When
I
started
my
daughter
at
Great
Lakes
I
initially
loved
the
school.
However
that
changed
when
my
scholar
and
high
scorer
all
of
a
sudden
had
over
20
plus
days
of
absence
while
remote
learning.
My
daughter
was
in
school
everyday
on
time
participating,
etc
(I
worked
from
home
so
I
made
sure
she
was
in
class
everyday).
So
up
until
I
transferred
her
this
past
June.
The
communication
was
horrible
starting
with
the
principal
who
never
got
back
to
me
with
his
so
call
investigation.
How
can
a
student
as
smart
as
my
daughter
be
absent
those
many
days
and
have
the
grades
and
test
scores
she
produced.
Not
only
that
but
no
teacher
reached
out
ever
if
there
was
a
attendance
issue.
Which
let
me
know
that
Mr.
Chavez
who
marked
her
absent
consistently
from
what
I
was
told
by
the
principal
clearly
wasn't
doing
his
job
and
taking
attendance
properly
because
how
can
you
mark
present
students
absent.
Until
this
day
I
never
received
a
reason
or
resolution
to
this
issue.
As
a
parent
who
has
always
been
adamant
about
my
child's
attendance
and
education
I
her
parent
deserved
a
resolution
with
this
error
corrected
instead
of
a
inconsistent
lie.
I
would
never
recommend
any
parent
allow
this
to
happen
to
their
child.
I
don't
recommend
this
school
do
to
their
lack
of
communication,
professionalism,
consistency,
and
resolution.
Last
I
updated
my
child's
address
on
two
different
times
providing
updated
license
and
a
current
bill
with
the
address
they
never
updated
it
in
the
system
and
on
her
transfer
the
address
was
still
showing
our
old
address.
I
presented
the
information
twice
because
they
didn't
update
it
the
first
time.
It
just
shows
inconsistencies
that
they
definitely
have
to
improve.
I
am
happy
she
is
at
another
school.
She
was
so
upset
that
her
teacher
had
marked
her
absent
her
words
to
me
was
mommy
I
am
always
in
classs
why
would
my
teacher
tell
a
story
on
me.
At
that
moment
I
chose
to
move
her
from
that
environment.
