Had such a great experience here! Late Sept 2021 and the weather was perfect. Not too hot and not too many people. Huge area to explore and spend minutes to hours people watching and enjoying the gardens and grounds. Tons of public chairs available throughout the gardens.

My favorite park in Paris. go there on a clear day and drink coffee this amazing spot. the palace there is owned by the French Senate, which meets in the Palace. We stopped at a fantastic little spot for a chocolate crepe and espresso and really soak in all the atmosphere. Make sure you take something warm if you are going to visit in the winter as it’s super cold during the winter months.

It's a beautiful place to walk around. I loved the playground, it was beautiful and my son loved it. The only thing is that you must pay to enter the playground and they charge kids and adults but on the other hand, it has bathrooms and the place looks very clean.

We visited in September 2022 as the gardens are one of our favourite places to visit when we come to Paris. Lovely. One of the 4 or 5 favourite places that we always visit whenever we're in Paris Luxembourg Gardens is one. A lovely place to simply sit or wander, always relaxed and so enjoyable. Numerous cafes and restaurants dotted around the gardens, plenty of eating and shade. We returned again in November 2023 on a cold and autumnal afternoon. The gardens are beautiful any time of the year. A lot quieter in autumn, a few more chairs available around the little boating lake, but the same relaxing atmosphere. It's still a favourite place of ours to visit. We hope to visit again in February when we return to Paris next. Level 9 Google reviewer with over 900 reviews, 75,000 points plus over 10,000 photos, and still going strong 💪. Check out my other reviews 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

Majestic gardens in Central Paris, full of people enjoying the beautiful flowers and fountains, and viewing countless epic statues like the ring of French queens going back hundreds of years. Kids will love the playgrounds and renting little sailboats to float in the central fountain. Great place to explore.

Nice and free public garden where you can have a walk, check the fountain, or even the art pieces distributed along the garden. There were many seatings available for everyone. The garden looks also well maintained. Great option for tourists and good photo spots.

It is a very big garden, where you can relax, take a walk, draw, read a book, have a snack, play with your friends/family. Honestly, it wasn't that impressive to me but it is actually a place for escape during your day and enjoy nature's beauty. I don't know if there is any parking space and public toilets.

This place is very beautiful and very easy to access. The creativity behind the outdoor landscape and the fact that you can sit anywhere and be comfortable makes it suitable for any outdoor activities such as picnics with friends, study group, impromptu online meetings or just to enjoy the day.

This Luxembourg gardens in Paris is breathtaking and you can walk around it and sit on the many chairs found around to relax. We only had limited time in Paris but we made a point of going back. Our absolutely favourite part is the Medici Fountain. We are huge readers and I cannot begin to explain the peace found at this fountain. There are chairs all around filled with people of all ages sketching, painting, or reading and relaxing. We made this our reading spot the following day when the weather was better and it was such a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is also located away from the rest of the gardens so it was quiet and very relaxing. I would recommend a visit - there is a stunning palace, the majestic fountain as well as these beautiful trees for a lovely photo taking point for tourists. The whole place is stunning. Worth the visit for sure.

A huge garden with stature nearly everywhere. Castle-like buildings which I believe are government buildings. Lots of people are flocking around in winter. You do not have to pay to visit this park. We saw many locals having their runs. It was not very fascinating for me. However, if you have nothing to do, this place can be a good substitute.

Created in 1612 at the request of Marie de Médicis. The palace and garden have retained the name of the former private mansion in which they were built: the Hôtel de Luxembourg. It belonged to François de Piney-Luxembourg, who had it built and lived there for some time before selling it to Marie de Médicis. The Luxembourg is the garden of the French Senate. It is a beautiful place to relax. In winter the garden closes at 5:30pm.

One of the most beautiful gardens in Paris! Bring a book here and take a seat and just relax. You’ll be joined by many other people who are enjoying the silence and reading away! You can also watch people playing sports here. Or just go for a leisurely stroll. Beautiful garden for anybody!

Beautiful... had a lovely picnic there. the statues were very interesting. I enjoyed reading all of the information about them. My son and I did almost a little treasure hunt, looking for various statues. It was a bit on the dusty side because of the driveways but I'm thinking it's because the weather was so dry over the summer.

The most splendid park with sweeping views of the central gardens. Plenty of spots to sit in sunbath or cool off in the shade. You could spend all day here exploring and enjoying the gardens, sculpture, museums and people watching.

Beautiful place to spend your Sunday. One of the best places for families to enjoy. Lovely area. Activities for children. Few kiosks to grab waffles and mulled wine. Perfect picnic place if you are in Paris. Do try mulled wine.

A nice area to walk around and relax. Luxembourg palace is cool to look at along with statues and birds. Their are chairs everywhere so you can sit down and eat lunch or read a book. Great spot to get away from all the city noise and enjoy the quietness.

Just might be the prettiest place to sit and relax in the world. The gardens are just perfect, with the traditional green chairs to sit, relax and enjoy a beautiful atmosphere. It can get crowded on the weekends, but it’s worthwhile if you are just visiting for the weekend.

Marvellous, beautiful gardens that are on the one hand full of people who are going there to relax, enjoy nature, and meet their friends, and on the other hand, so calm and peaceful. When we visited the gardens, a band was playing music, and children were praying in the pond with little boats.

Beautiful well kept gardens with a small pond. We really enjoyed sitting along the paths (secretly sipping wine) and people watching. We didn’t know it but the park closes right before nightfall. The police will circle and blow whistles - then it’s time to go.

Came here on 18 Jan and the gate was closed due to heavy snow. I just hanged around and then magic happens. Slowly they open the Gardens and it was covered with a blanket of snow. So serene! I spend time exploring the Garden. Sat at a chair provided and walk life goes by. Peaceful place.

A very peaceful place. I bet this place in spring or summer is very crowded. Loved the view, and the peacefulness, fresh air. It is near a train station so you don't have to walk a lot to reach it. There are some food kiosks inside, mostly crepes. In case you're hungry or thirsty while in here you can grab something real quick. I will try to return in spring to see how it looks.

I love this parc. The palace, the pool, the long field... it’s place that feels like truly Parisien. Just escape the touristic hassle, grab a piece of cloth, get a baguette and some cheese, may be berries also, get a nice wine or even better a bottle of champagne from the nice shop right across the gate on the palace side and chill. You can also play with the toy sail boats on the pool. I also like the long chairs in the parc, if you want to relax by the pool. I cannot say they are comfy, yet mostly they do the job 😀

A very beautiful place to settle down and relax on, with a piece of food or listen to music/paint in. Very close to metros, bike parking and close access to boulangeries and other activities around The Jardin Du Luxembourg which fills the day up even more. Would definitely hang out here with a veggie picknick on a warm Summers evening!

Never a disappointment. This is the most visited park in Paris and there is good reason. It’s got everything. Lots of things for kids and adults. On our visit there was an afternoon concert and it was just delightful. Overall a very nice way to spend a sunny afternoon.

I went during autumn, tail-end of winter, and spring time. Great garden for a stroll in any season. The gardens are beautiful - it’s a nice place to come and sit and enjoy the sunshine and the statues and palace are beautiful! I wish there was more grass or more non gravel areas to sit on as the gravel makes large parts of the park feel like a car park or temporary surface! There are chairs everywhere that can be moved around so there’s plenty of seating and some are designed to be sun loungers (though not the most comfortable)

This is such a beautiful set of gardens right in the middle of Paris! My partner and I loved taking walks through here in the mornings and evenings after a long day in the city. Beautiful Gardens. And plenty of space to relax with your love or friends. It's a shame so much reconstruction is going on. It's ruined the view of the palace. However, on a lovely summer evening... this is perfect to spend a couple hours relaxing after a long day of sightseeing or working.

Perhaps the best garden to visit in Paris after Versailles Palace. It is very beautiful. There is no entry visit for this garden. It’s just outside the Luxembourg metro station. Beautiful garden built by a queen in the 1600’s and now enjoyed by all. There are over 100 beautiful statues here, as well as a lake for your mini boats and plenty of landscaped pathways. We saw a couple of small eateries on site but it looked more like ice cream and hot chocolate. There is apparently a restaurant on site but we did not investigate. Overall, this park is stunning and has been featured in many films. Definitely worth a visit!

A place to relax after roaming around Paris. Serenity and Peaceful are one of the two words that come to mind when I think of this place. I was there on 24th December which is winter season in Paris, I'm sure in Fall or Autumn this place will be mesmerizing.

We had to escape the rain a bit on our visit but that was alright. There were gazebo and other structures to get some relief from the rain and grab a coffee while we waited it out. The garden was lovely and there were quite a few people hanging out and enjoying the warm albeit damp evening.

I used to go here every Sunday when I lived in the 6eme arrondissement. I absolutely love this place!!! They have those tiny hobbit ponies in one corner and the pool in the middle and those kids boats are always fun to watch. There's enough place for sunbathing as well as sitting in the shade. Not many tourists in this garden but I think that's normal in non touristic places like this.

A beautiful garden to walk through, but also fun for the kids. At the pond kids can rent a little sailing-boat. The sailing boats sail by themselves but are helped by the kids from the sides by poking the boats in the right direction.

A perfect place for families, live , green . Beautiful fountain and palace . Pantheon is 5 minutes walk and transport is readily accessible . Mcdonalds and other restaurants are on the corner, so if you are planning for a picnic it is the place to be in when visiting Paris. It can be quite crowded, that is a positive for me . Tuilleries gardens can be less crowded and you can find a place alone . University of Sorbonne is nearby , so university students are almost always there.

Nice park in the heart of Paris to seat and relax. Find the Statue of Liberty in small size, an unexpected surprise and take some selfies. Grab a chair and enjoy the Parisian weather, seat and relax with a nice book: no traffic noise, no scooters, no kids playing the ball, just a quite moment to rest.

  • 5/5 Maheen N. 2 years ago on Google
This park is truly beautiful. The water fountain was a joy and a hit for my toddler who enjoyed looking at the fish, the ducks and throwing rocks in it. The tree lined paths are stunning. I was a bit disappointed that the kids play area was not free but you had to pay to get in. There is something for everyone in this park from basketball courts and tennis courts to playground to the fountain and plenty of chairs to sit on especially on a gorgeous day like today when the sun came out to play after raining all morning the park was buzzing with everyone soaking in the sun. Loved the vibe

Very nice park to stroll and get away from the crowds in the narrow streets of Paris. Enjoy the green spaces, flowerbeds, the water fountains. Grab a baguette, pick a bench to savour the day and watch people stroll by. There’s also an art exhibition building which is free for admission. You’ll also find some tennis courts on the grounds as well.

  • 4/5 Cassandra P. 1 year ago on Google
Free to visits the grounds, and sail boats for rent. It was unsurprisingly hot on our August visit so would highly recommend perhaps an umbrella and some sun screen as there is limited shade and seating by the fountain if you do plan on sailing a boat. But the gardens are beautiful and a great photo op.

  • 5/5 Kajal M. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful park with plenty of seating. You can't sit on the grass for a picnic but there are some good relaxing metal seats that are in high demand. For kids, there are small boats to hire to place inside the fountain and watch. Very popular park near the fountain but as you move further out, it's a lot quieter

This place is amazing. I used to come to the library not far from here when I was back in college and I never really went deep inside. There is much to see : the garden, fountains, sports playground and even a huge kids playground. The later one I didn’t appreciate much to be honest. If you live in France, you’d know that mainly public parks have always a free kids playground except this one. 3€ per adult and 1€ per kid…

I loved visiting the Luxembourg Gardens! They were my favorite between the Eiffel Tower and the Palace of Versailles. Honestly! The gardens smelled of flowers, they were welcoming and my family and I played with ships for at least an hour. I thought my boys would be too old for playing with boats, but I was happy that they played with them, actually played with them! That brought me joy. We then hung out under the trees before deciding on where to go for dinner. It was lovely. Beautiful gardens that pave the way for beautiful memories.

Off the beaten path! It's a must see in Paris especially on an evening when most shops are closed. A quick walk from the Latin quarter you can enjoy your ice cream while you sit among the flowers. It's simply beautiful

These gardens are a delight to visit at any time of year but the autumn planting in the flower beds was particularly stunning in October. Stroll around and watch the chess games which are increasingly being played by a wider age range. We never miss a visit when we’re in Paris

Amazing and great for kids! 5.50 euro to hire small boat for 30 mins. Play ground and lots of space for running! You can buy food and drink. Only negative are the toilets. They are free but not very clean.

100% worth a wander through these lovely gardens, always different things to see at every angle. Different sculptures, and views of other landmarks like the Parthenon. Plenty of seats to eat food as well

Le Jardin du Luxembourg was amazed by its beauty and the richness of details. This is truly a charming place. The well-maintained gardens, the statues, and, in particular, the replica of the Statue of Liberty, add a touch of history and meaning to the site. The variety of colorful flowers creates a stunning visual spectacle, while the lush fountain in the center of the garden adds a touch of serenity. The meticulously pruned trees provide a sense of order and elegance, and the view of the Pantheon of Paris, which unfolds from the garden, is truly spectacular. It is a significant place that invites contemplation and appreciation of natural and cultural beauty. I highly recommend a visit to this lovely garden that combines history, nature, and breathtaking landscapes.

I visited Jardin du Luxembourg on an early December morning, and despite the slight chill in the air, the park retained its charm with remnants of fall foliage. The serene atmosphere was complemented by the sight of Parisians jogging, especially the vibrant energy of young people engaged in various exercises. The picturesque surroundings offered a delightful view, creating a serene ambiance that felt both invigorating and tranquil. The park's versatility was evident, making it not only a great spot for individuals seeking a refreshing jog but also an ideal place for families and children. The mix of greenery, the crisp morning air, and the lively activities made it a memorable and enjoyable experience. Jardin du Luxembourg truly captures the essence of a welcoming and multifaceted urban oasis in the heart of Paris.
