If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would...the room was filthy. The sheets were even more filthy. On top of that my son and woke up covered in bed bug bites even though we slept on top of the comfortable. Although the gentleman that checked me in was very nice and welcoming, the owner is extremely road. Do not and I repeat...DO NOT STAY HERE. There are better options in the area.

We spent one night and that was enough. The place was rundown. The carpet was filthy, the curtains wera dirty, three of our four lamps didn't work and grout was missing in the bathroom. I requested a handicap room. I was given a non handicap room on the second floor of a hotel with no elevator.

When we first checked in Saturday, it seemed okay. Definitely older and rough around the edges. But the room was clean and the staff was polite. Unfortunately, the a/c stopped cooling the room. It would run for a few minutes and then shut off, never long enough to cool it down. I called the front desk and she told me she did not have any maintenance staff available. Being in the area on a busy weekend with no other hotel options, we decided to persevere. However, once we settled into bed, we discovered bedbugs. I notified the front desk. They had no extra rooms. So we had no choice but to check out and drive home at 1am. I called to speak with the manager Monday morning, she argued with me and told me it was “impossible” because they have bed bug covers. She also argued with me that it was impossible that the ac wasn’t working, and basically talked over me the whole time. She effectively said someone that works for her has to prove what I said or I don’t get a refund. I’m sure we can all imagine how that’s going to turn out. These people have no interest in customer service. Do not waste your money or your time at this place.

Poor customer service. When I travel to Hoover I always stay at the particular hotel. Never had an issue. But this last time was HORRIBLE! Went through Booking.com to purchase the room which was 135.00 . Get there front desk guy was nice and told me the room was only 85.00. Sunday when I checked out just leaving the hotel they charge my card 24.00 for 2 towels they claim I stole. I’m baffled. I will never steal especially towels! I check me, my mom and daughter bags to make sure. Didn’t see any towels. I was willing to come back to show proof! The supervisor with housekeeping knew I was coming back and she had left. But they deposited the 24.00 back in my account twice. But today without an call the manager took out 24.00 again without my knowledge. I didn’t mind for it to come out again because I figured it was mistake for 24.00 deposit into my acct. Manager told me I won’t get my 50.00 back because the front desk charge me wrong. I don’t want the money back. It’s the principle how the manager and front desk customers service is terrible! Especially making assumptions I took those towels. The manager didn’t let me speak as I was trying to explain. She said what she have to say and hung up on me. Not only that the floors were dirty and bathroom not clean. IF YOU GO THERE PLEASE ASK HOW MANY TOWELS SHOULD BE IN THE ROOM.

The staff was as friendly and helpful as humanly possible! Lizabeth was especially helpful she really acts like she cares about the guests and does an amazing job and always with a smile! There was another girl I think her name was Joanna but that doesn't seem right but that helped us several times very professionally. The entire staff was at all times perfect

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this hotel, after reading these reviews. The room was clean. Nothing was broken. There were no pests. Our stay was fine. No problems with the room or staff. We only spoke with the guy at front desk when we checked in, and the maid when we were leaving, both of whom were polite and friendly.

Be ready to search for a parking space since they use this parking as extra income to shuttle and keep vehicles for the airport as well. In a bit of a rough neighborhood. Needs retaining walls built to enclose the property for saftey. Tight turning in and out of property so be aware during high traffic time especially at night. All if the ice machines on all floors dont work. There is one in the lobby they put in for the restaurant-left of the info desk. Extreme props to putting up with and allowing the group we like to meet up with of around 100 people to meet and have great weekends each month. There should be a warning for those 2 days each month to other families that look to book there. over all property is not well maintained, cleaning is at a minimum, broken windows and room amenities are bare minimum. Carefull walking halls the floors are uneven in many places making it easy to fall with high hells and week ankles. Food menu looked amazing at amazing prices but they do not make it very inviting . They should offer room service from the restaurant. There is No steps going into the pool, I have never seen such a thing. This would be an extremely easy fix but poor management. Just go buy a block off steps an sit it down. You have to jump in and hope you are strong enough to climb out on latters that are over waist high to get up on. Not good for kids, elderly, or any type of impairment.

Very nice lady at the front desk offered us drinks upon arrival. Great location for The Galleria or Oak Mtn Amphitheater. Perfect price for a place to lay your head after a concert. About 4 miles from the Amphitheater, and when leaving the venue its opposite of the traffic flow, so we got back very quickly. Room could be updated, but everything was clean and cold AC.

The rooms were cheap but you definitely get what you pay for. The room was not clean. My wife moved a corner couch and it looked like there was animal droppings. Most of the outlets didn't work. The shower had gaps like the grout had come off the tiles in the shower. When you took a shower the water quickly pooled on your feet. The coffee maker looked dirty. The phone in the room didn't work to call anyone let alone the front desk. The house keeping would knock but they couldn't hear your answer because they had headphones on. The workers were moving furniture into adjacent rooms early by 8am. They were loud and slammed the furniture against our adjoining wall. The feet of the furniture were broken off and left in front of our door walkway. It has potential to be a nice place it just needs some renovations and better maintenance people. The ladies at the front desk were nice and no issues with them. All in all I will most likely never stay there again.

This place is your typical motel that badly needs an update and cleaning. The decor is outdated and it's almost as if they pay no attention to the rooms themselves. I was there for 3 nights and ended up with a room with a double bed and decided to sleep in each bed - The sheets were never changed, just remade. I had surgery in August on my face and sometimes still bled from my nose and they did not even change the sheets, just remade the bed. The "breakfast" is usually consumed by the railroad workers staying at the hotel right at 6am and they do not replace anything as the time passes. The days I was there I was downstairs by 7:30am and there was only coffee and small sized Sunny D drinks. The woman at the front desk when I checked in was amazing but everything else about this place sucked.

I've stayed here several times. This time I was treated somewhat differently as there is a new owner on the property. I first called the hotel directly like I usually did to reserve a room The rate they quoted me ended up being $200 more than what I found online. When I arrived in booked I was told that they had no rooms for me even though I had prepaid and the new owner attempted to upgrade me at a higher fee for a king size room. He then told me that I should pay more attention when I book my reservations. I informed him I'd been there several times and I had never been treated like this prior. After several back and forth s he gave me a king size bed instead of the queen I had booked. Couple of other observations I noticed from the last time I was there The shower water pressure was very low as it was hard to rinse the soap and ther was very little hot water. I do like the location because it's close to where my family is that I was visiting. The staff was still very friendly and helpful as they remembered my previous visits. I'm hopeful that as the new owner grows into his position he will learn that repeat customers is the lifeblood of his business.

To start , I experienced blood stains in my unit's bathroom that was on the door to the bathroom that was unfamiliar to my DNA.(see attachment) In addition, I opened my suit case on the couch to get ready for bed to discover a forgin creature that did not travel with me, purched in my personal items... a ROACH! THIS IS SHOCKING AND UNACCEPTABLE! To make my experience even better at checkout (with JAY) ... she infomed me of your policy that I should have made a statement in the middle of the night stating your policy. I was not ok with this experience.

Nice little place, was very close to the event I was attending and restaurants when I was headed home. They allow pets so if I get a chance to get back to Birmingham I'll bring my dog. B overall

If I could give this place zero stars I will! This place if filthy and mice infested. I stayed here with my child and literally caught 3 mice on a trap because when I told them about the pro alarm all they did was bring me a trap. My daughter was also bitten up. I showed proof and asked for a refund to leave and they denied it. I wouldn’t recommend any one staying here unless you don’t mind pets in the room with you.

Affordable, clean and safe hotel next to Galleria Mall, had cereal and waffles for breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Budget hotel and nothing more. Area felt safe. No craziness going on around hotel while we were there. Rooms really weren’t clean, but also not horrible. Several spots on the walls, door, and floor that need to be cleaned better. Breakfast was okay. We both thought the waffles tasted funky. I usually love these waffles but the batter must have been old or not mixed properly. Coffee also tasted odd. It’s fine for a night if you just need a place to shower and sleep. Panera bread within walking distance just across the street.

Who says this is only a two star! The room was clean plus it had an iron and board, mini fridge, hair dryer,tv and continental breakfast. For the money it's at least a 3star.

Super friendly staff, good location, quiet. Room was what one should expect from a budget-minded inn. Wifi was slow and inconsistent, about 3-6Mbps up and down. Water pressure from the shower was extremely low, and bed very firm under a thin pillow top.

Said pet friendly on google and on ads. After making reservations and arriving, they charged us an extra $25.00 for my 7lb emotional support animal. No where on the website or on google do they mention the extra charge. Do not stay here. Old and dirty.

Contrary to previous reviews, I think the rooms are acceptably clean for the cost. There were a few coffee stains on the floor, but I could tell it was well-vacuumed. Provided toiletries were nice and the bathroom was decently clean. However: the curtain is installed so poorly as to prevent privacy (and darkness) without jamming it into the door before it’s shut. Also, water pressure is low; took me ages to wash my hair.

I have stayed many times and enjoyed it. However, the last time they stole $93 from me saying money wasn't taken off of my card, so I payed cash. Checked bank acc.and yes they did take the money from my bank and made me pay again in cash. I took proof from the bank to the lady at the desk she still wouldn't give me the cash back. Now the bank is disputing the charge. Watch how they charge you, check your acc before you agree to stay a night.

The facility was modern and clean. Was in a nice, fairly quiet part of town, not far from shops and restaurants. The service at the front counter was friendly enough and room fee reasonable. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The property was not as portrayed on the website. I encountered a guy that was hanging around the lobby. He asked if I could help him get a room. Apparently he was $30 short of having enough cash for a room. The non-smoking rooms are directly above the smoking rooms. The room had a faint odor of cigarette smoke. The shower has hot water! That's a plus! This property is not what I expected for Wyndham! But, then Hoover near the Galleria is not what it was....

Came here on a business trip and stayed in a single bed room. Comfortable for a short stay. Everything was clean when I arrived. Can't say anything of housekeeping over time as I only stayed a single night. Definitely a great place to stay for a one night stay. Right next to the Galleria mall so there's a lot to do with little travel.
