Beaches are one of the most popular vacation destinations for people all over the world. They offer a variety of activities such as swimming, sunbathing, surfing, and beach volleyball. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the feeling of the sand between your toes can be very relaxing and therapeutic. The quality of a beach can vary depending on factors such as cleanliness, water quality, and the availability of amenities such as restrooms and showers. Some beaches are more crowded than others, which can affect the overall experience. Overall, beaches can be a great place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature. Whether you prefer a quiet, secluded beach or a lively, bustling one, there is a beach out there for everyone.

The beach is really beautiful. Water is a bit dirty but beach is large and in a good condition. We visited in rainy season and water sports were closed due to high tide. Alibag is famous for this beach only, there are no other tourist attractions nearby.

Alibag is one of the nice place outside Mumbai .great place I went through jetty from gatewayof India .alibag is lovely beach clean and fresh air there I totally enjoyed it great place. Had been to this black sand beach in Alibag a long back ago. It is a popular tourist attraction and is visited by tourists. This beach is accessible by road from anywhere in Alibag. It has a platform where tourists can walk and view the sunset as well. This beach also offers a mind blowing view of the Kolaba Fort. Watersport activities as well as horse cart rides can be done here. It gets crowded during the weekends. Had enjoyed walking along the black sand and admired the beautiful sunset. This beach is an ideal place for families, couples, adventure enthusiasts as well as friends. It is a must visit and should not be missed when in Alibag.

Located just below the border of Mumbai, Alibag is a little coastal town in the state of Maharashtra. The name of the town literally means โ€œThe Gardens of Aliโ€ and refers to the fruit orchards that were planted by Ali, an Israelite who used to live in the town during its earliest days. Owing to its convenient location by the sea, the town was regarded as an important strategic port during the British reign in India.ย  Being a coastal town, the beauty of Alibaug derives largely from the various beaches here. With its glittering golden black sands and clear blue waves, the clean and sparkling beaches of the town are a sight to behold. The brilliance of the beaches is often complemented by the historical fort ruins and ancient temples that can often be found scattered around the place. Whether youโ€™re a lover of the sea or a history buff looking for an insightful vacation, Alibaug is just the place for you. The excellent beaches here, such as the Alibaug Beach, Mandwa Beach or Nagaon Beach, among others, offer a happening day out for the entire family. Apart from the regular swimming and sunbathing, some of these beaches offer a marvelous variety of watersports as well.T hose with a penchant for the past can also spend a happening day touring all the historical attractions here, such as the Brahma Kund or the Kolaba Fort. One of the best ways to spend your time while in Alibaug is to try your hand at the watersports offered by the beach here. Sports like parasailing, jet skiing and banana boating can be done by beginners as well as experts, and promise a fun experience for all. While in Alibaug, you can also try your hand at camping, with the several beachside campsites here offering perfect locations for the activity. Summers in Alibaug are generally hot and humid, winter months tend to be cooler and pleasant. Winter here lasts between November and February, and is generally considered to be the best time to visit. Rainfall in Alibaug generally concentrates between the months of July and September, while the winter months remain dry.

Good to check the tide times if you want to go into the water as in low tide the water is far off from the shore. There are plenty of activities and water sports for adults and itโ€™s calm enough for kids to play. High tide was at around 11am, we went down to play in the water from 9am. Weather was pleasant and water was quiet warm. Not a clear blue water but with our toddler we loved it.

Alibag Beach is a charming coastal destination. The golden sands and clear waters create a serene atmosphere. It's a popular spot for beach lovers, offering water sports and delicious seafood stalls. However, it can get crowded on weekends. A great getaway for those seeking a coastal escape near Mumbai.

You can do water sports on all the beaches like Varsoli, Alibaug and Nagaon. There's a fort name as Kolaba Fort in the middle of the sea where we can go by walking or by horse rides. But make sure to go and come back before the tide comes. A beautiful sunset at the beach is what I love XD

One of the best place to visit in Alibag. Little bit crowded place. Best time to visit at this place is evening. Hotels are easily available some of the good hotels .Sea good is quite fresh and delicious. Also water sports are available. Cons. are No Cleanliness & Dirty Water. From here you can go to Alibag fort with walking distance of approximately 1 KM when sea water is less. Evening scenes really awesome. Overall good place to visit with your friends and family.

More crowded than other beaches near. Place is near form alibaug bus stand . Affordable rooms and gauges available near this place. Alibaug is a splendid coastal town located in the Konkan region of Maharashtra. Often called as โ€˜Goa of Maharashtraโ€™, it is one of the popularย places to visit in Maharashtraย and among the best weekend getaways from Mumbai. Surrounded by sea on three sides, Alibaug was once known as Kolaba, attributed to the Kolaba Fort which was built by Shivaji in 1680 CE. This coastal town is well-known for its ancient forts and lovely beaches. Especially, the beaches in & around Alibagh are a perfect blend of serenity and beauty which will refresh, replenish and rejuvenate your body and soul. When you plan to visit please don't throw plastic in sea. Help to clean this place. Wish you a happy journey.

Nice beach especially during afternoons and evenings when the tide is high, during the mornings, when tide is low, one wouldn't be able to enjoy any water sports or bathe in the sea. A very neat and clean spacious beach just out of the city of Alibaug. Beautiful view of sunset overlooking the fort of colaba is really breathtaking. A walkway is constructed along side of the beach. Many local people are seen enjoying the cool breeze, while strolling along the walkway. Good for weekends outside Mumbai. One of the preferred getaways for people. Beach is clean but crowded and commercialized. You have plenty of options for watersports, camel ride, horse ride etc. Also kolaba fort is nearby which is another historical attraction. Worth visiting once with freinds or family.

This is nearest beach near Alibag city and people are there in night also. View of both morning, sunset and night are good. During night time you will be able to see tides near beach. Coloba fort is very near to this beach where you can walk on your foot during low tide. I have enjoyed this place a lot. Ample amount of parking available at beach. Safe and sound beach.

Alibag Beach was next explored from one end to the other. We tried our hands riding a motor cycle. The speed was carefully controlled by the driver. It was sheer fun and exciting to watch others also have a memorable time at the beach. The beach was not very crowded as everyone was expected to keep in mind the time of high tide and then venture out into the sea. There were adults and children of all ages groups who did not mind the sweltering heat and had a great time on the beach. We too sat for a while, walked a bit on the sand as water had receded owing to low tide, posed for the photos, selected locations for an eye catching photo, relished coconut water, blew bubbles with soap water and watched other have a gala time with family and friends.

The beach hv many activities to do like ATV bikes, horse riding, camel riding, speed boats n all but dont have water sports like bsnana ride n all. U can visit colaba fort through this beach wothing 10 mins. So do visit this beach.. its really good one.

Alibag is a beautiful place if you are looking forward to having some ME time. You wouldn't find a very happening night life in Alibag... But it can sure give you some lifetime experiences. If you looking only around Alibag Once you reach Alibag you can head right to the beach and have some fun there... You can ask locals for the low tide and hightide timings and walk your way to the KOLABA FORT inside the sea... It's not far and it's fun to walk in water... But be careful and return before the hightide starts. You can also hire horsecart rides to take you there. Walk your way a bit and you can see the magnetic observatory, though they don't let you go to the core observatory you can visit the museum inside. On the way to observatory you will see MAYUR bakery which is old and sells delicious cupcakes and cream cakes and pastries along with other food items.. You can have some snacks there.. They are a a speciality. If you want a bit serene beach with less crowd.. Head to varsoli beach... Where you can chill. On the way to varsoli beach there is a place MHATRE WADI you can pre-order your lunch there and enjoy a hearty sea food or veg meal afterwards. Now this is just in Alibag if you have time and want some more fun. You can choose either our way to MURUD or MANDWA. Murud is a 50 kms drive from Alibag that usually takes 1.5 to 2 hrs. On the way you have akshi, Nashville, revdanda, kashid beaches.. Nagav beach has water sports you can enjoy while kashid beach is good for chilling At revdanda fort you can click some great photos In a small village between revdanda and kashid is KORLAI.. It sports a fort and one of 18 light houses on the Indian coastline and it's absolute pleasure at sunset to be on that fort. The khanderi ,underi islands are also a good visit. There is birla mandir you can visit. Just a few kms from revdanda On the way to MURUD is the PHANSAD sanctuary if you are fond of wildlife. Now on your way to mandwa. You have kihim, that, chondhi, rewashing, mandwa beaches. They have some luxury hotels and lounges around to chill. If you are fond of art there is the KARMARKAR SCULPTURES MUSUEM at sasawaneโ€ฆ.which and absolute pleasure to watch. alibag is an absolute enjoyable weekend getaway. Have fun.

Alibag Beach is the main beach of the town, and is well known for its clean coastline. The beach has primarily blackish sand and a lot of rocky stretches. Alibaug Beach is one of the most popular beaches with the sight of Kolaba Fort providing the perfect view during sunset as part ofย Alibaug Packages. The beach is very lively with bathers in the morning and many food stalls in the evening. The beach has no facilities for water sports like boating, diving, or snorkeling. Walking and sunbathing, riding in the six seated horse-driven buggies are the most ideal activities in Alibaug Beach. The government has been built a good platform for the tourist to enjoy the sea and to take bath with safety. Even though the beach is safe for swimming at low tide, be cautious as there are no lifeguards on the beach.

A Great experience in a reasonable budget. Alibag Beach is a great place to visit especially to see the nature's beauty when the fort is surrounded by water in the evening and is on the ground in the morning. The beach is a pleasant place to rest for a while and enjoy the natural peace. This beach is a must visit spot with friends and family.

Fairly clean beach with clean water. There is a nice waterfront with wave breakers to sit on and enjoy snacks. And there's horse and ATB riding also available. Parking maybe an issue on weekends.

The Arabian Sea encircles the beach town of Alibaug in the Raigad District. It's well-known for its gorgeous beaches, historic forts, and exhilarating water sports. It is the ideal setting for a respite from your demanding life. It is easily accessible by ferry, rail, and road and is only 100 km from Mumbai. Compared to Naogaon Beach, Alibaug Beach is more crowded. The beach has a lot of restaurants around. Nearby to this beach is Colaba Fort. The months of November through February are the ideal times to visit Alibaug.

Awesome place to visit if you live in nearby cities like pune Or mumbai. During the day water later reaches till neck but after the sunset water level goes down to your ankle, and you can easily walk to the fort. There is only one pay and use bath/change station. Personally I think they charge too much according to what they are delivering. Rating 4/5 cause there were no jet ski ๐Ÿ˜ž
