Very well-structured park headquarters, suitable for receiving weekend visitors and even those who want to explore its preserved natural environment. Well-maintained trails, without signs of rubbish, signposted and enchantingly beautiful. Park staff are very attentive, helpful and have an infectious charisma. I recommend it and I will always come back!

Very good structure. It has a camping area with barbecue grills, chalets for up to 5 people, a restaurant and Wi-Fi access. The river is very beautiful, it has beautiful waterfalls with clean, drinkable water. It's a tough trail for those who are sedentary, but the view is worth it. For those going to Cachoeira do Crioulo via the trail, I suggest returning down the river.

Wonderful park, very clean, well preserved. Waterfalls, viewpoints and trails of varying degrees of difficulty (from 1km to 6.5 km, each section). Exquisite organization, from prior scheduling of accommodation (camping or accommodation) via email, to logistics during the visit (the restaurant is excellent and has delicious breakfast and lunch). Trails signposted and very well maintained. Water points (at the exit of the waterfall trails and just before the Crioulo waterfall). Balance between being in nature with freedom (trails are self-guided and very open), and safety (concierge monitors entrance and park guards are always circulating). Perfect place to go with friends and family, or for solitary immersions.

The park is excellent with good facilities to welcome adventurers/tourists. It has a great camping area with clean bathrooms with electric shower, water fountain, barbecue grills... The river runs close to the campsite with an excellent beach for swimming, just be careful with children! The park also has accommodation with rooms with beds, you just need to bring bed linen and towels. Unfortunately we went there to spend the day, go to the waterfalls, bathe in the river, etc... and to our surprise the restaurant was closed, we had nothing to eat or drink. They could have warned on the website that the restaurant was closed and for people to bring their food and drinks, but a public body, you know how it is... When you go to the park, don't put the park directly on Google maps, put the city São Gonçalo do Rio Preto, because otherwise Google maps will make you leave the highway and enter a dirt road that will lead nowhere. It's the same way when you come back, put the city of São Gonçalo, otherwise, if you go straight to Diamantina, Maps will drop you onto a farm with no way out. Entrance to the park is 20 reais per person and always ask for a receipt (if you don't want the money to be kept by the employee). Pets are prohibited. To get there, I advise you to go with a car that is higher in relation to the ground (cars like gol, palio, suvs, get there easily).

(Translated by Google) I visited the Park for the first time in 2005; returning there just this week, I realized it remains Magnificent. It looks like a parallel universe, where nature has a different rhythm, gentle, silent; the fish swim beside you without fear, the landscapes are grandiose, vivid paintings. A place to keep in your heart..Congratulations and gratitude to Tonhão and all the employees and service providers (like the welcoming Waléria) who somehow donate their energy and contribute to the construction of a harmonious ecosystem between human beings and the nature. A place where a bird wakes you up every day and I hope I can be there more often, thank you! A hug to the lazy anteaters.

Recomendo!

The park is well structured, the trails are well marked, we did two trails, the Creole waterfall, facing the ever-living waterfall, the trail was 14 km round trip, it's worth it because it's an incredible place.

I spent 4 days there trekking by my own. Amazing nature, waterfalls and wild life, a lonely paradise. Only thing I felt not comfortable it was not be allowed to be alone in some waterfalls, but I was lucky enough to do so getting into the park by Chapada do Couto entrance.

The place is incredible but the management is terrible, I requested a reservation in September 2023, Tonhao asked to call in December, I called, he asked to call another week because I simply hadn't bought an agenda, absurd but I waited, I called again and reservations were suspended and more Once, after several attempts, he informed me that there were no vacancies for the date I wanted. The lack of respect is absurd.

My 3rd time at the park. The service from the staff is wonderful. Exceptional place. Beautiful waterfalls, surprising river. Prepare yourself physically because Cachoeira do Crioulo has a river walk that is for experienced hikers and depends on good physical fitness. Magical place.

I went on an excursion, we went up to Cachoeira do Crioulo and went down to Cachoeira das Semper Vivas (heavy level: due to gravel on the trail and the rock formations of the water route). In the month of May, the weather was already cloudy and the water was freezing cold. But the conservation of the park, the landscapes and the clean air make up for it. It was worth the experience!!!

A fantastic Conservation Unit with great staff and infrastructure in the interior of Minas Gerais, space and activities for the whole family who enjoy trails and tranquility. It is possible to stay at PERP in accommodation for groups or even couples, the water pressure in the showers is fantastic, and there is a restaurant in the park with fantastic food and service. If so, go in peace.

Excelente. Recomendo!!

(Translated by Google) Really, as some reviews I read said, some spots on the dirt road are pretty bad. On arrival, the last 7km were more difficult for the suspension of the car. The rest of the way was perfect, patrolled and well maintained (August/22). We went through São Gonçalo do Rio Preto, the route indicated on the park's website. But it was worth it. The Park is very well maintained and has a camping structure, accommodation in the chalets. They have several clean bathrooms with hot showers. Filtered water drinking fountain. A show!! There are small, medium and long trails. I only regretted not having arrived earlier kkkkk The tour is wonderful and the destinations are stunning. I fell in love. Guided tours no longer exist, but everything is very well signposted. The restaurant is closed on weekdays with less traffic. So bring your lunch. O resto do caminho estava perfeito, patrolado e bem conservado (agosto/22). Um show!!

The park offers well-designed chalets for those who wish to stay, a camping area with bathrooms and also barbecue kiosks. In addition there is a restaurant where the food is very tasty! In the morning the homemade breads are the attraction of coffee, and the lunch time is more tasty with the cook's spice that is a delight! To visit the Crioulo and Semper Viva waterfalls, you need to be accompanied by a park guide, who are very kind and helpful. Anyway, for you do not know this park, it is worth venturing out for a few days there! You will love!!!
