Great museum !! Call ahead and set up a free tour with Tony he knows everything about the items in this great museum. Admission is cheep $15 per adult and $10 per child or $40 for a family of four. They have been working on an expansion that will double the size of the museum in 2022. They have many great cars and a large variety of other items and artifacts. Some of the items and documents are one of a kind that are priceless. If you are within a few hours of the museum it is definitely worth the drive. If you live in the general Rockford area you should be here a few times a year. There are so many things to see you can come back over and over and still enjoy it. They are always adding new items and rotating things to keep it fresh. Please support our local treasure so it can grow and be here for generations to come.

This museum is so much more than just cars, but the cars they do have are fascinating. You could spend over 4-5 hours in this place in awe. We went for a family gathering with a group of 15 and all of us had a blast and found something interesting. Tony the tour guide was great and full of knowledge! He even keeps in touch with JKFs secret service that is still alive!

Had a great time with the whole family. There’s so much more than just cars, and so much history! Tony did a great job with the tour and gave lots of extra backstory and inside information that made the visit even more interesting. Highly recommend.

Very cool collections. Very clean and well curated. Move through the collections at your own pace & there's pretty much something for everyone to enjoy and be surprised by. Spacious and plenty of room to go through with strollers or wheelchairs. Handicap parking and restrooms available too. I think I saw 3 sets of restrooms on the tour alone and plenty of benches along the way to rest or reflect. It was a little on the pricey side I thought at first but after taking the tour I felt it was priced right to keep the place so clean, temperature controlled and to keep acquiring more collections. They just recently doubled in size. Very cool visit tucked away in a business park/warehouse area in small town Roscoe, Illinois. The only thing that I thought could be improved was there were a few places on the signage for the collections that have misspellings. Not a big deal, but just a surprising little mistake here & there for such well put together displays. I think I will come back through sometime soon and bring some family and friends with me.

One of the best kept secrets of Roscoe-Rockford area!!! I highly recommend it to anyone. Be prepared for at least 1.5 hour self-tour. Or ask for Tony the chief historian to give you a tour( it will be much longer but he has amazing info on each artifact in the museum). Cool place, unique displays. Very clean and very well organized. They have a large gift shop. Very friendly and helpful staff. Large parking free of charge! Clean restrooms. Vending machines along the way. Really , it is a must place to visit!

This is a great hidden gem. It sits in a nondescript building. Inside is fantastic though! First, we met Tony. He is a volunteer that also offers tours. He is unbelievably knowledgeable. He shared some amazing stories about the western artifacts this museum has collected. It took us about 2.5 hours to walk through and see everything although you can spend much more as there were A LOT things to see. The collection is laid out really well. All different things to see. Not just cars. I really enjoyed all of the presidential history they have been able to collect. Spend a few hours here and really enjoy your. Ask for Tony!

My husband I went here, and had a great time. So much to see, cars are only a small part. They even had a dollhouse! If you go on a weekend, call ahead, or when you get there, ask for a free tour with Tony. He is great, and knows so much. He can tell you the back story on every piece in the museum!

This place is so cool! It's much more than a bunch of old cars. There is so much history here. They have movie props, clothing of historical figures, furniture from the White House, and historical artifacts. You can even get a free tour along with you entrance fee. These are just a sample of the photos I took.

Just went here today and we absolutely loved it. My daughter is a big Elvis fan. She’s three years old and I’m a fan of everybody that was in there. The cars were cool. Everything was in there. I especially liked that. There was a historian, and he answered anywhere question it was super friendly we really enjoyed and definitely will be back with family and friends.

Such an amazing place. A hidden Gem in Roscoe IL. Many of these items I didn't know existed. The historian on site was very helpful with personal 1 on 1 tours. He was fun and funny. I highly recommend this spot!

Wow, I thought it'd be about 1-1/2 hr museum visit. I spent over 3 hours. I was astounded to find two MOHS vehicles, as well as the 1957 Belvidere from Oklahoma fame. The JFK exhibits are lovingly curated. Amazing collections! Everyone will find something to pique their interest...even kids. I highly recommend. (If the Carpetbagger...see YouTube...recommended this attraction, you can be sure it's Gold.)

Such a hidden gem! I loved the variety of items and the rich history that this museum has to offer - SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST CARS!!!! The best part was the personal attention from their historian, Tony. He added a personal touch and described the back story of several artifacts which made the items we were viewing so much more special. And the tour wasn’t an additional charge! We will be returning again and bringing friends and family. We will make sure to call Tony ahead of time to have him guide us!

DO NOT MISS THIS! Auto attractions is a little misleading this collection of White House Artifacts, Lincoln artifacts, JFK artifacts, Jackie O’s clothes, The bat mobile used in the movies, NASCAR trophies, Annie Oakleys Favorite Gun and I can go on and on. Take a tour with Tony and you will be astounded by the stories and history behind everything! My husband, myself my son and my 13 year old niece all had an area of interest! You could easily spend all day in here and if you want to know the background of any piece, Tony can tell you from the top of his head. We are planning on visiting again on our way back from our destination. An incredible collection!! A must-see and stop

This place is amazing! There is so much to see here! We wish we would of had more time to stay and hang around and learn more, but we did come a little bit late. You definitely need a good 3-4 hours here. Especially if u want to learn more. They have Tony who will help and guide u & go into depth about every historical event. Tony’s knowledge will leave u amazed. Tony mentioned there is so many hidden stories behind each artifact. We definitely need to come back and explore more, there was just so much here that everyone needs to come and see. Loved this place and the front clerk Melissa was so sweet and nice she made us feel welcomed. Highly recommend this place! My favorite was seeing the Bonnie & Clyde’s car along with their hats & revolver. Such a cool experience.

My son and I drove up from indianapolis to see the museum and it did not disappoint! The layout makes it sure that you get to see everything, and you won't want to miss a thing. This museum has way more than just cars. They have many incredible historic items and beautiful memorials. If you have any questions about anything in the museum, be sure to ask. The staff is extra friendly and knowledgeable. Although we did not take a guided tour they are offered for free. So put your walking shoes on and go see all the cool stuff!

Amazing. Simply amazing! The amount of history here is palpable. The number of vehicles owned by historic figures, world leaders, presidents, etc is simply astonishing. That all these items ended up under one roof is incredible. The Chief Historian, Tony Farrell is very well informed and will give anyone who wants it and history lesson worthy of any university professor. Anyone with interest in cars or history simply must see this place!

This place is AMAZING! An incredible hidden gem just one minute from I90. Spent almost 3 hours there with family from 19 to 78 years old. Everyone was blown away by how many fantastic exhibits this place offers! The JFK exhibit was huge and educating. Elvis lovers will be thrilled. The Gangster Land, Egyptian Artifacts, and Lincoln Exhibit were favorites of mine. World leader vehicles and information is very interesting. Plenty of areas to sit and take a break/get a drink/use rest facilities. The Chief Historian, Tony, is very educated in everything under the roof! He gives tours and is passionate in his work. Nice gift shop with seating as well. Don't pass up this wonderful place. You can easily spend hours there!

Unbelievable that these artifacts of world history are in Rockton, Il. Truly an awesome treasure of our collective heritage. I’d say that there’s something for everyone, but it’s more like 400 things for everyone. There’s item after item that I’d expect to be in the Smithsonian, the British Museum, or the Michael Jackson Collection. It’s truly phenomenal! So much more than auto’s.

WOW! I took my sons here over the weekend and I am upset I never made the time to come here before. If you are into history, this is definitely your place! Tony is an amazing guide and is full of really cool information about each piece in the museum. You definitely need to look him up where you are there. I thought admission was fairly priced. Parking was excellent, and I was glad to see so many restrooms and places for the kids to sit and rest for a bit before walking on. We were even able to meet Wayne Lensing, the owner, while were were there as well. I look forward to our next visit!

This place was amazing! We're so grateful to have someone display their private collection of history! There's so much that my wife and I spent 3 hours here and could have spent more time. On our self guided tour we met Tony, he is the caretaker. Wish we would have took the time and booked a guided tour with Tony. He explained that his services would have been free and he says he knows things that aren't posted to read. Can't wait to come back and see the new things inside the new building next year! And definitely getting a tour from Tony!

I happened upon this place by a Tiktok post, and it proved well worth it. The name is a little misleading because it has far more than just cars. Ranging from things about 9/11 to WWII history to presidential information, you will find learning about everything most enjoyable. You can go in at your own pace and soak up lots of interesting facts, or, if you prefer, you can ask for a historian named Tony Farrell to give you a personal tour--at no extra charge! This volunteer can coordinate your interests and tailor your visit. When we were there, Tony didn't have a specific tour group, so he went around answering various questions and providing the most interesting tidbits. I know this sounds like an advertisement, but this was really the first time I've been there. Bathrooms and various-placed benches made it easy to go about the museum without being rushed. The displays are clean, easily read, and ample.

Great experience. The museum is far from just automotive. There is costumes worn by celebrities and famous criminals. You have to see it for yourself and if you are thinking about going I highly recommend. Staff is very friendly and the attractions are mind blowing. Great for group events. If you go ask Tony for a tour

We were in town for a car, show event and decided to make the stop before driving back to Indiana and boy, we were sure glad we did! As soon as I saw that they had stuff about Elvis, Bonnie and Clyde, military, and the family vacation roadster, we was in. Such a wide variety of artifacts and history covered at this museum. My husband and I were very pleased with our experience; we met with the gentleman Tony as he gave us some very interesting inside scoops about some of the pieces we seen displayed. Most definitely have to make another stop and request a tour with him! Plus they offer a military discount which we greatly appreciate

What a wonderful place. Something for everyone… from president’s limousine, movie stars, musicians, andfarm equipment. Kids will love the Batmobile and ghostbuster car, plus the museum has an animal room! Lots of history on JFK assassination. When you arrive ask for Tony, the historian, he is a plethora of knowledge!! We spent 3 hours looking around this museum, it is tastefully decorated. Overall amazing

This place is incredible!! The artifacts in their collection are truly second to none. Their collection of JFK assassination artifacts could be a museum in its own right, but factor in a whole bunch of presidential vehicles, old West memorabilia including weapons used at Little Big Horn and by various outlaws, gangster items including Bonnie & Clyde’s hats worn at their death, world leader vehicles and relics including cars owned by ALL of the key WWII leaders. Do yourself a favor and go here! When it comes to uniquely important historical items on display, you won’t find anything close to this outside of Washington, DC. Also, if Tony the Historian is around, he knows his stuff. Chat with him!

We visited the Historic Auto Attractions while traveling in our RV which we found through Harvest Hosts. This museum is far MORE than cars. We saw Presidents’ First Lady’s clothing, horse carriages, rockets, race cars, Elvis memorabilia, log cabin, an exact replica of the convertible that JFK rode in on that dreaded day, Batman car, President Lincoln exhibit and much more! The employees were a joy and we even met the owner. I’ve told everyone I know that this is a MUST see!! I want to give it 10 stars!! Kelly

Definitely one of the best museums I’ve been to hands down. This place is HUGE so definitely get there earlier. Tony is an amazing historian who was of much help especially when I had questions about certain exhibits. For 28 dollars per person I’d say it was well worth it! There’s items and cars in this museum that you won’t see elsewhere.

This was an amazing place and experience. Because of the babe I just expected to see cars, but immediately upon walking in there's an old west exhibit with props and memorabilia from old shows and cowboys - immediately got my attention! There is a section for just about every historical event with a strong emphasis on U.S. history. There's an Egypt exhibit, a religious exhibit, a space exploration area, a moving 9/11 area and so many others. We were so pleasantly surprised with how diverse everything was. This would be a perfect place for school tours or homeschool trips! It took us about 2 hours to go through it but we could have easily spent another 1-2 hours there reading and looking over everything there. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this place!

  • 5/5 Galya D. 11 months ago on Google
Great to place to visit! It has so much to offer! It has a ton of fun cars to see and learn about but not only! My family and I were surprised it wasn't very busy on a Sunday afternoon! More people should know about this place! We also got the chance to talk to Tony- super knowledgeable historian who has been in charge of researching everything in the museum! So Worth it!

  • 5/5 Michael M. 6 months ago on Google
There is a LOT to see here. I personally spent 3.5 hours. It's pricey, but they have some unique vehicles that belonged to presidents, celebrities and others. They also have other displays such as clocks and taxidermy. My favorite was the story of a brand new car that was buried in a time capsule and after 50 years was exhumed only to find it was severely damaged. If you have a large group, try to contact the curator, Tony Farrell, who may be able to make special arrangements.

  • 5/5 GEEK REMIX S. 7 months ago on Google
I got to speak with Tony about the historical cars and he knew so much about everything! If you talk to Tony he can arrange a really good tour. There is a lot more than just cars here. There are a lot of history, film, political historical items here as well. Very interesting!

  • 5/5 Nancy N. 1 year ago on Google
At first we thought it was pricey at 28$ with no discounts but we took 3 hours and still missed a few things! There is something for everyone here. I really enjoyed the JFK , WWII, and weird car sections. The TV show spots were also cool. The only thing that bothered me were the misspelled words! I found 4 that I want to correct. Dan, we hope you become a Harvest Host! Great place!

Awesome museum not just for cars but of amazing memorabilia from so many National events from time. Museum is very well laid out with clear paths to each exhibit. Presidential cars are very well preserved and untouched. Tony the museum historian is very knowledgeable and willing to do anything possible to make your experience more enjoyable. Recommend this museum to anyone interested in history of not only our country but much more.

  • 5/5 Mark B. 10 months ago on Google
This place isn't just cars. It's much much more including TV show memorabilia, historical weapons, and unique 1 of a kind items. Ask for Tony the Chief Historian. He offers a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective on every item in the museum. This place would be a great day trip destination for senior centers and schools. Like Gen. McArthur said we will return.

We were traveling looking for something to do. Heads up Historic Auto Attractions. Everyone was very pleasant going in. This is a massive display. I was shocked at the amount of really cool, interesting, and historical autos as well as a bunch of other historic stuff. Well worth the price of admission. Tom Farrell, the Museams Historian, has 23 years of knowledge to share on the exhibits. Stop here and spend some time.

If you love history as much as I do, if you want to take a walk through history or if you’re looking for field trip ideas, I highly recommend Historic Auto Attractions. So many things for everyone to see and enjoy! You can also get a guided tour with many interesting stories to be told by a historian named Tony.

  • 5/5 Brian J. 9 months ago on Google
Fun and unique museum filled with items that you’ll feel connected to through movies and historical figures. It’s so much more than a collection of autos; the items each have an interesting story. The collection starts before the automobile with horse-drawn coaches and carriages, then follows through the history of automobiles, many of which are connected to presidents and rulers of other countries. On top of the autos, there are collections from famous people, movies, war, space, and even a collection of animals.

Historic Auto Attractions is a hidden gem! Full of history of our Nation and some fun facts! The John F. Kennedy exhibit was done with respect and full attention to detail. A truly unexpected find! This amazing museum pays homage to history and includes the automobile across pivotal many points in history, further, here are other key historical displays that together represent nearly our entire timeline of our existence. The great. The good. And, the ugly. A must see!

  • 5/5 William C. 10 months ago on Google
A fantastic experience - everyone in my family from age 5 to 45 enjoyed our trip to this eclectic and impressively large collection. Official replicas and some originals from famous movies and shows, hit cars from Chicago gangs (complete with 2 inch thick bulletproof glass and Tommy Gun portholes), displays on Elvis, Hank Williams, WW2 and military uniforms from across the world, and an extensive JFK collection (complete, no kidding, with a section of fence from the Grassy Knoll) - it's just mind boggling how much stuff they have in this one museum. DEFINITELY worth a detour. Ask for Tony - he's usually onsite and can give FREE personal tours or answer any questions you might have on any of the exhibits. Ideal destination for school trips of just about any grade level!

What a great experience! Was expecting a building of cars but found it’s so much more. We arrived as it opened and luckily Tony, the historian, was there and gave a brief overview on the historic importance of the first few exhibits… was blown away in the first few minutes with what we saw. My son said it best “it’s like being on an amazing field-trip.”
