The best EAA chapter! Great people and an even more amazing place for events. My wife and I got married here and it was amazing.

I began my aviation journey in the mid 70's, flew a variety type aircraft singles, multi and tail. I earned my FAA A&P (airframe and power plant license) in the military, truly enjoying the world of flight. Thank you for giving a tour of a rather nice facility with a small museum, hangar and workshop. I truly enjoyed the visit. It's great to see the younger generation getting involved in this sport; as the aviation community seems to be getting smaller rather rapidly. Granted, the cost of flight isn't like it once was. The EAA empowers both seasoned aviation buffs and newcomers alike in scope. I implore you to take a tour of this facility, inquire, get involved to earn your pp or sport aviation license, or take the skill beyond into the commercial sector. These folks have all the tools to help get you there! By the way, I enjoyed seeing the EA being worked on. Looks great!

This is the local chapter. As a member we have many activities always going on. It was the Saturday of our yearly pancake breakfast. ( open to the public.) We offer kids interested in aviation, aircraft rides, once a month in the summer. If you’re interested in aviation or building your own aircraft, check us out.

Outstanding aviation education programs. They sponsor Aviation Explorer Post 218, which is part of the Boy Scouts of America, but is co-ed. It is for high school youth interested in aviation. Chapter 838 also holds EAA Young Eagle rallies on the second Saturday each month from March through November. Children ages 8-17 get a chance to have a free airplane ride around Racine. I understand that pre-registration is required

Loved it. Took 2 YE flights there - they were awesome! There's a little museum, a flight simulator, and a small library

Small museum of aircraft, but well laid out and well marked. A way to burn an hour but not a whole day. Normally open during events run by the EAA such as their fundraisers, meetings, and Young Eagles days. During Young Eagles it is curated by a volunteer or two but it's not needed to have a curator or docent as everything is well marked.

It is the first time I visited this place, previous friends said it was an airport, today it is a party room.
