The Leonardo is the ultimate residential, conferencing and lifestyle location on the continent, with a collection of bespoke restaurant and entertainment offerings, the elegant Isabella Conference & Event Center and a unique 50 piece art collection on display in the public areas.

4stars for the amazing view. Service was horrible, waiters seem angry and take wrong orders. The presentation of their signature drinks 🍹 is great. Live band is awesome. Food didn’t taste nice other than that I enjoyed sightseeing this exceptional tallest building in sandton

Rooms and location were the only things close to 5 star about this hotel. Concierge was also excellent. Otherwise it’s Overrated for the money spent. Even the alto bar was not all that. Front desk customer service leaves a lot to be desired. There’s a guy who acted like the owner. He added a 500 rand hold on my account because I borrowed an adapter worth 100 rand to charge my phone. Lol, ok boss I live in the states what need would I have for a South African adapter worth 100 rand? I left it on the bed but he had to physically see it so I had to go back just to get it, after all it was made of gold 🙄. After your checkout, They’re stingy with the Wi-Fi so if you’re a guest with a late flight departure I would suggest you go somewhere else to spend the rest of your day if you need to work on your laptop. Breakfast is nothing spectacular. I doubt I will be returning here in the future. My friend stayed at the The Maslow down the street and I did a brief tour of it. It is more than half the price and they seem to offer their guests more.

Booked well in advance for New Year Eve dinner only to be told on arrival that we had no reservation. No real attempt was made to accommodate us as we were placed in the middle of an isle. After making a complaint, we were moved to a side table which was no better. After all this, we were then told the price per head and introduced to a very underwhelming menu which did not justify the cost. Will not be going again and would not recommend.

Booked in advance, took my card details. Didn’t say we needed to pay on arrival as the credit card details should have been deducted. My brother went to collect the key, paid for the room then was told the person who booked must sign after 40min of waiting. They couldn’t have told us before hand then we didn’t have to wait. Shocking service. Headless chickens them

A stunning hotel. I made a last minute reservation and my family and I received the best service. The apartments meet all expectations in terms of cleanliness with a modern style. The restaurant food is exceptional. We were fortunate to get a booking at the roof top bar. The views of the city is amazing. We will definitely be back.

Great hotel apartment concept. The apartments are huge, modern, super clean and extremely well equipped. So of you want to cook you have it all. Also great location to the shopping mall and businesses. Security is great too and the 7th floor restaurant has a great menu with great food. My only complain is that breakfast is not buffet but alacarte with limited choices. Use the 7th floor guys and give us a buffet setup and you will have me as a permanent guest when I come for business trips. Great gym but room for improvement with variety of equipment. The Alt234 57th floor restaurant has great views and some of the best tappas I have ever eaten. But it's pricey with very limited space.

If you pass by sadton and u just wanna try something different, try this outlet. It has a lot to offer, from different restaurants, bar and lounges , and really enjoyed my time there....

Everything else was excellent except the breakfast morning experience from the Aurum restaurant !! It was shocking the poor service received from waitresses. The alactate breakfast took 50min to be served. The food was served cold. On asking the two waitresses, that did not help either. We requested to see the floor manager to addresss our concerns to them and yes the manager also took forever to come. Pathetic service from such excellent infrastructure

Views are great, rooms and hotel are tastefully designed. Beautiful and sleek. Spa reception needs work. Poor etiquette and not trained to be friendly or hospitable to guests. There was abit of broken glass at pool, I got a minor cut but thankful that it was not my baby. Life guard was friendly. Restaurant stand at pool not that good, lady insisted pizza oven only opened at 2 and refused to assist with a coke 10 minutes before 12. Fine no problem, but the pizzeria was actually opened. She enjoyed telling us no for anything that was asked. Felt abit like being in a government hospital. Breakfast.. omg.. 11.46 and have just been served. I came at 8 this morning, and had to come back.. so so slow

The most shockingly disgusting service, the pool umbrella fell and hit my girlfriend on the head. She was in massive pain, they took zero accountability and said the best they'll do is call an ambulance for our own account, the manager on duty Tyron Wyeth really has no regard for safety or the we'll being of guests. There was broken glass by the pool side which we just missed to step in. The restaurant also dropped our food and their best answer is they won't charge us for the food on the floor. We spent a lot and got injury and excuses for our visit. I don't recommend a visit at all. If something goes wrong you will not find any assistance, not even an are you ok? Or an ice pack. Pathetic.

I had such an amazing stay at The Leonardo albeit for just a night. Their staff are all very efficient and friendly. The luxury suite was everything I expected and more. Their service is next level, and I had the best cocktails at Aurum as well as the most divine breakfast. I didn't get to do Alto234 due a private function but definitely on my next visit.

Checked in at the Leornaro on 8th October, front desk service was excellent, but the room wasn’t! TV wasn’t working in the rooms, there was no kettle, no room service menu(which I requested and was never sent to my room), when I kept calling Maintenance and complaining, eventually they decided to change my room which was a massive inconvenience

We had a fabulous stay at The Leonardo, certainly a beautiful Hotel and wonderful Staff too. Thanks for the luxurious treatment. Aurum restaurant really ought to improve on their welcoming and friendly customer service, this lacks. The atmosphere is beautiful nonetheless

Booked for 1 night at this hotel. Has been my 6 year olds dream ever since it was built. The apartment is stunning, modern, beautiful finishings. The views are absolutely spectacular. However the biggest let down is the service. Especially at the dining areas. Booked at Aurum restaurant and it was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had. Waiters/waitresses are extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. Ordered a starter- plate of chips for my starving children at 18.10 upon being seated and requested it please be brought out for them as soon as it was done but after 55 minutes no one bothered to help. I probably asked literally 5 waiters but none returned with an answer. The 6 waiter then advised they were going to only place the order then. After hearing that we took our starving, really unhappy children to a nearby restaurant and was served happily and efficiently by the waiter. Secondly the balcony door in my room was either not properly installed or sealed as the loud howling of the wind prevented me from sleeping the entire night, as well as the loud music from the club at 24 central. There was no turn down service- which is a standard at every 5 star hotel. There is no dedicated room service as the calls revert to reception. When asked for a change of towels at 7 pm was told the linen room was closed. The breakfast- food was good however once again we had to wait a while despite being the 2nd group there. There was a single person there before us. Breakfast starts at 7am however, tables were only being set from 7.30. There is no rush to serve guests or to make them feel welcomed. Staff need to either be trained to understand that this is a service industry and that is their job to be hospitable. Failing which there a many out there who would do anything for a chance at a career in hospitality. Unfortunately due to the pathetic service at Aurum and overall I would rate the service a 2 star. I have stayed at 5 star all around the globe and this has by far been the worst. I would be happy to discuss with the management of the establishment as it would be a shame that after all the time and effort that's been put in to build this hotel that it is not being occupied by its full potential due to the poor service aspect.

What a terrible disappointment! Where do I start. Check-in poor. General service is poor! Rooms have a great view but that’s about it! Location is also good. Feedback: -reception explains nothing during check in -no bell service to help with luggage -elevators don’t read room keys well -rooms are outdated (even though hotel is relatively new- cheap finishing, especially in kitchens) -bathrooms stinks from drains -Aircons don’t work properly had to call maintenance -called maintenance to sort out Aircons + drains took 1 hr -was told to combat bad drain smell I have to pour water down drains -no bar fridge. Called for water - took 1 hr with turn down service -after 11pm no in room dining or service - had to ask staff to get an Uber to buy water for my room -second bedrooms door couldn’t close it was stuck! -bathroom doors can’t lock -bedding is cheap- this is ridiculous (no plush at all) -not a great quality bed either -called reception (0001) & room service (0100), phones just ring! -Staff are extremely unfriendly -we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite … next to the front door is what I assume is a sewage pipe (enclosed) all you hear all day/night is water running! -room service gets brought to you like takeaways which is so weird for a “5 star” establishment -Spa doesn’t have any facilities (no steam room or sauna). Basically just a changing room -hallways smelled of curry -reception + elevators don’t have a pleasant odour I cannot believe this. Ridiculous! What an utter disappointment! Absolutely absurd at this price point… 5 star for Africa maybe - definitely NOT world class! If you want to spend R10k+ per night on a room, I suggest go elsewhere

It's great hotel. Did Kelly khumalo's party there. Loved it even though one of the cleaners gave us attitude when we go there.

BEWARE, don’t stay at this establishment unless you want your valuables STOLEN. The housekeepers and servers are money hungry and will go through your items looking for money to steal. My money was stolen by one of the staff and the hotel management did NOTHING about it. They usually wait until you’re about to checkout before stealing from you so you won’t have time to investigate. BEWARE!!
