash and smooth lemon butter. The lemon grenadilla cheesecake was beautifully presented and just the right size. Great and efficient service by the waiter making sure this was an absolutely delicious afternoon!

Four kitchens in one restaurant. So everyone can have something to choose from. The food is good and the service is great. I always stop by when im in Kenya. I had the butter chicken. It was fantastic.

1st experience at Urban Eatery. Booked a table for 4 and got seated. The atmosphere is great! Two of the guests ordered platter for 1 per person. Waiter brought food and left, no squid heads were added to any of the 2 platters, eventually when the waiter came back and we enquired were we told they don't have have and was apparently given extra calamari. We had a varity of Tapas but the problem came in 2 guests ordered 1 buffalo wings R90 and 1 crumbed mushroom ls R65. When we got the bill did the waiter add 2 buffalo wings and no mushrooms, when I asked him for a corrected bill did he tell me oh i billed two wings instead which obviously costs more, I asked for the bill to be corrected but was brought a menu to work out the bill correctly myself. Very unprofessional, make sure to double check your bill!

This review comes from a very old customer not a new comer. Your service quality especially the food quality like the burgers have really gone backwards. I say this not to insult you but to allow you to think it over and improve it as customers are now starting to say things like its not as good as it used to be. I get the burger special but no butter no sauce just a tasteless compressed piece of mince with a lettuce is not really a burger. Please go to voerkraal order a burger eat it and then go back to the drawing table. Guys my last 3 visits was met with under par food and I wont be returning soon

Headed here for breakfast but fled after coffee! Welcoming at the door was very stiff. Table cloths had stains. We ordered cappuccino but they had no cream. Coffees arrived with half the coffee spilled in the saucer. No apologies. We decided to rather have breakfast somewhere else. Won’t be back.

Absolute horrible service and food. Waited 20min for waiter to take drinks order. 10 more min for menu, 20 min more for drinks. 15 min more to order. Then we waited between 45 to 90 min for ice cold terrible food. Some people were finished eating more than 30min before other people even received their food. We didn't send it back because we were scared to wait another hour. I only had one beer because the waiter never brought more even after asking multiple times for more. Still waiting. Absolute horrible experience.

This used to be me and my husband's favorite restaurant. But had bad experiences the last 3 times that we were there. Every time we go back to give them the benefit of the doubt. But last night was the cherry on top and I will never go back. Got a fly in my food, prawns over cooked, and all that was said was sorry. A cat begging for food at our table. No thank you this was the last visit ever.

Had a terrible experience at Urban Eatery tonight, made a booking a week ago for valentines, on the outside, first the booking was wrong, they wanted to place us in the garden by the play area, I refused, they shuft us into a corner table, with a leave hang right in your face. Then had to go and asked for a waiter, order cherry ale, they said not available anymore, asked for a slushy as ons the menu, not available, I asked her why is all still on the menu? Then order a water, at least they had some.. My husband ordered a beer. We saw that there was no control, so we immediately ordered the platter for 2,, had to ask for side plates, that was not clean,I had to clean it with wet wipes, the cutlery was also not cleaned properly.. The waitress did not bring us sauses and appetizers as usual, when I asked she said it's to busy, they are not serving it tonight. The seafood platter was really dissipointed, as we had it many times before... Lack of management, training and overall service, use to be our favorite place to go, guess we'll just find another restaurant.. Urban Eatery use to be our first choice, but not after tonight.

I really enjoyed the food . But please make plan in using another strategy on removing 🪰 outside the trees . But everything was on point . I'm coming back

I have had the pleasure of calling Urban Eatery my go-to-favourite restaurant for the past 2 years. I can confidently say that it has become more than just a place to enjoy exceptional food - it is my home from home. From the minute I walk in, there is a warm and inviting atmosphere, that goes beyond every delicious meal I have had there. I've celebrated birthdays there, I got engaged there, and nothing has been short of memorable. It is the prefect place to unwind after a long day and spend time with loved ones. Thank you Lindsay and Paul and your incredible team! You guys are amazing!

Urban eatery was great, even though it started off a bit shakey. With not carrying out the things I had requested the previous day when I went to have breakfast and see the venue to give specifications. But when it came to the food we were served if ever you want to have a dinner for a large group, a cosy date night or brunch with friends[I've done all three] it's the place to go! Once the food was served all was forgiven they provided a great service. Try it out you won't regret it...

I enjoyed the food, however my friend was served a waffle that was not so fresh. The service was not bad but there's room for improvement. The anesthetics are not giving. The place can do with revamping. We were sitted next to a large group of people who were extremely loud that we could not hear ourselves speak.

We regularly eat at Urban eatery, during crazy busy times and quiet nights. We have always experienced service with a smile and great food. This has become my favorite spot to take friends out or for a nice family dinner. Tinashe is our waiter most of the times, he has come to know our likes and dislikes which makes hs feel really special. Thank you for the amazing food and atmosphere at all times

The food Looked good on paper but was decent at best. My mother's wings came cold and our food was too greasy. We ordered tapas and pizza. The prawn tails were average, and so were the mussels. However the atmosphere was a vibe. The atmosphere carried our experience. It is a good place to have a drink and watch the game, but not for a dining experience.

Excellent service received. Great atmosphere and delicious food. Worth a visit. If you like pasta, try the Alfredo

The service was slow because we had one waiter serving 20+ people and when we asked the manager to get 2 waiters, we just someone else. The buffet was limited but their food tasted really good 👍🏾

First visited here when we went vegan in 2021. there was not too many options for us besides focaccia and chips. visited here last wknd and was surprised to see some new veg additions/options. We indulged in dessert and it was 👌

The atmosphere is good and the waiters are very friendly and they constantly chec if you need anything from time to time… the food ? I give them a 100 %

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant...! On the 28-01-2023 the cycling club I belong to in Durban, visited this restaurant, and we all had the various types of pasta dishes and drinks, the meals and services were satisfactory...! However my partner and I went there the next and I ordered the lamb shank, it was the worst lamb shank I ever was served, it was hard as a rock, I complained to the manager and he said to me that's how they prepared their lamb shank, I had to pay for it and I gave it to the parking attendant...!

Can't really complain about anything at this place. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere. The place does lose a bit of seating should it rain but other than that, a must visit if you're in the area.

Great food and service, just don't like the one waiter that keeps on making jokes, that you can't have something or he doesn't want too. I'm all for fun and games but it's a bit annoying because he doesn't stop and he does it woth every single table he serves 😅

Urban Eatery boasts with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. This is a very high-end restaurant with scrumptious selections of food on the menu. It is a bit pricey but the quality of service makes it worth it. Thank you for always serving your customers with a smile.

Had a wonderful and cozy evening. The service was impeccable and so were the food and drinks. The menu is reasonably priced as well. Ample parking and there is security which puts you at ease. I'll definitely be recommending this place and visiting again soon! 👍🏾

Very dissatisfied with the establishment. It's a slow service. I was taken aback to learn that once you place an order, it cannot be changed, even if you haven't consumed what you ordered. For instance, I requested an appletiser, but the waitress brought it 15 minutes later, and I immediately asked for a cocktail (which cost more). I was informed that since they cannot overwrite, I will still need to take the appletiser. I've never had such an experience, and I won't be returning there.

Celebrated my 30th birthday here with my partner and I have to admit, it was 1 of my best birthday ever! Although wen we 1st enter, the waitresses were a bit "somehow" or rather not welcoming... IDK, maybe it was because of the colour of our skin 😢 😭 but after that everything was to die for! The lady(i think she is a shona lady) who came forward to serve us for the day was surely a darling...The food I give it 10/10 😋🙌 from all the food we ordered..oxtail, chicken, linguine,Greek salad, and pizza EVERY dish was super delicious and we will definitely call again.

Urbans never fails to dissapoint. I have hosted many functions there and it is always top notch from the setup to the food and service. Definitely the best in the Vaal.
