One start because the library is near me and they have study room available when needed. I went one time for work meeting in their study rooms, I was told that I could remove my mask when in study room as long as the door is closed. After an hour, someone from the staff knocked on the door and asked me to put my mask on. Which didn’t make any sense because the entire hour I was there with the person I was meeting with, we didn’t have our mask.. that means we could’ve gotten sick during that one hour without our mask. Their mask policy does not make sense. Also, their rooms Don’t give a lot of fresh air. Maybe if they work on remodeling the study rooms and put some decent air ventilation that would help! So depressing!

I recently had the pleasure of attending the Craft Supply Swap at the Niles-Maine District Library on Saturday, November 11th, and once again, I found myself immersed in a truly exceptional crafting experience. The Craft Supply Swap, expertly organized by the library's own Bernadetta, took place in the conference room, and the lobby was abuzz with eager crafters lining up in anticipation. Bernadetta, a warm and welcoming presence at the library, showcased her remarkable ability to foster a sense of community and creativity. What sets Bernadetta apart is her dedication to providing diverse crafting opportunities. In addition to the Craft Supply Swap, she also organized a Plant Supply Swap that exceeded all expectations. This event not only allowed community members to share and acquire new plant treasures but also highlighted the library's commitment to sustainability and fostering connections among patrons. I've had the privilege of participating in the bi-weekly Knit-Wits sessions Bernadetta hosts, where crafters come together to knit and crochet. Her leadership extends to consistent make-and-take craft classes, where she patiently guides patrons through the use of various makerspace tools, including vinyl cutting, laser cutting, 3D printing, and many other creative endeavors. The Niles-Maine District Library, under Bernadetta's guidance, has truly become a hub for creativity, learning, and community engagement. The library's commitment to sustainable practices and the diverse range of crafting opportunities offered, including the Plant Supply Swap, have left a lasting impression on me. I am genuinely grateful for the enriching experiences the library provides and am eagerly looking forward to attending more events, exploring new crafting endeavors, and continuing to be part of this vibrant community. Thank you, Niles-Maine District Library and Bernadetta, for exceeding expectations and creating a crafting haven for all! Sincerely, Susan

I've been here dozens of times and it is my go to place when I want to get things done without disruption. It's a very nice facility with many different options for studying. I have used the upper floor where they have large work tables that allow you to spread out & work. Upstairs there is also an area with lounge chairs and tables if you just want to kick back & read. Right off the entry on the ground floor they have a large selection of movies on dvd's. Adjacent to that is a section that is isolated away from the study areas where the children can go and play. This is a good feature because I have been to a couple of Chicago libraries where all these functions are in a large open area without any separation and it can be quite noisy. In the basement there is a large area where there are computers on rows of tables for people to come in and use them for research (if you don't have your own computer) or just to surf the internet. They also have individual study rooms where you can reserve & work with in privacy either individually or with others. Overall this is a place that I find is very well organized and laid out with different areas for different functions. They also have wifi. For the most part it works pretty good, but I have been there when there are a lot of people using it and it can get very slow, but overall it's one of the. Iced libraries I have been to.

This library has terrible service, rude workers and it’s gross here. Me and my family (we all have dust allergies) broke out in severe hives, not to mention there is a ant infestation. The only good part is the teen area, lots of crafts, games and fun.

i just moved into the neighborhood and this is my first time visiting this library. I was in the quiet zone with my friend and a lady named Maryelle said we were disrupting others. We decided to move to another table because we did not want to disturb other individuals however she cut in front of us and stated that we could not sit there either because we would make too much noise. If anyone wants another suggestion for a library where you would be respected as an individual, I would suggest the Skokie Public Library.

I visited here to apply my passport on Sunday. Even though I arrived about 20 minutes earlier than my appointment, I was welcomed. Steve was very friendly and helpful. The process was pretty easy and smooth as well. I highly recommend this place if you are planning to apply for new passport.

We just went to the library to study. We didn't make any noise and we just studied in silence. But the woman named Maryelle came and scolded us roughly 2 times. It shouldn't be like that. It's not suitable for people to work there. That woman is yelling at people there to satisfy her ego. It's not appropriate for this woman to be there.
