Good experience. Easy to get to. Parking was free. Tickets were 9 dollars for adults. Took about 1.5 hours to walk the area and go through the museum. We did walk away to the North as well so the total time was about 2 hours. The top has a ladder which wasn't bad. We did sign a waiver. All in all a great experience. With a nice view. Displays in the museum are well done.

We went here for part of our family vacation and everyone loved it! We were able to go to the top! We also got our lighthouse passports stamped as well. Great experience. There is also trails in the back of it to go for a walk.

The lighthouse gets 4 stars for the history. The house itself is beautiful however we left disappointed of the view. If you don’t care for the history, save yourself some time and look at it online and drive up and down the coast for better views.

we sadly visited on a day where the museum or visiting center was closed and weren't able to visit inside. we only had a few hours to spend in milwaukee as we spent the day visiting from chicago. the lighthouse is a bit smaller than i expected but i'm sure it has played an important part of the town's history.

This is a pretty cool lighthouse. Its great to take photos of and it can be very photogenic too. It looks especially good against a blue sky. One neat thing about the lighthouse is this little square place you can stand on. Then there is a round metal object that will show your image with the lighthouse behind you. This allows you to get your photos with the lighthouse if you are alone and don't have anyone to take your picture. I have used the device in the past. Still most people walk right past the lighthouse. I think people who live nearby are used to it and see it all the time so its not really a popular location...or it wasn't today anyway. During summer and autumn once the trees get the full set of leaves, you won't even be able to see the lighthouse from down on Lakeshore Drive. During the winter you can see it because the trees are bare...but you need to know where to look. You can't go inside it or anything. You just look at the outside. There is an informational sign nearby and there is a hiking trail near the lighthouse too. A ravine trail. You can see the lighthouse from the trail down in the ravine. I really didn't spend much time here at the lighthouse...just long enough to take some photos as there really wasn't anything to do and I wanted to explore the entire park.

Beautiful lighthouse with majestic views! The museum has limited hours and was closed during our visit. Historic houses across the street was exciting to see.

Great time visiting the North Point Lighthouse on a Sunday afternoon. John the tour guide was super informative and open to answering questions despite us not being on a formal tour. Had a wonderful 20 minute conversation about the lighthouse and history of Milwaukee. It's great that they let you climb the lighthouse tower. Would recommend wearing good shoes since the highest point requires climbing a ladder. Gift shop prices were very reasonable. Mostly street parking but it wasn't an issue finding a spot.

Beautiful location. Plan to spend at least two to three hours here. The lighthouse is very well kept up. It's very clean. All the way around the gardens are beautiful. The have walking trails around the lighthouse beautiful bridges lions on the gates, cherry trees that go into bloom absolutely beautiful. The museum, it's totally worth the tour. You learn a lot about the lighthouse and the history of it, and it's absolutely beautifully put together all the way around five stars. I can't remember the name of the gentleman that helped us and the lady that gave us the tours. I feel so awful. They were so sweet to us and gave us some referrals to go see some other fun to her sites around the area as well. But one thing I have to say is make sure to pick up your light house passport. I think this is such a cool program to have. So as you two are the lighthouses you get stamps in your passport. And don't forget to count the steps on the way up to the lighthouse. We kind of forgot as soon as we got to the top cuz it was so mesmerizing

The museum was closed on the Sunday morning when we visited, but the grounds were well kept, the park surrounding it had beautiful views, and I will try to return when it's open in the future!

This should be a stop on your Milwaukee tourist attractions. You should note that they are only open on Saturdays and Sundays 1-4p. You can climb the stairs to the top of the lighthouse and see a beautiful view.

Loved the trails. Saw the lights. Met a jolly old elf of the highest order. The puppy liked the walk too.

An excellent experience if you're at all interested in Milwaukee's maritime history. The signage includes the history of the lighthouse as well as some Lake Michigan shipwrecks. The view from the top of the lighthouse is wonderful.

I can imagine that beautiful Lake Michigan scenery can be seen from the top of this lighthouse as long as it’s not smothered in snowfall, fog, and sleet, which was the case when I visited. In addition, it was closed at the time that I was there, but the historical significance of the lighthouse and the neighborhood surrounding it overall made the visit worthwhile.

Beautiful Lighthouse, open on the weekends for tours. Enjoy a nice walk in the park or the pitch and putt golf course up the road. Great place to spend a few hours.

Scam or the employee working there lied to us. After checking the website, it said public hours are 1pm-4pm on weekends, with only the tour costing money, but the lady working there said it was $16 per person to go anywhere beyond the desk. Shouldn't the website say that? Why do so many public places like this mislead people? Would've liked to have climbed the lighthouse, but not for that much...

Loved the history. I climbed to the top and even on a hazy day the view was amazing. Parking available down the street at Lake Park then walk the blacktop to the lighthouse.

I love this place . It is so clean and well maintained. Still close for the season but worth the drive. The park beside it is beautiful also. Facing Lale Michigan. Right place to spend a quick lunch.

The christmas lights and the winter really make this place a different kind of beautiful. Going back in aug. The staff was so sweet. Climbing the tower was so nice, and the stories of the light keepers were something i wish was taught more for kids in this area.

Price to get into a small lighthouse museum is not worth it. The lighthouse is pretty and the area is a bit overgrown on our visit. Got a pretty sweet pin to add to my collection for cheap tho.

I recommend doing the light house tour. Gives you a great view of the city and Lake Michigan. The museum was pretty cool too.
