Nice cozy Italian restaurant. Great people and the pizza was amazing. Joe and the staff really make this place what it is.

Giuseppe’s Cafe certainly lived up to our expectations. We were a group of 6 out for dinner celebrating. There was a very private and family feel to the restaurant. The food was served hot, fresh and it was well above the average! Waite staff took great care of us and kept our glasses topped off. This is not your typical Italian restaurant nor typical dishes. The food was so authentic I could have swore I saw Tony Soprano and his crew sharing a meal . 😉 Stop in and try this great little Italian restaurant. It was a great dinner and dining experience!

Had a meetball sub and it was amazing. It was the lunch special today so the price wasn't bad either. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, and good food at a fair price. So over all very pleased.

I have been eating here for many years. I haven't been there since before the pandemic due to moving away. I was so excited to stop by one of my favorite restaurants from my college days. They literally had the best Philly cheese steak sandwich in town. However, I ordered 2 to go today for myself and a family member and they were EXTREMELY salty. So much salt to the point that I got a nose bleed a few hours after only eating *half* of the sandwich. I couldn't eat the other half because it was too salty. It was so much salt to the point it was stinging my taste buds. What makes me more sad is the fact that I paid over $12 each for 2 sandwiches that couldnt be eaten. These sandwiches used to be around $9 for the 12 inch sub. I understand the rising cost of food, but the quality of food should not go down when prices rise. Things just change over time I guess. I didn't recognize the cooks so maybe that's why the food changed

Idk about the bad experiences of the others but for my fiancé and I it was AMAZING! Nice people, great food.

Great service with excellent food. Had the lasagna for lunch, cooked to order, and fresh. This place would not disappoint. This will be my go-to restaurant when I visit Birmingham.

The food was amazing!! Make reservations! Or make a order to go. Tables filled up right after thebdoors opened. I had their lasagna, my girlfriend had the meatball sub. Definitely try them if you have not already! We were visiting from the west coast.

This visit was my first time here, and what an incredible experience! It smelled too good to stop and take a picture before we could get a few bites in. Undoubtedly the best lasagna I've had in Alabama! The service was great, and even though it was bustling the servers didn't rush us and always made sure we were set with enough drinks and napkins. The cheese bread was great too!

This place is so nice and personable. The food is amazing and prices are good for the large servings. Wow!! The pasta salad is pretty and yummy. Took home a serving of Teramisu it is great!! For my meal I had Shrimp Pesto Linguine yum yum yum yum!! Yes is took a minute to find but I would have driven an hour for the wonderful place. Thanks so much for a delightful and wonderful place that I really enjoyed!!😍😍

I had an order of sautéed mushrooms which were amazing, the only problem was the calzone I ordered as my main dish. I ordered a 4 cheese calzone with pepperoni. All the ingredients tasted like they came from Walmart and the dough tasted like pillsbury pizza dough. They put the sauce on the inside which wasn’t the norm to me, it would have been somewhat fine if the sauce didn’t taste sour. The server was very nice though so I just told her I didn’t like that they put the sauce on the inside and they did end up giving a 50% discount on the calzone.

Excellent customer service. Our take out order included cheese bread sticks, house salad, manicotti, and pizza. We were on our way within 20 minutes. Our meal had a theme of "fresh". Everything tasted good! Our family was well pleased!

5 stars all day! Our party of 4 enjoyed a tip-top dining experience thanks to our friendly and attentive server, astounding dishes, and homey atmosphere. My lasagna was probably the most flavorful I've ever had. The portions are more than plentiful, as well as the choices on the menu. The parking situation is a little hairy, but it's well-lit. I recommend this restaurant.

I really wish this little jewel was closer to home. We made reservations for 10 plus a baby on a Friday night. The table was set and ready when we arrived at 7. Service was prompt and excellent. Good was great! Everyone ordered a different dish. We also had salads and appetizers. One of the best meals we had had since arriving in Birmingham.

Best food around! Lasagna and 7-Vegetable are my picks. Hubby likes the meat calzone. Daughter likes the shrimp pesto and the mushrooms from the app menu. You can’t go wrong.

I think this is a great little Italian place. Service has always been great anytime I've been there and the food is spectacular. I highly recommend it, and it's not overpriced. Very reasonable for the portions and the quality of the dining.

Wow, an incredible meal! We showed up late in the evening and were served quickly. The Chicken & Prosciutto Penne was recommended by our server was amazing. The Giuseppe's Special calzone was also delicious. Just up the street from UAB - if you're in town visiting, your taste buds will thank you for visiting here!

Went here on a whim because I've heard for years how great this place was and it didn't disappoint. There was no wait when we walked in because this is such a hidden gem. And when we sat down the waitress, Kelly, gave us all the care we needed. She suggested meals and also a good wine. She was on top of it all. From the water to drink to the bread, everything was great. We started off with Caesar salad which had a homemade dressing and was great. Then we had our Moscato which was great for what we expected. Then we had our main meals, Shrimp Scampi and the Chicken/Prosciutto Penne. Every bit if it was amazing and it was too much food to eat. So we had to take leftovers. The price was great also for an authentic-tasting Italian meal. Will definitely be going back to this secret place in Birmingham.

Absolutely amazing! Went for my birthday dinner on a Wednesday around 7pm, they were busy but not to the point we couldnt get seated within 5 minutes. Its very small and cozy, dim lights make it pleasant. The food, heavenly! I got the shrimp alfredo, my husband got the stuffed manicotti. We shared the sautéed mushrooms and Margherita pizza. I'm definitely spreading the word with my friends, for a great dinner date this place is a must!

The spaghetti and meatballs and the lasagna were very tasty and the portions were just right. The atmosphere was nice with a beautiful mural and the servers were very pleasant and attentive. On the downside... The tea tastes like it has a good bit of honey in it or some flavoring that I wasn't expecting so tea drinkers be aware. The water also tasted just a little unusual but I'm from out of town so maybe this is normal for Birmingham water. The garlic bread tasted like it was maybe made out of some kind of white bread that had sugar added, which I didn't care for. Maybe Hawaiian bread? I'm giving this place four stars because the main purpose for coming to an Italian restaurant was for the spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna, the atmosphere created by the beautiful mural, which we really enjoyed, and the servers were very good. Party of six and we were able to sit down when we walked up without reservations. Our seat was outside but it was a beautiful night. The food was good. Nice portions. Tucker, our server, was the best. Very nice and attentive. #Tipyourwaiter
